  1. Sorry guys, this is a pretty much FULL log of the vengeance game, minus ambient effects, so it is VERY long.
  2.
  3. [quote]The very heavens emit an alien pall of polychromatic colour as the multifarious voices of Morgfyre, the Legion thunder, "It has been some time since We have borne witness to you mortals doing what it seems you do best."
  4.
  5. The very heavens emit an alien pall of polychromatic colour as the multifarious voices of Morgfyre, the Legion thunder, "To those who would see Vengeance upon their transgressors, come before Us and take Our challenge!"
  6.
  7. A bright flash erupts near the summit of Avechna's Peak as the Ruins of the Vengeful once more intersect with this timeline, heralding the initiation of a Vengeance game!
  8.
  9. Arcs of icy white energy blaze across the firmament as Zvoltz, the Architect shouts, "Gaudiguch should be rather good at this. A game of deceit and backstabbing should be right up their alley after all this time with Mysrai."
  10.
  11. You see Morgfyre, the Legion shout, "Now, Zvoltz, there is no need to be so sore at the notion that the finer points of clever strategy are beyond you."
  12.
  13. Arcs of icy white energy blaze across the firmament as Zvoltz, the Architect shouts, "It is quite alright, Morgfyre. I know that the concept of being trustworthy is beyond You."
  14. The very heavens emit an alien pall of polychromatic colour as the multifarious voices of Morgfyre, the Legion thunder, "Should you have trouble finding your way, inform Us. We shall begin directly."
  15.
  16. The very heavens emit an alien pall of polychromatic colour as the multifarious voices of Morgfyre, the Legion thunder, "Note that this particular bout holds great reward for those with the tenacity to survive - or to do away with their erstwhile compatriots."
  17.
  18. The very heavens emit an alien pall of polychromatic colour as the multifarious voices of Morgfyre, the Legion thunder, "The risk and glory is yours, mortals. Do entertain Us."
  19.
  20. You are an assassin from the foreign government to the south, tasked with slaying each and every member of the citizenry so that your kin may take the city over for themselves. Slay well and preserve your identity carefully, for secrecy is key if you are to survive long enough to carry out your mission! --YOU ARE AN ASSASSIN!--
  21.
  22. You find yourself within the crumbling sanctuary of your home city, barely surviving after countless months of repelling invaders from the south. The repeated attacks have left the citizenry weary and the city itself in a poor state indeed, but you have managed to persevere to such a degree that the foreign armies have stopped attacking altogether. Recent months have revealed that they have simply taken a different approach, however - covert assassins from the foreign government have infiltrated your city and are slowly picking off the remaining population one by one! The citizens must band together and rout the assassins from their midst before they are destroyed from within!

  192.
  193. Holorei Swiftwing says, "Indeed, we are at a disadvantage now."
  194.
  195. Alarion the Horseless says, "There are a -lot- of assassins."

  206.
  207. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Far more of the populace, however."
  208.
  209. You say, "There may be 5 assassins but they can only kill one per night. Do not panic needlessly."

  212.
  213. Dath ponders the situation.

  227. Klayck ponders for a moment and says "Hrm..."
  228.

  237. Dath Darkscar says, "I find it hard to pick anyone to randomly lynch."
  238.
  239. Holorei Swiftwing says, "Apparently."
  240.
  241. Dagu the Dark says, "Though at this point we would be killing at random, bad business."
  242.

  250.
  251. Dath Darkscar says, "Especially since there are still more citizens than there are assassins."
  252.
  253. Broult the Thick-furred says, "Odds are not really in our favour for a random lynch."
  254.
  255. Dath Darkscar says, "There's a large chance we'd hit a citizen."
  256.
  257. Princess Stephanie says, "We need to organize our own forces without revealing them."
  258.
  259. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "If we are going to kill someone, Olgei is better than a random choice. But perhaps not that much better."
  260.
  261. Klayck nods his head emphatically.
  262.
  263. Princess Stephanie says, "We have a protector and a detective."
  264.

  272.
  273. Dath shrugs helplessly.
  274.
  275. Svetora One-Eye says, "A random lynch, no, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss what happened."
  276.
  277. Rommo the Runt says to Olgei, "At least you can buy soap, you can't buy height."
  278.
  279. Dirty Olgei says, "Good to know justice will stand."
  280.
  281. Dath chuckles long and heartily.
  282.
  283. Olgei grumbles angrily.

  288.
  289. Dagu the Dark says to Rommo, "Large shoes."
  290.
  291. Svetora One-Eye says to Phehgoshl, "By that logic, you're next, Muddy's only a step above Dirty."
  292.
  293. Holorei Swiftwing says, "Or one step below, depending."
  294.
  295. Alarion the Horseless says, "I'd say muddy is worse."
  296.
  297. Klayck ponders for a moment and says "Hrm..."
  298.
  299. Rommo the Runt says to Dagu, "And I'd still be short but I digress."
  300.
  301. Muddy Phehgoshl says to Svetora, "It's more because he wanted to go without talking for a full minute when there's investigation to do."
  302.
  303. Svetora One-Eye says to Holorei, "It implies that there was water at one point."
  304.
  305. Dirty Olgei says, "If we're giving in to steriotypical nominations, how about one of you noble folk? It's always a noble because they're above the law."
  306.
  307. Svetora One-Eye says, "To muddy true."
  308.
  309. Dath Darkscar says, "Do we have any butlers?"
  310.
  311. Svetora coughs softly.
  312.
  313. Dirty Olgei says, "Or consider themselves to be."
  314.
  315. Svetora One-Eye says to Phehgoshl, "True."
  316.
  317. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Rather than any sort of class or dirt-based bias."
  318.
  319. Phehgoshl rubs his chin thoughtfully, glancing about before voting to lynch nobody.
  320.
  321. Svetora One-Eye says, "Ah, I thought we were biasing on smell."
  322.
  323. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "I say we give the detective another night."
  324.
  325. Anair Goldoak says, "I'm inferring from all of this that we have nothing of value to discuss."
  326.
  327. Dath Darkscar says, "If we go by titles, surely Klayck the Frigid has a cold heart, cruel and capable of murder!"
  328.
  329. Throwing his hands in the air, Dath tosses his head back and laughs sadistically.
  330.
  331. Alarion the Horseless says, "And they are keeping all the horses to themselves."
  332.
  333. Alarion gives a pained sigh.
  334.
  335. Dath Darkscar says to Anair, "Nope, not really."
  336.
  337. Stephanie ponders for a moment and says "Hrm..."
  338.
  339. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Not a cruel heart, Dath, just not very open to emotion."
  340.
  341. Cavri Mesiayo, the Wise says, "Smell is as good as any at this point witohut evedence."
  342.
  343. Svetora One-Eye says to Anair, "We've each other to discuss, unless you'd like to stand around and pray the detective grows lucky several times in a row?"
  344.
  345. Dagu the Dark says, "Well, at least someone is doing something... even if it is voting to do nothing. More time, more evidence. We may need to chance it."
  346.
  347. Dirty Olgei says, "So is sight. Someone with a lot of money has a lot ot hide."
  348.
  349. Delea Delorney says, "Why must there be death?"
  350.
  351. Delea cowers in a corner, whimpering.
  352.
  353. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "Never trust anyone with no depth perception."
  354.
  355. It is now halfway through day one.
  356.
  357. Dath gives Svetora the once-over, eyeing him suspiciously.
  358.
  359. Duke Endol says to Delea, "Because others bring death to us, Delea. We do not choose it for ourselves."
  360.
  361. Dirty Olgei says, "How about we vote for the oldest as they're the ones who will kick it before us if we all survive anyway."
  362.
  363. Tavora gives a pained sigh.
  364.
  365. Cavri Mesiayo, the Wise says, "Because death is what assassins do sadly."
  366.
  367. Dath gives a pained sigh.
  368.
  369. Cavri frowns and shakes her fist angrily.
  370.
  371. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Endol's rather quiet."
  372.
  373. Svetora One-Eye says to Dath, "And if you listened, you'd notice I was scorning the idea of lynching based on appearance earlier."
  374.
  375. You say, "Actually he has been talking quite a bit."
  376.
  377. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "It's quite hard to keep people seperated in a group so large."
  378.
  379. Phehgoshl peers about himself unscrupulously.
  380.
  381. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Has he?"
  382.
  383. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "My apologies."
  384.
  385. Duke Endol says, "You lie, Phehgoshl. I have given advice where I have advice to give."
  386.
  387. Comprehension flashes across Phehgoshl's face.
  388.
  389. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Oh, the Duke."
  390.
  391. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Right, right."
  392.
  393. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Indeed, the Duke has been vocal as needed."
  394.
  395. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "See, even Phehgoshl thinks people have not spoken when they have."
  396.
  397. Dagu the Dark says, "There are many of us, which lends itself to lost voices."
  398.
  399. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "It is rather confusing."
  400.
  401. Svetora One-Eye says to Dath, "Which may say something about you both."
  402.
  403. Duke Endol says, "Indeed. Be it deafness or senility, I am not inclined to hold it against you."
  404.
  405. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "What's Dath done again?"
  406.
  407. Muddy Phehgoshl says to Endol, "I think it may be the mud in my ears."
  408.
  409. Dath shrugs helplessly.
  410.
  411. Tavora Skypiercer says, "Why are we killing Dath?"
  412.
  413. Duke Endol says to Phehgoshl, "You may want to see about cleaning that out, then."
  414.
  415. Dath Darkscar says, "We're killing me? First I've heard of it."
  416.
  417. Svetora One-Eye says, "We're not, we're merely observing."
  418.
  419. Dagu sucks thoughtfully on his teeth.
  420.
  421. Dath looks about himself suspiciously.
  422.
  423. Dath Darkscar says, "Has Broult spoken?"
  424.

  426.
  427. Svetora narrows her eyes at Stephanie in an unnerving manner.
  428.
  429. Dath shakes his head.
  430.
  431. Alarion the Horseless says, "I really hope nobody would claim to be the detective."
  432.
  433. Cavri utters a deep, rumbling laugh at Stephanie.
  434.
  435. Anair raises an eyebrow questioningly.
  436.
  437. Svetora One-Eye says, "That is an assassin's question."
  438.
  439. Dirty Olgei says, "Whoever declares themself the detective opens themself to attack."
  440.
  441. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "It would be a bad idea."
  442.
  443. Broult the Thick-furred says, "Likely too early to claim."
  444.
  445. Dath Darkscar says, "You would expect someone to claim to be the detective?"
  446.
  447. Svetora One-Eye says, "Why would our detective reveal themselves so soon?"
  448.
  449. Princess Stephanie says, "We have a protector, so it wouldn't be entirely suicidal."
  450.
  451. Anair Goldoak says, "And if the protector were to die? What then?"
  452.
  453. Princess Stephanie says, "However, the real threat is a false claim to its ability."
  454.
  455. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Can the protector stop both the assassins and the killer?"
  456.
  457. Svetora One-Eye says, "Unless the Protector dies next, then our detective is defenseless!"
  458.
  459. Dirty Olgei says, "I told you, it's the nobles because they can get away with it."
  460.
  461. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Indeed, Princess."
  462.
  463. Stephanie nods her head emphatically.
  464.
  465. Cavri Mesiayo, the Wise says to Stephanie, "'they'd probly be the next death."
  466.
  467. Dath sniggers evilly.
  468.
  469. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "If both go after the detective..."
  470.
  471. Dagu the Dark says, "It is... not an intelligent move."
  472.
  473. Phehgoshl frets over everything that might go wrong.
  474.
  475. Duke Endol says, "Far too dangerous."
  476.
  477. Pressing her hands together before her, Celina bows her head and a golden glow suffuses the area around her solar plexus.
  478.
  479. Phehgoshl nods his head at Endol.
  480.
  481. Princess Stephanie says, "In fact, I will admit it. I am the detective."
  482.
  483. Anair raises an eyebrow questioningly.
  484.
  485. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Um."
  486.
  487. Rommo ponders the situation.
  488.
  489. Lady-In-Waiting Kathyrin says, "Wouldn't the assassins simply go after someone else if it were known the detective was protected?"
  490.
  491. Dath Darkscar says, "Really now."
  492.
  493. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "I don't beleive that."
  494.
  495. Dath rolls his eyes.
  496.
  497. Dirty Olgei says, "I'm genuinely at a loss at what to do next."
  498.
  499. Rommo the Runt says, "Now that was rash."
  500.
  501. Duke Endol says, "Then why did you ask for someone to reveal himself, rather than simply stating your skills?"
  502.
  503. You say, "Neither do I."
  504.
  505. Dath Darkscar says, "Wait for night, I suppose."
  506.
  507. Broult the Thick-furred says, "Hmm."
  508.
  509. Svetora One-Eye says, "Perhaps hoping for a liar, perhaps a fool, perhaps an assassin."
  510.
  511. Princess Stephanie says, "If someone tries to kill me, then we might know who our assassins are."
  512.
  513. Kathyrin jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  514.
  515. Lerad suddenly loses focus in his eyes and shudders, then looks curiously refreshed.
  516.
  517. Lerad releases a folded origami flame and it flutters into the air and around him, its charm dissolving into the air around him as the vellum disappears in tiny motes of dust.
  518.
  519. Pressing his hands together before him, Lerad bows his head and a golden glow suffuses the area around his solar plexus.
  520.
  521. The sky lightens and stars fade as Father Sun approaches the horizon in his neverending quest to capture Mother Night.
  522.
  523. You say, "How do we know that she is not the serial killer or vigilante simply trying to throw everyone off..."
  524.
  525. Dath Darkscar says, "Are we untrusting enough to lynch the Princess?"
  526.
  527. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Have the watcher watch you. Clever."
  528.
  529. Phehgoshl puts his hands on his hips and goes "Hmmm!"
  530.
  531. Stephanie nods her head emphatically.
  532.
  533. Rommo the Runt says, "At this juncture, no. There are too many people."
  534.
  535. Svetora One-Eye says to Dath, "Would you trust anyone right now?"
  536.
  537. You feel that day one will end imminently.
  538.
  539. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "Kathyrin seems to wish to lynch her."
  540.
  541. Dath shrugs helplessly.
  542.
  543. Svetora frowns at Dath.
  544.
  545. Princess Stephanie says, "Shouldn't the mafia want to kill me now?"
  546.
  547. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Ooh."
  548.
  549. Svetora One-Eye says, "Yes, I saw."
  550.
  551. Duke Endol says, "Perhaps our alleged detective should be watched this night, so that we can know the truth?"
  552.
  553. Dath Darkscar says, "I wonder why Kathyrin would do that."
  554.
  555. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "I would also ask that the protector protect Stephanie, so the Watcher knows who the protector is."
  556.
  557. Dath peers about himself unscrupulously.
  558.
  559. You say, "That being said, with the day due to end, I am withholding my vote. The odds are against us and we are no closer to deciding than we were at the start."
  560.
  561. Dath Darkscar says, "Truth spoken."
  562.
  563. Duke Endol says, "I agree."
  564.
  565. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "There's using your noodle."
  566.
  567. Broult the Thick-furred says, "I concur."
  568.
  569. Alarion the Horseless says, "There's a big problem with that. The watcher will have no idea who is the killer and who is the protector."
  570.
  571. Dirty Olgei says, "I shall vote for none. I will not get my already dirtied hands covered with blood."
  572.
  573. You rub your chin thoughtfully, glancing about before voting to lynch nobody.
  574.
  575. Anair Goldoak says, "Any way this goes, it is a bold move. Let's hope it works out in our favor, rather than against it."
  576.
  577. Lady-In-Waiting Kathyrin says, "How about lynch you because you didn't back up your claim and if you're not the detective then what would that make you to lie so?"
  578.
  579. Alarion the Horseless says, "If they announce who they saw observing, well."
  580.
  581. Svetora nods her head at Alarion.
  582.
  583. Delea shudders violently.
  584.
  585. Alarion the Horseless says, "It will be very, very clear who the protector is."
  586.
  587. Olgei shuffles away to a corner and broods about something.
  588.
  589. Defensively raising his hands, Dath backs away from the situation slowly.
  590.
  591. Princess Stephanie asks, "If I die tonight, then I am innocent, yes?"
  592.
  593. Dath Darkscar says, "Well, then what's the point?"
  594.
  595. Anair Goldoak says, "Not like it would do us a lot of good."
  596.
  597. The day has come to an end and the gallows remain empty; no-one has been lynched today.
  598.
  599. It is now night one.
  600.
  601. As the sun is swallowed by the earth and the stars begin to appear, you proceed home, racing against the darkness to settle into your bed, silently praying to see morning.
  602. You wake up in silence and sneak away to decide who should die tonight.
  603.
  604. (Assassins): Dagu says, "Well well well."
  605.
  606. (Assassins): Dath says, "So."
  607.
  608. (Assassins): Dath says, "What's my title, again?"
  609.
  610. (Assassins): You say, "I say to throw them off we kill nobody."
  611.
  612. (Assassins): Olgei says, "I was this close to nominating you for assassination Holorei for accusing me."
  613.
  614. (Assassins): Olgei says, "We're meant to work together as assassins."
  615.
  616. (Assassins): Holorei says, "VENGEANCE ROLE."
  617.
  618. (Assassins): Dath says, "Ah, Darkscar."
  619.
  620. (Assassins): Dath says, "Fitting."
  621.
  622. (Assassins): Olgei says, "What about it?"
  623.
  624. (Assassins): Dagu says, "Well, we'd at least not kill Stephanie... which is works in her favour, slightly smart that."
  625.
  626. (Assassins): You say, "Oh come now, we are not meant to be arguing among us."
  627.
  628. (Assassins): Holorei says, "Okay, shut up. Pick a vocal target."
  629.
  630. (Assassins): Dath says, "Let us commit regicide."
  631.
  632. (Assassins): Olgei says, "That's what they want us to do."
  633.
  634. (Assassins): You say, "No. The watcher will be watching her."
  635.
  636. It is now halfway through night one.
  637. (Assassins): Dath says, "Elend."
  638.
  639. (Assassins): You say, "I say kill nobody."
  640.
  641. (Assassins): Dath says, "Is the king."
  642.
  643. (Assassins): Holorei says, "Phehgoshl perhaps."
  644.
  645. (Assassins): Dath says, "If I die, blame it on someone."
  646.
  647. (Assassins): Dagu says, "I am inlined to either Svetora or anair."
  648.
  649. Jinx shimmers into existence before you.
  650.
  651. (Assassins): Olgei says, "Is that muddy bloke an assassin?"
  652.
  653. (Assassins): You say, "How about Rommo? He was very quiet."
  654.
  655. You feel that night one will end imminently.
  656.
  657. (Assassins): Olgei says, "We should kill the king so that they have no leader and fall into more chaos."
  658.
  659. (Assassins): You say, "We must hurry, we are out of time."
  660.
  661. Dath withdraws his dagger and murmurs Rommo's name under his breath, marking him for death. Grinning cruelly, Dath departs for Rommo's home, ready to slay him this night.
  662. This decision will not be acted upon unless it is unanimous.
  663.
  664. As you approach the square the following morning, you are horrified to see the dead body of Delea, the vigilante, sprawled across the ground, strangulation marks visible around her throat. She has fallen victim to the lunatic!
  665. With massive wings of black feathers, with a white band running through the pinions outspread, a giant feral eagle soars out majestically on air currents to the ether.
  666.
  667. It is now day two.
  668.
  669. The sun rises in the distance and you climb warily out of bed, dressing quickly and approaching the square as another day of deliberations begins.
  670.
  671. Cavri shouts "Oi!" at the top of her voice.
  672.
  673. Dath Darkscar says, "...What?"
  674.
  675. Svetora blinks.
  676.
  677. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Killer killed the vigilante."
  678.
  679. Dirty Olgei says, "Buggering Nil."
  680.
  681. Dagu the Dark says, "Interesting."
  682.
  683. Anair Goldoak says, "The coward was the vigilante? Good grief."
  684.
  685. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Well then."
  686.
  687. Svetora One-Eye says, "A clever enough guise."
  688.
  689. Dath Darkscar says, "That's surprising."
  690.
  691. You say, "Very interesting..."
  692.
  693. Duke Endol says, "Hm. Am I correct in my understanding that the assassins did not act, then?"
  694.
  695. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid says, "Quite surprising."
  696.
  697. Svetora One-Eye says, "Which does leave the question of our dear Princess."
  698.
  699. Rommo the Runt says, "No one would suspect him at least."
  700.
  701. Svetora One-Eye says, "Did not act or were blocked."
  702.
  703. Princess Stephanie says, "It would appear they did not."
  704.
  705. You say, "Aye. The assassins did not act apparently."
  706.
  707. Anair Goldoak says, "If they acted, they were stopped."
  708.
  709. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "To stephine did you find anyone?"
  710.
  711. Muddy Phehgoshl says to Stephanie, "Did you find anyone?"
  712.
  713. Dirty Olgei says, "You are quick to trust her clai that she is what she claimed."
  714.
  715. Stephanie shakes her head.
  716.
  717. Rami is ripped from your location by an unseen force.
  718.
  719. Tavora gives a pained sigh.
  720.
  721. Svetora One-Eye says, "Very quick, how convenient she has nothing to give us."
  722.
  723. Muddy Phehgoshl says to Olgei, "I don't trust her, but I do want to know what she claims do have done this night."
  724.
  725. Rommo creases his brow in a frown.
  726.
  727. Anair Goldoak says, "If you are indeed the detective, surely you can tell us the details of your investigations?"
  728.
  729. Dath Darkscar says, "Yes, detective. What did you do?"
  730.
  731. Duke Endol says, "Can you give an assurance that one person or another is innocent, then? That person will at least believe you if you are telling the truth."
  732.
  733. Princess Stephanie says, "For my friends in the crowd, I hope you know that my words are true."
  734.
  735. Anair shakes her head.
  736.
  737. Anair Goldoak says, "It will not be a guarantee."
  738.
  739. Svetora One-Eye says, "Or if she's an assassin, she'll speak another assassin's name."
  740.
  741. Anair Goldoak says, "The killer, remember, will show up as innocent."
  742.
  743. Princess Stephanie says, "If you lynch me now, it will still serve our purposes."
  744.
  745. Dirty Olgei says to Phehgoshl, "Us common folk should stick together."
  746.
  747. Anair Goldoak says, "Be quiet with your dramatics."
  748. Anair Goldoak says, "Just tell us who you investigated."
  749.
  750. Duke Endol says to Anair, "Oh. I stand corrected, then."
  751.
  752. Princess Stephanie says, "You will see who acted against me if I should die and know who to bring vengeance upon."
  753.
  754. Muddy Phehgoshl says to Endol, "An assassin could give the same information."
  755.
  756. Anair Goldoak says, "Who did you investigate?"
  757.
  758. Dath Darkscar says, "So you're saying that anyone who tries to lynch you is suspect."
  759.
  760. Svetora One-Eye says to Stephanie, "How would lynching you serve our purposes?"
  761.
  762. Dagu the Dark says, "You are doing a lovely job of avoiding the question, Princess."
  763.
  764. Dath Darkscar says to Svetora, "Because she says that anyone who lynches her should be lynched next."
  765.
  766. Duke Endol says to Phehgoshl, "Hm. I had not thought of that."
  767.
  768. Dirty Olgei says to Dagu, "She's a politician it's what they do."
  769.
  770. Svetora One-Eye says to Dath, "Yes, logic, that."
  771.
  772. Princess Stephanie says, "I am not saying that, per se."
  773.
  774. Anair Goldoak says, "If you are the detective, you lose nothing by offering this information. It's not like you're going to give away your role."
  775.
  776. Rommo the Runt says, "No we won't since you won't tell us who was investigated."
  777.
  778. Dirty Olgei says, "Politicians cannot be trusted."
  779.
  780. Princess Stephanie says, "But you will be able to consider their words."
  781.
  782. Svetora One-Eye says, "Because she's not been suspicious enough!"
  783.
  784. Anair Goldoak says, "Who did you invesigate, both times, and what was the result?"
  785.
  786. Anair tilts her head and listens intently to Stephanie.
  787.
  788. Holorei gives Anair the once-over, eyeing her suspiciously.
  789.
  790. Finger extended, Phehgoshl pokes Stephanie.
  791.
  792. Holorei Swiftwing looks skeptical and says, "Why are we pushing the detective around."
  793.
  794. Anair Goldoak says, "All I want to know is this information. There is no reason you wouldn't offer it."
  795.
  796. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "Go on. Who did you investigate the last few nights?"
  797.
  798. Klayck Rokke, the Frigid asks Stephanie, "Well, who was it then?"
  799.
  800. Svetora One-Eye says to Holorei, "Because we've no proof she's the detective."
  801.
  802. Anair Goldoak says, "The alleged detective. I want to know why she's avoiding the question."
  803.
  804. Dath Darkscar says, "Because they probably aren't the detective."
  805.
  806. Princess Stephanie says, "Please, calm yourselves."
  807.
  808. Viynain shimmers into existence before you.
  809.
  810. Viynain mutters and traces a glowing circle before him. He steps through the circle and suddenly vanishes from sight.
  811.
  812. Anair Goldoak says, "Princess Stephanie, all I want is an answer to the question."
  813.
  814. "Cool!" Dath exclaims.
  815.
  816. Princess Stephanie says, "It is the truth, I am a mere populace."
  817.
  818. You say, "She could very easily be the killer, as I said before. We know she is not the vigilante because they are dead."
  819.
  820. Alarion looks up into the air for divine inspiration.
  821.
  822. Dath places a hand to his breast and heaves a dramatic sigh, glancing skyward.
  823.
  824. Holorei Swiftwing says, "Naming names won't prove it either, good grief. Did you guys take a hit of kola first."
  825.
  826. Lady-In-Waiting Kathyrin says, "Wouldn't providing the information open one up to assassination?"
  827.
  828. The Iron Key to the Infernal Machine clicks and clanks with a cacophony of mechanical noises, a trickle of crimson blood streaming from one of the eye sockets for a moment.
  829.
  830. Alarion the Horseless says, "So you now confess to lying."
  831.
  832. Phehgoshl jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  833.
  834. Svetora One-Eye says, "Theoretically she's already open to assassination."
  835.
  836. Svetora shakes her head.
  837.
  838. Muddy Phehgoshl says, "She's definitely an assassin. No real populace would be that dumb."
  839.
  840. Klayck jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  841.
  842. I missed that altogether.
  843.
  844. Anair Goldoak says, "Wait, first."
  845.
  846. Princess Stephanie says, "I knew the risk beforehand, this will merely prove the truth."
  847.
  848. Duke Endol says, "So she used herself as bait to reveal an assassin, in principle at least. I find this somewhat unlikely."
  849.
  850. Svetora One-Eye says, "I would hope not."
  851.
  852. You jab an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  853.
  854. Svetora jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  855.
  856. Dath Darkscar says, "Well, I suppose if the mob is lynching."
  857.
  858. Glorious rays of morning light burst forth from Father Sun's crown as it peeks over the world's edge, announcing a bright and shining new dawn.
  859.
  860. Lady-In-Waiting Kathyrin says, "I meant if she is not and someone else spoke up."
  861.
  862. Holorei rolls his eyes.
  863.
  864. Kathyrin jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  865.
  866. Dath jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  867.
  868. Anair Goldoak says, "We have plenty of time before we need to act, you know."
  869.
  870. Dirty Olgei says, "I'm abstaining. I have made many mistakes in my life but murder will not be one of them!"
  871.
  872. Holorei jabs an angry finger toward Stephanie, voting to lynch her.
  873.
  874. Phehgoshl rubs his chin thoughtfully, glancing about before voting to lynch nobody.
  875.
  876. Phehgoshl nods his head at Anair.
  877.
  878. Dath raises an eyebrow questioningly.
  879.
  880. Olgei rubs his chin thoughtfully, glancing about before voting to lynch nobody.
  881.
  882. Dath rubs his chin thoughtfully, glancing about before voting to lynch nobody.
  883.
  884. Svetora One-Eye says, "And if she lives to muddy the waters further?"
  885.
  886. Cavri jabs an angry finger toward Broult, voting to lynch him.
  887.
  888. Princess Stephanie says, "I think if I were an assassin, I would be much more stealthy about myself."
  889.
  890. Svetora blinks incredulously at Cavri.
  891.
  892. Broult the Thick-furred says, "My reservation would be that, if she were not, the real detective could debunk the falsehood."
  893.
  894. Dagu sucks thoughtfully on his teeth.
  895.
  896. Dath Darkscar says, "Broult? What?"
  897.
  898. Princess Stephanie asks, "Why would I reveal such a thing and balk on my claim?"
  899.
  900. Dirty Olgei says, "Unless that's what you want us to think."
  901.
  902. Cavri jabs an angry finger toward Tavora, voting to lynch her.
  903.
  904. Dirty Olgei says, "A double bluff."
  905.
  906. Dath Darkscar says, "I havn't the-."
  907.
  908. Alarion the Horseless says, "What are you all even doing now?"
  909.
  910. Svetora One-Eye says, "Why would we want the real detective to reveal him or herself so soon."
  911.
  912. Dath Darkscar says, "...Gods, this is confusing."
  913.
  914. Phehgoshl peers at Cavri unscrupulously.
  915.
  916. Dagu raises an eyebrow at Cavri.
  917.
