- Hello today I will tell you something about the Soviet-Afghan conflict.
- The Soviet-Afghan intervention began in December 1979 and ended in February 1989.
- This war started at the moment when the small soviet special force called "Spetznas" a group of 50 soliders
- started to find their way into the palace while fighting against 2000 people from the national guard of afghanistan.
- The russians started the operation with the reason to help a neighbour country because the leader of this country
- Amin are not the legitimate ruler of this country.
- Hafizullah Amin the afghan president was located in this palace, he was the main target of the Soviet Union.
- Amin, his son and 200 afghan soldiers and 20 Soviet soldiers died. After this the big battle between the Soviet Uninon and the Mushahed began
- Mujahidees are radical islamic terrorist the term of Mujahide stands for a person who is performing the way of a jihad,
- the meaning of jihad is striving the way of God. The Red Army try to circle afghanistan and get controll over the whole
- afghanistan step by step. The rescued districts got help from the Soviet Union they got schools, highways, factorys,a new home and Democracy
- and so on. But a lot of afghanistan people were fighting against the Soviets because they got told from other nations
- especially from the Unitated States of America that the Russians try to convert and destroy their clutere.
- The Afghan Mujahidees receive there supplies from the USA, China, Saudi Arabia and leading Nato countries and they got training
- from the US officers. They also trained the well knowed Osama Bin Laden who blow up both of the World Trade Centers.
- One of the most important thing in this war was the air force.
- The Soviets got a big advantage with the WWS (ввс) (Soviet Air Force). The US government understand this and they started to give
- Mujahidees Stingers. Stingers are rocket launcher with ground-air ammunition it means their are effective against planes, helicopters
- It was a step backwards for the Red Army. The Soviet troops were friendly to the afghanistan civilians. They often trade with cigarettes
- and stuff like that. But this friendliness killed a lot of Soviets for example: a afghan kid said that he know where the Mujahidees hidding. The Soviet
- soldier belive this and they go with this children and this children bring the troops to a minefield and sucide him self and other people.
- The Mujahidees were fighting with dirty tricks like in my example. One of the most used tactic from the Soviet union was the Grenn Carpet.
- In this tactic Soviet solider circel a whole village and give them 24h to go out the civilians leave and the Mujahidees stay there
- after this time they start to bomb it. The last battle of the Soviet Union was the "Battle for Hill 3234" the russians strength
- was 39 soliders against 400 Mujahidees, 18 h the russian fight against the Mujahidees. But only the Soviets came back alive.
- After the end of this Soviet-Afghan intervention the Us government declared the war to afghanistan. They killed a lot of civilians
- and the drug trafficking would be doubled! The Afghan people say that the Us-army are inhuman if you compare their with russians.
