  1. World Map OOB Doors
  2.
  3. It's semi-known that you can trigger the "first flight of the boat" cutscene from land abusing the fact that the pathing blocker is removed when the 'reef' is put onto the world map. What happens is that the game *thinks* you are the boat when you're actually Felix, and sends the Felix sprite to some outlandish coordinate on the world map (this is how the game 'stores' hidden objects -- think manitcore from lamakan desert). But because you never actually entered the boat, you still retain control of Felix (but with boat attributes) and some extremely weird things can happen.
  4.
  5. The one I'm interested in right now is after the screen starts flying you can press (and hold) B to start hovering (like the ship does). With some effort, you can 'break free' of being off screen and have Felix come into vision (hovering, as if he was the boat). You can now fly right and find a massive block of water -- this block of water holds the key to everything at the moment!
  6.
  7. To get into the block of water, once you see the water come into view, fly up and around until you see snow (you're now in the prox map). The top right corner of the prox map has no pathing blocker, so you can enter the prox landscape here. Continue you way around prox (dodging the loading zone for the northern reaches) and keep going left until you hit water. Congratulations, you've made it to the Sea of Strange OOB Doors.
  8.
  9. Scattered across this vast expansive ocean are OOB doors that can take you to strange places. Presently I've come across 4 different places it can send you -- Northern Reaches, Sea of Time, Daila, Yampi Desert (from alhafra side) -- there doesn't appear to be any discernible pattern to these locations which makes me excited at the possibility of more doors being discovered (and maybe there are other seas with similar properties elsewhere OOB on the world map). The video shows how to get to the Daila door, as well as illustrating the existence of a few other doors.
  10.
  11. Since we don't know what doors are out there, there's no telling what the application of this glitch could yield. Maybe there is a credits door? (hah), maybe you can get to Prox early? Who knows. But this is a very exciting development for GS2 glitches!
