The Woven World

All life is made of cords, but for some life, the cords are different.  The superior lifeforms of the Woven World have cores that are surrounded by tightly woven cords, and their bodies are woven as well.  This weaving of the cords makes them stronger, smarter, and more capable of weaving power from nature.  Not all weaving is equal--some people of the loom are stronger, some are smarter, some are more flexible, some are more magical--it all depends on the way they are woven.

BIOLOGY NOTE: The "core" is basically the brain and other important structures such as ovaries/testes--lifeforms on this planet are born as a small core covered in short cords that looks kind of like a pudgy kooshball.  The first cord structure

Most peoples of the Woven World believe their roots can be traced back to the Mother Loom, a gigantic, loom-like structure deep in the bowels of their planet.  It was operated by several gods, each one bringing forth from it a race of new intelligent beings.

Colors: Large amounts of blue and jade (the color of course), some places are reds and yellows and oranges, almost always everything in the same area keeps the same color scheme
maybe the planet could have a shitty atmosphere and get way too much sunlight and the surface is uninhabitable?
lots of fluorescent colors, maybe everything glows?
maybe there are some cloudy areas that block enough sunlight to make the surface slightly inhabitable?
