  12.
  13.
  14.
  15. These release notes is provided to give users and developers information
  16.
  17. on certain differences between N950, including its device software, and
  18.
  19. N9, equally including its device software.
  20.
  21.
  22.
  23. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy and completeness
  24.
  25. of the notes, we cannot guarantee that we have succeeded in our task and
  26.
  27. thus, these release notes are provided "as is" and without any warranty

  30.
  31.
  32.
  33. Further, as N950, including its device software, is not a commercial

  59. Nokia N950 phone hardware specification
  60.
  61. =======================================
  62.
  63.
  64.
  65. Nokia N950 phone uses same hardware components as the Nokia N9 phone
  66.
  67. with the following exceptions:
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71. * N950 is physically larger and is made out of aluminum, whereas N9 has
  72.
  73. a polycarbonate unibody.
  74.
  75. * N950 has a physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The N9 is a touchscreen
  76.
  77. -only device.
  78.
  79. * N950 has a 4” TFT LCD display whereas N9 has 3.9” AMOLED display.
  80.
  81. Display resolution is same on both devices (854x480). Due to the use
  82.
  83. of different display technologies, developers should avoid one pixel
  84.
  85. with fonts and graphical objects with lines one pixel wide. Also avoid
  86.
  87. the extensive use of bright colors, especially white, when developing
  88.
  89. for OLED displays as this increases the power consumption (typical
  90.
  91. for OLED displays).
  92.
  93. * N950 has a different physical camera module than N9. Both camera
  94.
  95. modules have very similar image quality (Carl Zeiss branding in N9)
  96.
  97. and both modules support 8Mpix image mode.
  98.
  99. * In the N950 the front facing camera is in top right corner and on N9
  100.
  101. it is in the bottom right corner. The actual camera module is same.
  102.
  103. * N950 supports Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR, whereas N9 supports
  104.
  105. version 4.0
  106.
  107. * N950 does not have support for NFC
  108.
  109. * N9 has slightly more sensitive magnetometer and ALS
  110.
  111. * N950 has 1320mAh battery, the N9 has 1450mAh battery
  112.
  113.
