  1. >7 pm
  2. >"Free Trip to Equestria"
  3. >It has to be a joke
  4. >A trip to Equestria? Who would believe that?
  5. >But nothing is attached, there's no virus showing up, and the curiosity is killer
  6. >Open the email
  7.
  8. "Congratulations, Anon.
  9.
  10. My employer and I have been observing you for some time. We believe you to be a good candidate for something of a social experiment. Humans are rather unheard of, here, you may know. Nothing is required of you, except that you be punctual with your departure. Should you wish to accept the trip, simply be packed.
  11.
  12. Choose to believe it, or not, but regardless, in 12 hours, I'll find you, ready to proceed. The trip need only go on as long as you want to be here, but I suggest packing for a few days, and packing some food. We aren't 100% sure your apples are the same thing ours are.
  13.
  14. See you in 12!
  15. -Cami"
  16.
  17. >...Ha? This doesn't read like a joke. Packing for 3 days would take 20 minutes if you moved quickly.
  18. >Not a particular waste of time, no catch, so why not?
  19. >Mutter to yourself about taking a short trip anyway when this doesn't pan out
  20. >Get packed, dink around online for a while
  21. >Fall asleep at 4 am
  22. >Something taps you on the shoulder
  23. "Anon, I hope you're packed."
  24. >Blink the sleep from your eyes
  25. >It's a
  26. >What
  27. >A blue pegasus is sitting in your room
  28. >She appears to be about 3 feet tall
  29. "Cami Regitrix, at your service. You did get the e-mail, right? We aren't very good with that yet... Hooves, you know."
  30. >"Uh. Yeah. Yeah, I packed some things. I thought it was a joke though."
  31. "We are fairly serious, for the most part. Grab your things, please. I can't be here much longer."
  32. >"Sure. It's all here."
  33. >Grab the backpack of clothes and stuff you put together, ready at the side of your dresser
  34. >The pegasus nods, and opens her wings wide
  35. >A dark hole appears in your wall, as tall as you are and 4 feet across
  36. "Enjoy your trip."
  37. >She steps through
  38. >The hole shifts a bit, then settles
  39. >With a deep breath and a backpack, you step into Equestria
  40. >First impressions: It's very, very dark.
  41. >"Cami? Where are we? Can you see anything?"
  42. >"...Cami?"
  43. >Fear begins to get a grip on you
  44. >Fumble with the backpack, pull out a flashlight after some digging
  45. >Flick it on
  46. >It's... trees. Trees everywhere.
  47. >Get the feeling this is going to be a longer trip than planned
  48.
  49. >It gets light enough to see without the flashlight an hour later
  50. >Another hour of walking, and you reach a clearing
  51. >Sit under the most normal looking tree you can find and think about what to do now
  52. >Doze after a while
  53. >...
  54. >...
  55. >Feel a tapping on your shoulder
  56. >Shrug it away
  57. >Feel it again
  58. >"Wha... Oh."
  59. >It's a bear.
  60. "roarroar roarROAR ROARROAR roarROAR ROARroarroarroar roar roarROAR roarROARroar"
  61. >"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
  62. "ROARroarroar ROARROARROAR ROARroarROARROAR ROARROARROAR roarroarROAR ROARroar roar roar ROARroarroar roarroarroarroar roar roarROARroarroar roarROARROARroar"
  63. >Scramble for the trees
  64. >Bear sweeps you up and carries you in its arms
  65. >Decide it's best to not struggle around the claws
  66. >Eventually, get dropped off at a den
  67. >The bear wanders away, telling you "roarroarroar ROAR roarROAR ROARroarROARROAR roarroarroarroar roar roarROARroar roar."
  68. >Run off 5 minutes after the bear leaves
  69.
  70. >Okay
  71. >Bears are running around
  72. >Still no sense of direction
  73. >Not the best place to be
  74. >Still, can't just sit around, or the bear will be back on your trail
  75. >Start running in the direction of the sun
  76. >Keep going for a while
  77. >Stop when the stitches building in your side become too much, walk it out
  78. >Have to sit down for a minute eventually
  79. >Realize your backpack is still in the cave
  80. >Fuck it, keep going
  81. >The trees begin to thin
  82. >Come to an opening
  83. >A house? Alright! First good news all day.
  84. >Lights are on and you can hear soft sounds coming from inside
  85. >Knock softly, not wanting to attract undue attention from the forest creatures
  86. >Hear a curse
  87. >Realize right before the door opens that you understood the word
  88. >The zebra stares at you for a minute
  89. “Are you the one my friend bear found, sleeping on the forest ground?”
  90. >”Uh. I guess so.”
  91. >She waves you inside
  92. >The bear is sitting at a table, drinking tea
  93. ”roarROARROAR roarroarroarroar ROARroarROARROAR ROARroarroar roarroar ROARroarroar ROARroarROARROAR ROARROARROAR roarroarROAR roarROARroar roarroarROAR ROARroar roarroarROARROARroarroar”
  94. >The house shakes with the bear’s cries
  95. >”Can you understand him? I ran off because I thought he was a wild bear…”
  96. “A wild bear he may be, but his speech is clear to me.”
  97. >”Oh.”
  98. >Feel really awkward
  99. >Wonder what the bear has been saying
  100. >”Um. I’m looking for a pegasus, I guess. She said her name was Cami?”
