[sub]Stiles Stilinski is the fast-talking, sarcastic, and impossibly clever son of Beacon Hill's own sheriff Stilinski. Much like his best friend Scott McCall, Stiles is somewhat socially awkward, though this stems from his loud, outspoken nature coupled with his ADHD, rather than being 'uncool' or labeled as an 'outcast' like Scott.

Ultimately, it is Stiles' curiosity which changes his and Scott's lives forever when the Stilinski teen convinces his best friend to join him in the woods of Beacon Hills in search of a dead body. It is during this search that Scott is bitten by a werewolf, specifically Peter Hale, an occurrence which sets in motion the duo's involvement with the supernatural.
