  1. Nyquiss started her life studying a delicate art of magic at Shyrr. During those years, she also interacted with many theories regarding the plight of Scyrah, and her heart was burned to find the truth behind them. She cannot accept the raw justifications of the pariah Retributions, as there are no solid proof yet of the correlation between Plight of Gods and Human's Gift. AS she like to say, there is no single proof of causal effect; thus eliminating the human magic user might not reverse the plight of the gods.
  2.
  3. Her thirst for truth finally set her to the path of the exiled, as she decided to leave her family behind and ventured on a self-exiled quest to the human world. There should be some hidden truth, and cooperation with the human might shed some light. She set her journey to the neighbouring human country, and claimed to be a traveling mercenary who found amazements in human mechanika and warjacks. Well, she did not lie there; as most of the Retribution activists claimed that those mechanika and warjacks, along with Human's magic, are the ones that are killing Scyrah. She is interested in finding the truth behind it, and she wanted to know by experiencing it herself.
  4.
  5. During her time as mercenary, she interacted with the Llaelese locals, and slowly built some reputation as a 'Iosan mercenary who loves mechanika'. Using her reputation, she moved towards a bigger city of Merywyn, where there lies one of Human Arcanists bastion: Fraternal Order of Wizardry. This organization is a home of many arcanists as well as mechanika constructors, even they are capable of making complex Cortex of Warjacks.
  6.
  7. She spent few years to approach the Order to obtain as many information as possible; related or not related to her cause, since answers might be found at hidden and unseen places. She earned some trusts to several mechanika workshop and libraries, and she spent her idle time from being mercenary at such places.
  8.
  9. As for being mercenary, she used it to see practical uses of Human's technology and Mechanika, as well as how Humans behave generally. She also met several humans who speak other language; it seems that there are many types of Human Language. Not only language, each human tend to have different 'custom', and each individual is unique. Of course, the monetary rewards from being mercenary are sufficient to support her simple life, but the first-hand experience in interacting with Human (or in observing them) is considered highly valuable that she never quits being active in mercenary charter.
  10.
  11. All information that she managed to collect is meticulously recorded and shared to any like-minded Iosan, but she always emphasises her point: there are not enough data to conclude anything yet. She was on the verge of gaining a deeper access to the Order, when there were news of attacks from another Country. Her mercenary charter called her, and she was dragged to the war.
  12.
  13. Unfortunately, the war also eliminated her chance to enter deeper circle of the Order. On a fateful night, the whole Order vanished, but she is sure she felt un-explainable tremendous-yet-brutal arcane flows during that night. That was only the beginning of the siege of the Merywyn, and she was active in the mercenary activities.
  14.
  15. However, valiant and honorable army means nothing in front of utterly powerful and efficient army. The Llael nation fell, and the Khador army annexed the territories to their motherland. Nyquiss is dragged further, as now she can observe firsthand how the magic is wielded by human in real war, and decided to help the Resistance for further several years. She spent many time doing reparations and maintenance of equipments, and sometimes helped the army to withstand assaults.
  16.
  17. After several years, she decided to move on to another place, as now the Resistance no longer see massive wars; she spent too much time only on maintenance of weapons and armors, and she could not spare more years without gaining further informations.
