  1. This document was written collaboratively by both Punisher and Glass Sandwich.
  2.
  3. All the hard work has been set in place, and this Tournament has now been set into motion. This officially begins the duration of following the Tournament Rules, wether inside the game or out. All teams are now on their own, Punisher and Glass will cease to micromanage player by player, only the Team Captains. Your behavior will now matter and affect how long you are to stay in the Tournament, as well as surviving the matches. See the Player Conduct and Residing Admins rules to understand this better, if you do not.
  4.
  5. We'll begin with a 1 month grace period to allow all of you to practice and brush up on teamwork technique. Time to catch tourny fever :) All the due dates for each game are now up and can be found here: http://mavwar.com/matches/
  6.
  7. Additionally, starting today the 2 weeks refund deadline goes into affect. Your official refund deadline is July 15, 2015. After this date, you will not receive a refund under any circumstance and only 1 team will get the $400 prize money.
  8. Below we have put together a list of critical points you all need to be aware of and warned about. Please take these very seriously. Additionally we have included a few tips and info we think will benefit the teams.
  9.
  10. 1. The Rules
  11. The Admins hold no sympathy for broken rules. Our rules are in place and they are set in stone. No amount of whining or crying will get us to compromise our positions and move the rules aside. Every single one of you has the option to opt out of the Tournament before the date of July 15, 2015 and if you feel this way then we highly recommend that you do. If your head is not in the game with your fellow teammates, there will be a rough road ahead for you.
  12.
  13. 2. Responsibility and Liability
  14. You are responsible for keeping your behavior in check and ensuring you stay in the tournament, which means you are responsible for being aware of all of the tournament rules and what they entail. Letting anger or other feelings get in the way of your judgment and taking them out on other Players or the Admins can lead to your swift exit of the tournament.
  15.
  16. 3. Team Disputes
  17. You have until July 6, 2015 to dispute the current teams, with reason(s), with the Admin's consideration. If the admins agree with your dispute, we will make the necessary changes and inform the affected team(s). If we disagree with your dispute, you have the option to opt out. If you do not dispute teams by July 6, 2015, there will be no room for complaints. Anyone complaining about teams to admins after July 6, 2015 will potentially be kicked out of the tournament and replaced before the first game due date for the affected team. If you complain about your team after the first official tournament game, you will be kicked out of the tournament and you will not be replaced.

  20.
  21.
  22. 4. Admins
  23. Only an issue that is related to you personally such as your entry fee, prize money, Player Conduct rule, refund, etc., may be brought up to the Admins. If an issue is related to the entire team, Admins will only deal with the team captains. Please don't contact the Admins if you are not a Team Captain unless your issue is personal.
  24.
  25. 5. Back-up Player Abuse
  26. The entire participation of a backup player in a tourny game relies on admin approval. Any misuse with Back-up Players such as using them for their strengths over Paid-in Players, calling them in when not necessary, etc. will NOT be tolerated and will cost the team a forfeit. All players will be on the Admins' friends lists, either 1 or both of them; and will be contacted and confirmed that they cannot play and even further investigation will go on if that Back-up player is used excessively. Backup players have no rights in this tournament and their entire participation in an official game lies with the approval of the admins.
  27.
  28. 6. The Spirit of This Tournament
  29. This tournament is different than most tournaments that go on all the time. This tourny is about bringing friends together, making new friends and keep the game alive because we know every single one of you has a special place in their heart for this amazing and unique game.
  30. You are all quality people and good friends. Some of you are new friends and have been welcomed with open arms. This tournament was designed in such a way as to create excitement, intensity and a feeling of being part of something positive. Try to actually have fun, dare we say.
  31.
  32. TIPS
  33.
  34. 1. This is one of the more encouraged tips that we hope teams take seriously. It is strongly advised that teams don't practice against another tournament team. Teams are free to practice however and with whomever they want, but as a tip, we strongly recommend you dont practice against other tourny teams. Giving strengths or weaknesses away to another tournament team might have regretful consequences for your team.
  35.
  36. 2. For the most part, try to stay away from the admins and other tourny staff if you are distraught and not clear headed enough to speak of an issue. What you say and how you behave could have severe consequences for you in this tournament so try not to raise an issue unless you gave it some time and thought it through.
  37.
  38. 3. Keep the gossiping to a minimum. There is always going to be gossip and drama with any event like this but thats also how we will know who the real competitors are and who the drama queens are. Think about your own reputation first.
  39.
  40. 4. Try not to have a "I must win at any cost" mentality. Have fun with your teammates, give positive reinforcement to them, and dont let winning get the best of you. Out of 8 teams, only 1 team will win this tournament and if you lose track of whats more important than winning you only suck the fun out of it not only for yourself but everyone else on your team. No amount of complaining, whining and obsessing over winning will change the fact that only 1 team will win... so do try to enjoy your experience.
  41.
  42.
  43. Here are some friends of the tourny that have volunteered to help teams practice. Practice with these people are your own risk; this means that these players are outsiders of the Tournament. They may or may not be friends with an opposing team.
