Public Service Announcement:

To effectively filter out the cancer namefagging and shitposting from the general, follow these steps:

1. Install the '4chanx' addon on your browser (works on a bunch of them). There are many forks of the project, with subtle differences. This is one of them, but you may look for others if you prefer.

2. Reload 4chan. Go to the top right corner of the screen, click the Tools (Settings) Icon.
3. On the Main tab, scroll down to filtering, and set these options (it's an example, you can set your own according to taste)

Example:

Anonymize ON (if you want to identify namefags to filter them easier though, leave this OFF)
Filter ON
Filtered Backlinks OFF (if you want to see when a namefag or filtered post replies to other posts, leave this ON)
Recursive Hiding ON
Thread Hiding Buttons ON
Reply Hiding Buttons ON
Stubs OFF (if you want to see stubs for each filtered post, leave this ON - not recommended)

4. Once this is done, go to your Filter tab (should be the second tab at the top of the window).
5. Here, you can filter out basically any form of posts. Common ones include post content (which is referred to as "Comments"). These are some examples. The format with the /i's indicates that it detects any combination of lowercase of uppercase of these. You can use other reg expressions to filter attempts to evade the filter easily though.

/reddit/i

/hoesof/i

6. You can also filter out namefags by going to the Name dropdown. These are some examples of common namefag shitposters.

Example:

/Fleur/
/Hoesof/
/Snake/
/Meowers/
/Multi/

7. You can filter out tripfags in much the same way as above.
8. You can also get creative by filtering out filenames of popular shitposts or even their MD5's.
9. Once done, click outside the window, reload the page, and voila!
