  1. Iago’s cold-heartedness is able to bring death to the ones who trusted him the most. Roderigo, one of Desdemona’s suitors, asks Iago to get Desdemona to fall in love with him but in the end he gets killed because the status quo has changed once Cassio is injured. Roderigo asks for help and Cassio says that he one of the murderers so Iago goes over and says “O murderous slave! O villain!” then stabs Roderigo. This explains one way Iago shows that he is cold-hearted because Roderigo has served his purpose in his plan and now he is to be disposed of since Roderigo knew about the plan from the start.
