You decide that it'd make the most sense to ask the nurse if she had seen Gabby while you had been in gym class, as it was doubtful that the familiar friend had left her there or would have been unable to move the ultra lightweight. Stepping back into the nurse's office you catch her by surprise again, despite having only just walked out of the door. Stepping up to her desk you ask if she has seen a dormouse named Gabby or a familiar there, and if they had been together. The weresheep giggles at you, seeming to be amused by the apparent worry she is seeing in your question.
"Yes, I did see them in here. After the mouse, Gabby was it? Well, after she woke up they started having a serious conversation before I sent them out just a bit before the lunch bell went off." She answers.
"Do you have a clue where they went?" You ask, the nurse wracking her brain for any information she had from what she could eavesdrop.
"I'm sorry, I didn't hear anything useful. If you couldn't find them on the first floor you could check in the recreation center. It's hidden a bit by trees on the west side of the building, so most new students miss it unless they are assigned a locker near there." She informs you.
You thank her for the extra clue, and head out of the office at a brisk walking pace to head for the nearest exit. Getting outside and rounding a corner, you almost miss it but spot the doorway nearly hidden in the rose bushes and vines that grew up the walls of the unconnected addition to the school. You step up the short set of stairs and open the door into the building, to look down the short hallway with two doors on the right leading to the same noisy room where the sounds of various table games came from. Three things stand out to you right away though, the first is the familiar familiar standing at the far end by the other set of doors with a cocky grin.
The second is a long haired tanuki girl wearing a sweater and jeans leaning against a locker with an oni standing beside her, thumbing through a stack of small bills. Their glances and grins are suspicious. Third suspicious thing is in the doorway, a white haired wolf girl with red markings waving you secretly towards her where the two grinning menaces can't see.

>Getting the chance to see her room, you find posters for metal bands on the walls, and a bookcase with video games and dvds on it for her personal console
>You leave the room and get told that they'll have dinner when the father gets home, in thirty minutes
>Your phone starts vibrating after, when you check you see your mother is rapid texting you with oddly mispelled titles like usual

>You ask about Gabby's father to see if you can impress him
>Gabby's mother begins to yammer about him, going over how they met and what sort of things he likes
>He's in construction, but loves his kids above all else
>Not quite as protective as your mother is of you
>Big into sports, favorite of which is mixed martial arts
>As the dinner is getting plated you hear the door, father calls that he's home
>Gabby's mom runs out in apron, you follow to see her running into a rugged man before falling asleep right away
>He sees you and you have to introduce yourself since the mother is out like a light
>Shakes your hand and nearly crushes it, smiling and happy
>Thanks you for getting his daughter into something nicer to wear
>He wakes up Gabby's mother with the tail trick you've learned, she heads off to fetch Gabby for dinner
>You sit down at the table in a spare chair from a storage room to the side while the father picks up and carries the two other daughters to their seats

>She's smiling again, seems happy to see you getting along with the family

>Once she does she starts talking with a big grin on her face
>"Still don't hold back on girls, huh? You bully!" She sticks her tongue out at you

>How you saw her as a cat first and pulled the extra tail
>Pelted her with water balloons everyday that summer until she got used to water
>Even has pictures in her phone of later when you two became friends, which she happily shows off to Gabby
>Even your tenth birthday party, when she slept over
>You can sense the mouse getting a bit jealous, though she's hiding it well

>You check the text, your mom is making sure you get back home before dinner very sternly

>Look back from phone to see Sally has taken the chance to pounce Gabby, is nibbling at her ear while holding her in her lap

>"Well of course, it's a full moon tonight!" Sally informs you

>Light it up and close the curtain before you hurry back to your shelter, stopping half way there when you hear something
>There is someone crawling through the vents
>Hurry to the shelter and lock it up tight before they can find an exit, head back down and check the cameras
>Sally abandoned the roof and is searching around the outside of the house for another way in while calling out something
>Gabby is nowhere to be seen

>She seems excited about staying over to see them with you now
>Get to her house after a long walk and talk, she's half asleep when you get there
>Her father jokingly asks if you got lucky, gets some cute batting on the head from Sally once she gets in the door
>They're not questioning her going out last night
>Just seem rather happy
>She comes back to the door after a moment, and looks up at you with a smile
