  1. A 23 year old from Ranger's Reflection, Elliot Savage had a passion from a young age for becoming a trainer, inspired by his grandfather's stories of the golden age of battling. Making a career out of Pokemon battling, however, was another story, and so he decided to enroll into the LC Ranger Academy where his... enthusiasm would prove to give him a reputation of being overbearing during training (and to a point of somewhat neglecting his other studies).
  2.
  3. A bit of a gambler at heart, his creed was to go big or go home, setting himself up for either great wins or catastrophic failures. This didn't exactly serve him well in the academy, but before his grades got the better of him, he was noticed by League talent scouts and quietly resigned from academy to accept the sign-on.
  4.
  5. His attitude can described as friendly, but intense. He doesn't accept any less than the best effort from himself, his Pokemon, or his peers... at least on the field of battle. Off the ring, in periods of downtime, he's much more laid back napping, reading, flirting, or planning his next training regimen.

  7. People of Note:
  8.
  9. Granddad: His grandfather, a man named ______ (can be either maternal or paternal) took Elliot in after the boy lost his father to a failed liver (twelve years ago) and his mother to cardiovascular disease (Six years ago). Granddad was Sea Division in his youth, serving his country proudly, and wasn't a bad battler besides, and even when Elliot was young would often regale the boy with amusing anecdotes or exciting stories. It was his grandfather's influence that nudged him towards being such a health nut, but Elliot took it further than the old man anticipated, likely due to the loss of his parents. Elliot still feels some small guilt over not following in his footsteps.
  10.
  11. The Counselor: ______ served as a guidance counselor at the Ranger Academy during Elliot's first year. Elliot's education problems led him to visiting more than once for advice and encouragement, and their insight kept him above failing marks for a time. Elliot looked up to them with quite a bit of respect, but they resigned before the second year under unclear circumstances, falling out of touch with Elliot. (I'm not sure how long the period of training at the academy is actually)
  12.
  13. The Friend: Throughout his youth, Elliot was best friends with this youth (male or female). An outgoing and active person with an interest in martial combat who trained just as hard as our own reckless young hero, but with more of an emphasis on themselves as they didn't own a Pokemon. As they grew older, they slowly began to drift apart from Elliot as domestic disputes tore at their household. Eventually moved away, their path diverging from his. Whereas Elliot went to join the Rangers... wherever this friend of his went, a youth with a similar appearance was spotted in one of the local violent gangs...
