> monroe was originally born in san francisco, california. she lived there up until she was twelve, when she moved to seoul south korea. while living california, she was taught both english and korean. her parents and planned to move to seoul since she was around five, but wanted to wait until her sister was born. her sister was born later in the year 1999, but they didn't move until 2006. her sister was around nine, and monroe had turned twelve about 4 months before. growing up monroe had a strong interest in performing, especially in singing. so during her first year in korea she took regular school classes along with those to help improve her skills. then when she was thirteen and a half, she auditioned for sm. they had told her she had good potential and to come back next year. well, the same exact thing happened to her the next year when she was fourteen. monroe then worked harder to improve for the next two years until finally auditioning again when she was sixteen. that last third time is what it took for sm to except her.

> the members has surprisingly let her go out to the store by herself, when they ran out of kimchi. since it was her favorite, she had to practically beg for them to let her go to the store for more since it was nearly midnight. once at the store she got her kimchi and a few snacks for the others. she was walking backward while trying to see if anything else caught her eye until she bumped into the back of the tall boy named sehun. she wasn't angry or anything, he at first was annoyed until seeing the short girl. they had talked all the way to the cashier, mainly her talking, and then swapped numbers (after she had to convince him)

>at first he was rather shy, he didn't really know how to talk to her. when he did, though, he noticed how well they could hold a conversation together. although, a lot of the time he just likes to listen to her talk. he still has his moments where he feels uncomfortable around her, but he usually enjoys his time with her.
