Gaffergesetz - die Wahrheit (Englisch)

In Germany, it was made illegal to photograph or film crash sites.

It is called "Gaffergesetz" ("gawker law"). The official reason is "to protect the personality rights of the oh-so-poor crash victims", and emotionally charged propaganda was made to support this shitlaw such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRmuaVPiodI (has English subtitles).

But you and me know that the victim is utterly irrelevant in the eyes of politicians. As irrelevant as a circumcisionraped boy.

Likely real reason: Officials working at crash sites do not want to be held accountable. They want to watch us, but they don't want to be watched and recorded <i>by</i> us. While it is reasonable not to physically interfere with rescue workers, this ban also covers filming from a safe distance.

Other countries might have introduced similar laws but I am not aware of it yet.
