- That New Car Smell Edition
- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- Nintendo Puzzle Collection PDP is starting to get really annoying. This week alone, I had Easy mode runs that were 0.1 second short, 0.2 second short, and another that was 1 second ahead going into a final stage I can save 5 seconds on. I am still determined, however, so the quest will continue this week.
- I am hard at work preparing for the Pokemon Puzzle Challenge speedrun tournament next month. The stream layout is coming along quite nicely. There are still three weeks to register for the tournament. We have 9 players so far. I’m still looking for volunteers to help run the tournament! Please apply if you are interested and will be available. https://puzzlegeneral.challonge.com/PPC2019Groups
- In other gaming news, I’m finding myself not playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links… like, at all. The game that’s caught my attention lately is a different Yu-Gi-Oh! game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival for the 3DS. It’s a weird one as far as the series is concerned. The central story is short—it only takes 12 duels for each character to win the World Duel Carnival and clear the story. At least there are plenty of characters to play as and they all offer their own perspectives. There’s also no card acquisition to be done—each character has their own inventory of cards associated with them from the anime, allowing you to build basically whatever character-style deck you prefer. There is also a self-insert story you have to clear 41 duels to beat, but it lets you use every card in the game. I think I like it because of the whole skipping of the card acquisition bit. I can understand why other fans might hate it, though.
- In real life news, I’ve been dealing with so many extra expenditures lately. This week, I had to finally replace the family vehicle. My old ’97 Chevy S10 had one too many parts fail on it. In fact, I was already looking for a replacement and still laid $600 on replacing the brake booster. Fortunately, I now have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. It drives so much better than the S10 ever did. There were three other people who came to the lot asking about it as I was completing the purchase so I must have made a good decision. It may be something I end up driving myself. I haven’t decided yet.
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
