  1. Ophelia enters Julianna's room, ready to start off the next rotation. She takes the sleepless angel to the washroom and cleans her up, making some small talk while doing so.
  2. "You know, it's pretty rare for angels to have beauty marks on them."
  3. She comments as she gently brushes her foster child's cheek.
  4. "We typically see that as a sign of good fortune. I'm not really sure why, though.."
  5. The parental angel ponders for a bit.
  6. "I guess we angels just like attributing dark things as good."
  7. They finish up, eat their breakfast, and head off to the Archives once more, with the book in hand. As they enter, Janeth is there waiting for them, expecting their arrival.
  8.
  9. The two approach her.
  10. "Hey nerd."
  11. The bespectacled angel flinches once again from the brazen greeting.
  12. "Stop calling me that!"
  13. She chides Ophelia as she chuckles at her expense. Julianna waves hello.
  14. "Hello again, Julianna.", she waves back.
  15.
  16. "Ready to begin?", the yellow angel immediately cuts to the chase.
  17. "Yeah, let's go."
  18. Janeth takes the newborn to a study room as Ophelia peruses the aisles to laugh at book titles again. They resume with their tutoring, with clear progress being made. The green angel decides to give her student a quick test.
  19. "Let's start with a simple greetings."
  20.
  21. She clears her throat.
  22. "Hello, Julianna."
  23. The little angel begins to speak, albeit softly.
  24. "He.. hello.."
  25. Janeth smiles, proud of her work and efforts. She pats her studious angel a good job, and they continue on with training for a few more hours.
  26.
  27. Ophelia soon comes by, bringing in snacks. They enjoy a short break as the two elder angels relay on Julianna's development.
  28. "She's progressing faster than I've initially anticipated.. she might actually be able to communicate with us properly in no time at all."
  29. "Wow, that's stellar news!"
  30.
  31. "You probably noticed it, right? That she's an overcooked angel."
  32. "Ah, yeah. I figured she was one judging from the place I found her; the lake near Dome-088."
  33. "That figures, that dome has been out of commission for decades."
  34.
  35. The two look at the little angel with worried eyes.
  36. "Let's hope she won't turn into one of them."
  37. "Yeah, I've become quite fond of her."
  38. They express their uneasiness while the newborn idly watches the outdoors. The three finish off their snacks, and the yellow angel pats Julianna good luck as she exits the room.
  39.
  40. Janeth and Julianna return to where they left off. Eventually, the little angel is at the point where she can effectively understand most of the words her tutor says. She gives her another test.
  41. "Alright, let's do a little Question and Answering."
  42.
  43. "What is your name?"
  44. "... My name is.. Juli.. anna..", the newborn quietly answers.
  45. "Very good."
  46.
  47. "How about my name?"
  48. "Your name.. is.. Janeth.."
  49.
  50. "That's correct."
  51. The knowledgable angel smiles with pride and triumph.
  52. "How about the name of your caretaker?"
  53. "Oph.. Ophelia.."
  54.
  55. Peering from the viewing window, the aforementioned caretaker overhears. Wearing a wide smile just like Janeth.
  56. "That's my girl.."
  57. "I should treat Janeth some drinks as thanks later~"
  58.
  59. Inside, the two continue on with their Q&A session, letting Julianna get used to speaking. The curious angel is very eager to learn more, and begins asking her own questions.
  60. "Um.. what is.. an angel..?"
  61. "Mmh? The roles are reversed now I see."
  62. Janeth thinks of an easy to understand answer.
  63. "Well, for simplicity's sake, /we/ are angels. It's a species of sort, different from the mortals below."
  64. "Mortals.. what's that..?"
  65.
  66. "Mortals are basically creatures that have a limited lifespan. Angels and mortals aren't that different from each other, the one thing that separates us from them is our inability to die."
  67. "Die..?", the young angel tilts her head.
  68.
  69. This is the start of Julianna's endless inquisitiveness. She wants to learn more; about herself, and the universe around her.
  70. "You are a curious one, I appreciate that in a person."
  71. Janeth pats her head one more time.
  72. "Well, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have."
  73. ".. a-aunty Janeth has your back..", she blushes.
  74.
  75. They end their session in success. The two exit the room, Ophelia comes lunging at the green angel for a big bear hug.
  76. "Hrk?!"
  77. Janeth is taken by surprise, she loses her balance and falls down with yellow angel's weight on top of her.
  78. "Aaah, Janeth! I knew I could count on you! You're a big help! Thank you!"
  79.
  80. "Um.. what are you doing..?"
  81. Julianna timidly asks, Ophelia's eyes widen.
  82. "I'm giving her a hug! It's a gesture you do as a form of showing gratitude towards someone.", she explains.
  83. The recipient mumbles underneath her.
  84. "Can you get off me now.."
  85.
  86. The novice angel takes that information to heart and proceeds to hug both of them, as thanks for taking good care of her.
  87. "Warm.. hug.."
  88. Ophelia reciprocates. Janeth meanwhile has no power in this situation and lets herself be hugged.
  89. "I appreciate the hug, but please I can't breathe.."
  90.
  91. The group hug lasts for a while until they finally separate. Ophelia stands up, allowing Janeth to inhale. She picks up her glasses and stands up as well, wiping the dust off her.
  92. "Thanks again, Janeth. Seriously. I couldn't have done this alone."
  93. "No problem. I had a lot of fun, to be honest. Julianna's a very fast learner."
  94. The bespectacled angel looks at her student with pride.
  95. "She still needs to be more accustomed to speaking in order to fully communicate with us, so I suggest taking her outside and letting her interact with others."
  96. "That's fair, she does need some on-the-spot experience."
  97.
  98. They return the book they used back to its proper shelf. The green angel prepares to head her own way.
  99. "Good luck, if you ever need me I'm always available in here or at the Observatory."
  100. "You're not.. going with us..?", Julianna asks in a saddened tone.
  101. Janeth is taken aback.
  102. "E-eh? Uhm.."
  103. "Yeah, come with us! I rarely see you hang around in town! You're always either in the Archives, doing your Observatory duties, or at the pub.", Ophelia interjects.
  104. "But--"
  105.
  106. Before she could make up her excuse, the yellow angel grabs her arm and the three of them head outside.
