How important is it to know the names of flowers?

Knowing the names of flowers is not that important, but it is good to know if they are poisonous or not. Even if you don't really spend time with plants and stuff right now, the knowledge might come handy in the future, with children and everything.

The meaning of plants is different in nowadays life. Long time ago, people studied the names of flowers in schools like there was nothing else to learn. But now, since the global warming and other natures disasters, it is more important to just know that there are animals and plants and that they are very important to the life on earth. We are more focused on saving the dying earth. Our point of view has changed, from where it was a obvious thing to have flowers on the grounds and different kind of plants everywhere, to the slow progress of the natural disasters and people not caring about their nature that will lead us to destruction.

Knowing the names of flowers is not very important, but the knowledge of our natures condition and how to save it is something we should learn and teach forward.
