  3. Kim Pallister: https://twitter.com/kimpall Appears to be in charge of "games forcasting" at Intel. Simon Carless follows him on Twitter, and his personal website lists Gamasutra as one of the "places he goes". Investigate.

  23. Who is Nick Alexander?
  24. He's listed as Chairman from Jan 1995 to May 1998 in the EDGE staff list.
  25. However it is not her (Leigh's) father, who is alledgedly named Micheal J. Alexander. Description fits too since he was heavily involved in publishing.
  26. Haven't found a fitting Nick Alexander on linkedin yet.

  35. Background
  36. Mr. Nick Alexander served as Chief Executive of Pearson New Entertainment. Mr. Alexander served as Chief Executive Officer of SEGA Europe and Managing Director of Virgin Games and Virgin Mastertronic. He worked at British Rail and EMI. He is a genuine pioneer of the games industry having set up Virgin Games in 1983 and Sega Europe in 1991 as the industry transformed from a hobbyist interest to a flourishing mainstream media channel. In 1994, he joined Pearson Group where he acquired, ran, and later sold Future Publishing, making Pearson £100m profit in the process. He joined Virgin in 1983 and started its videogame company which he ran until 1991 when the business was divided and the major part sold to Sega. Mr. Alexander has 25 years experience in senior management and is responsible for managing some of the world's most successful entertainment companies. He served as Non Executive Director of Eckoh Plc (formerly, Eckoh Technologies PLC) from February 1998 to September 24, 2003. Mr. Alexander attended Oxford University.
  37.
  38. Nick is such a large figure, he was an executive editor at EDGE magazine with no mention- his involvement may be hidden in many places (Very rich he owns 20 acres of farmland right outside of the collge he attended Oxford University)
  39.
  40. Nick Alexander looks like he has connections to Richard Branson the founder of the Virgin group who own over 400 companys. Richard has a networth of 4.9 billion USD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Branson ; and Future Publishing was sold back to Chris Anderson
  41.
  42. EDGE Magazine is where Leigh Alexander and her boss (Simon Carless) came from before working at Gamasutra. EDGE Magazine is owned by Future Publishing (check the bottom of edge-online.com ), founded by TED Curator Chris Anderson in 1985, and the company also owns PC Gamer, the Official Xbox Magazine, and GamesRadar ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_plc ). A Chris Anderson is also listed as Managing Director of EDGE in 1995 (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rPz0roF9L0Yy2UlIEAFYLwA9lGH-cHGc3-PLRCJFNAQ/edit#gid=0 ) Future Publishing is linked to many other notable figues in the game journo industry, and appears to be the "biggest company you've never heard of" in this regard.
  43.
  44. It's also important to note that this Agency for Games thing Leigh runs also involves Ste (aka Stephen) Curran, another veteran from EDGE. It seems he didn't return after the walkout too.
  45.
  46. Another noteworthy one is of course, Keith Stuart. He's Games Editor for the Guardian nowadays and I think everyone knows how they covered GG.
  47.
  48. According to "publisherfag" a anon active in a few GG threads on 4chan and 8chan /v/, "welovegamedevs" was a diversion hashtag created by a San Fran PR firm, that also inspired the "Gamers are dead" articles: https://archive.today/l4XID
  49. Guess who restarted the hash
  50. Keith Stuart: https://archive.today/gVwEG
  51. Coordinated with people like TopKek and the Ian Miles Cheong too.
  52. Also a bonus: https://archive.today/9DXXd Maya Felix Kramer
  53. Alledgedly a bunch of firms using the hash suffered from DDoS attacks:

  57. https://archive.today/qKGCU
  58.
  59. And guess who did a interview about the hashtag? Yeah. Keith Stuart.
  60. https://archive.today/jV6gw
  61.
  62. He was also the one who most likely removed the disclosure under the Sept 1 Jenn Frank article that would later lead to accusations against her and cause her meltdown.
  63. Afterwards they milked it by saying "Gamergate harassed Frank out of the industry". Maybe a setup? Creating a martyr? Here's the article by Stuart milking it:

  76.
  77. (reason for the edge walkout of 2003)
  78. "From memory, the reason was that there was a Red Eye column which accused Rockstar of using magazines aimed at children and young teenagers to promote their 18-rated GTA games. Future Publishing got upset as many of these magazines were owned by them, the Edge staffers stood by what they had written and quit in defiance rather than post an apology/retract the comments."
  79.
  80. Edge and Future Publishing has links to Riot Games, through Jason Killingsworth, RPS, through Mathew Kumar, who is also an indie game dev and has worked at numerous different places, Gawker, as Future own the UK version of Gizmodo, Wikia, through Simon Cox, The Creative Assembly and THQ through Jon Rooke, EA, Atari, and Vivendi through Nicolas D Costanzo. Leigh Alexander appears to have a long-standing relationship with Chris Plante (gave him recommendation), GJP member and co-founder of Polygon, currently at The Verge.
