  1. "Oh come on, Aaron, it's my dream, isn't it?" Saria complained as the Dream Wizard led her through whilst covering her eyes. Since he had mastered his Dream Walker ability, he had gained the ability to create his own dream worlds, for himself and for others. It was this moment that Aaron decided to create something for his lover, on the eve of her birthday.
  2.
  3. "It's a dream I made for you. You'll see what I mean." They kept walking, until they stopped by what seemed to be a glass pond. Aaron lifted his hands from her eyes then, taking a step back. "Happy Birthday, Saria."
  4.
  5. What the swordswoman saw before her made her eyes widen. Before her was a forest of intricate designs, with many reds, purples, and blues. The trees had red and purple glass leaves that, when broken off, left a trail of sparkles in their midst. Many glowing lights went from here to there, like fireflies in the night. The pond before them was indeed glass, many streamers that read 'Happy Birthday!' suspended above it. In the dark sky, many fireworks went out, some of them spelling out the same words.
  6.
  7. "Aaron..." she whispered over her stupor. "You...you made all this...for me?"
  8.
  9. Aaron nodded, a bit sheepish. "Well, I designed it beforehand. This only came to mind when we went to sleep. I had a bit of help from some of our friends."
  10.
  11. "It's beautiful. Thank you so much!"
  12.
  13. "I'm glad you like it." He smiled for a brief moment, before seeming embarrassed again. "There's...one more thing to add to this, though..."
  14.
  15. Saria turned to him, blinking. "What is it?" Was it another stuffed animal? Another item to spruce up their sex life?
  16.
  17. Aaron took several deep breaths, trying to find the confidence in what he was about to do. What he did next was the last thing Saria ever expected him to do. He got down on one knee, making her widen her eyes even more. Was he really...?
  18.
  19. "Saria...love of my life..." he began, doing all he could to hold back any stuttering. "There's never been a woman that I've met that was more unique than you. We've had our bumps in the road in our relationship, but we've surpassed them and became stronger as a result. And now, I've made a decision to spend the rest of my life with you..."
  20.
  21. He looked out to the horizon then, where the fireworks were still going. When she looked out, the next set would spell out a new set of words for her.
  22.
  23. 'WOULD YOU MARRY ME SARIA'
  24.
  25. She just couldn't take it. In her own dream, the swordswoman fainted on the spot.
  26.
  27. ~*~*~
  28.
  29. Saria groaned as she slowly awoke in her room. For a moment, she didn't acknowledge the dream she shared with Aaron, seeming to forget about it like most people did with their dreams. However, when she got her bearings, it finally came back to her. The world he built for her as a birthday present, the fireworks, and then...his proposal...did he really just...?
  30.
  31. Right then, she felt a shifting beside her. Aaron had been sleeping next to her when he used his Dream Walker on her, and now he was beginning to wake up. As he did, he seemed to be fishing through his pockets, while his dark brown eyes looked up to her.
  32.
  33. "Was that too much?"
  34.
  35. She couldn't find the words to say. He really did do all of that. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, as husband and wife. After all those years together, he was finally taking the plunge.
  36.
  37. "Aaron...I...I don't know what to say..."
  38.
  39. "Say 'yes', please." It was right then that he brandished a diamond ring from his pocket, holding it out to her as he looked pleadingly at her. He was really serious about this. The thought of it all brought tears to Saria's eyes...before she allowed a smile to cross her lips. She just couldn't say no to that look.
  40.
  41. "Okay...I mean, yes, I will."
  42.
  43. Those words had done it. The Dream Wizard leapt right off the bed, jumping in victory. "YES! SHE SAID YES! WHOOO!"
  44.
  45. Saria just had to giggle at the display, getting up from the bed herself. She put a hand on his shoulder to stop his jumping around. "Alright, no need to get so excited over that."
  46.
  47. Aaron stopped immediately, sheepishly scratching the side of his face. "Sorry, sorry. I just...I'm so happy right now..."
  48.
  49. She smiled wider, the tears in her eyes beginning to fall. "Me too..."
  50.
  51. With that, Aaron took her hand and slowly slid the engagement ring onto her finger. She looked at it for a moment in admiration, even if she wasn't that big into girly things, except around her soon-to-be husband. Unable to contain herself, she threw her arms around him, almost throwing him off-balance. Thankfully, Aaron caught her before he would be thrown over, holding her close in a tight embrace.
  52.
  53. "Happy Birthday, Saria..." he whispered in her ear.
  54.
  55. "Thank you, Aaron...for everything..."
