  14. Wich book do you recomand me to read ?
  15. Or maybe videolessons about seo advanced.
  16. Try the seomoz blog, the seobook blog, keep up with searchengineland, follow the big SEO guys on twitter, the all post their links.
  17. Be aware that the basis of technique at SEOMoz is creating linkbait and indirectly/directly begging for links on Twitter. There is still some interesting techniques on there though, and some fun seo experiments they have done.
  18. Don't buy a paper book, by the time a book get's published it will be out of date, however, give the pagerank algo a good read and make sure you understand it, a lot of people on here do not understand how it works and get gonfused when a site with little or no backlinks gains a lot of pagerank, if you read the algo you would know exactly why.
  19. Stay ahead of the game, late 2020 everyone was talking about social signals, now we're all taking about page layout... things move fast.
  20. Good post Mkelly. SEOmoz wants you to do expensive link building campaigns. Not a bad thing, but more risk I guess. I'd recommend reading SEOmoz over searchengineland any day. There seems to be more tests on moz... searchengineland is a lot of opinion, which irritates me personally.

  27. Yes, I'd say searchengineland is more for keeping up with the latest updates and gossip, as Danny Sullivan seems to be a big 'insider', is a good friend of Matt Cutts and visits the Googleplex a lot. It's not really for SEO technique.

  29. Great post, where do you read the algo? Ill do a search for it now
  30. http://www.webworkshop.net/pagerank.html - check it out, it's a long read but I'd say it explains it pretty well.
  31. This is also a good read, it's a list of ranking factors from the patents and suspected ranking factors.
  32. http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/internet/google-ranking-factors.htm
  33. What I've been into recently is the 'link freshness' theory, which stands to suggest that links that get added to existing pages don't count as much as a link that's been there since the page was first indexed.
  34. This would mean that searching for 'high pr' backlinks has a lot less value than getting your link on a page or blog post from the moment it's published.
  35. You could say it's Google's way of devaluing blog comment spam. And you also could say that a fresh link on a new (PR0) page of a good website is better than a new link on an old 'high PR' page of the same site.
  36. I'll just add that the link above is dated, so be aware of that, but it's good to see how things have changed.Try reading the Art of SEO by Eric Enge or you can try the SEO fitness workbook "the seven steps to Serch Engine Optimization Success on Google"
  37. The white hat v black hat seo show on youtube is good.Forget the books, forget the gurus. Basic SEO comes down to quality links, advanced SEO comes down to value. Google's recent changes to its algo factors in how visitors receive the site they go to. If they bounce out of it as they found the page to be of low value, Google will lower the ranking regardless of what hyper power authority links you're using. Linkbait has to lead to value bait, to optimize rankings.
