  1. >You are Anonymous.
  2. >You’ve been married to Twilight Sparkle, the famous Princess of Friendship, for just a little over a year now.
  3. >It was a pretty nice setup.
  4. >On top of being married to the mare of your dreams, you also basically got paid to bone her, got to live in a castle, and was officially made a prince by the Equestrian government.
  5. >Your life was basically perfectly.
  6. >Was.
  7. >A couple weeks ago, you noticed that Twilight was beginning to grow distant with you.
  8. >That spark between the two of you began to fade, and you didn’t know why.
  9. >It wasn’t until earlier today that you found out the answer from one of your wife’s friends, Rainbow Dash.
  10. >Evidently, she had been cheating on you for a good two months.
  11. >You wanted to believe her friend, but you had to see it for yourself.
  12. >You didn’t know whether you were lucky or unlucky, but Dash just happened to know where they met up, and when.
  13. >Apparently her late night “diplomatic meetings” were a load of shit.
  14. >Later that night, you found yourself creeping through the dark, dressed up in your darkest clothing as you dashed from shadow to shadow, following your wife as she trotted to her meet up point.
  15. >After about ten minutes of following her, she approached an orange, blue maned stallion.
  16. >You felt your heart drop as you watched them tenderly embrace and kiss each other, before entering the Ponyville Inn, where Rainbow Dash had told you they usually met up at.
  17. >You didn’t need to follow them to know what they were going to do.
  18.
  19. >Little did Anonymous know, there was somebody else following Twilight.
  20. >Your name is Starlight Glimmer.
  21. >It’s been a little over two years since your small village was raided by that bitch and her friends.
  22. >Everything was coming along perfectly until they showed up, turned the villagers against you, and you were sent into exile.
  23. >Now, all you had were the clothes on your back, and your lust for revenge.
  24. >You had spent the last couple years plotting your revenge, subtly working in the background to ruin Twilight Sparkle’s life, and bring chaos to Equestria.
  25. >Now, you noted with a smile, things were starting to come together.
  26. >The human that the princess had married just discovered that she had been seeing somebody else behind his back.
  27. >It took him long enough, but he finally noticed.
  28. >You watched him with a satisfied grin as a look of utter defeat crossed his face as he watched his wife enter an inn with another stallion, about to do what she did with Flash Sentry many, many times in the past.
  29. >The time was nearing to come into the open, and offer Anonymous a shoulder to cry on.
  30. >It wouldn’t be long before you could witness the fire rise, and the princess’s life turn to ashes before your eyes.
  31.
  32. >You are Anonymous.
  33. >You found yourself in disbelief as you watched some random stallion enter the Ponyville Inn with your wife.
  34. >There was no mistaking what was going on, watching them go at it like they did just a few moments ago
  35. >Just like how you and Twilight USED to give each other affection.
  36. >You felt a wide array of emotions hit you at once as the shock slowly began to fade.
  37. >Anger, despair, agony, disgust, you felt them all, and more.
  38. >You felt like you were about to throw up.
  39. >How the fuck could she do this to you?
  40. >After all you’ve been through?
  41. >After all you’ve done for her?
  42. “FUCK!”
  43. >You lashed out at a nearby trash bin, kicking it into the street with all your strength.
  44. “WHY?! FUCKING WHY?!”
  45. >You gave the trashcan another good kick while it was down, sending it rolling across the street.
  46. >You stood there, frantically breathing as you watched it roll across the street.
  47. >Slowly, your anger subsided, and a strong feeling of depression overcame you.
  48. >With a defeated sigh, you turned away and began to walk in the direction of the closest bar.
  49. >It’s been a long, long time since you’ve felt this way, but you needed a fucking drink.
  50. >Badly.
  51.
  52. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  53. >You followed the human at a safe distance, lurking in the shadows as he walked up the street, looking completely and utterly defeated.
  54. >The last thing you wanted was him to spot you following him.
  55. >The timing wasn’t right for you to come out of hiding.
  56. >If Anonymous spotted you following him, it would be game over. Back to square one.
  57. >You couldn’t afford to let that happen.
  58. >Luckily, he didn’t notice you trailing him, as he entered local drinking hole referred to as Outer Heaven.
  59. >Such a strange name, but, you had better things to do than question the name of a bar.
  60. >You gave it a few minutes before you crept out from the shadows and entered the establishment.
  61. >You took a few moments to shed your hooded cloak and place it up on a coat rack, before moving forward.
  62. >It only took you a few seconds to spot the human slouched over the bar, nursing a glass of whiskey.
  63. >You noted that the other ponies were giving him a wide berth, and both the seats beside him were empty.
  64. >Looks like it was your lucky day.
  65.
  66. >You are Anonymous.
  67. >You’ve only been in this bar for five minutes, and you were already on your third drink.
  68. >You doubted you would be slowing down anytime soon.
  69. >You didn’t care about the hangover you’d have in the morning, or the potential damage to your liver.
  70. >You just wanted to forget her.
  71. >You just wanted to forget her betrayal.
  72. “God dammit…”
  73. >Your words came out as a barely audible whisper.
  74. >Why the fuck didn’t you stick around?
  75. >That’s your fucking wife, the mare you devoted your fucking life to.
  76. >Why didn’t you go in there and fucking kick the shit out out of the prick that was trying to steal your wife from you?
  77. >Hell, why the fuck didn’t you go in there and kick the shit out of her as well?
  78. >She was the one who betrayed you.
  79. >The thought of a double murder suicide crossed your mind, but you quickly shook that out of your head.
  80. >The booze must’ve been getting to you.
  81. >You perked up slightly as you noticed somebody take the seat beside you.
  82. >Odd.
  83. >Usually the ponies avoided sitting next to you.
  84. >Even if they’ve gotten used to you over the past couple years, they still didn’t like being near you.
  85. >Whatever, it didn’t matter.
  86. >Nothing really mattered at this point, you noted as you took another drink.
  87.
  88. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  89. >The human took notice of you as you took a seat on the stool beside him.
  90. >He seemed surprised, but rather quickly went back to giving all his attention to his whiskey.
  91. >You ordered a dry martini for yourself, which the bartender was quick to put together for you.
  92. >You flashed him a grateful smile as he placed your drink in front of you.
  93. >He was pretty well coordinated for a stallion with only one eye.
  94. >Taking a sip from your martini, you noted he also made a damn fine cocktail as well.
  95. >You kept your focus on your drink as you kept on an eye on Anonymous.
  96. >You should strike now, but, he was still beating himself up inside.
  97. >You just had to wait for a moment of weakness-
  98. >There!
  99. >As the man finished off his third drink, you spotted tears brimming in his eyes.
  100. >”Give me another, boss.”
  101. >The bartender eyed the human sitting beside you.
  102. >”Don’t you think you had enough?”
  103. >Anonymous merely shook his glass at him.
  104. >”Another.”
  105. >The bartender shook his head, before filling up the man’s glass.
  106. >”Just don’t fucking pass out on my bar.”
  107. >He began to walk away, but you waved him over to get his attention.
  108. “Put it on my tab, please.”
  109. >The bartender gave you a funny look, but shrugged and walked away to follow your instructions.
  110.
  111. >”Put it in my tab, please.”
  112. >You perked up slightly as the mare who took a seat beside you spoke up.
  113. >You looked her way with a raised brow, your agony from today’s events briefly fading in light of this random stranger's charity.
  114. >She met your confused look with a kind smile.
  115. >You supposed it was customary to thank her for her act of kindness.
  116. “Thanks.”
  117. >You raised your glass to her in cheers, before taking a long drink from it.
  118. >”It’s not problem at all.”
  119. >Her cheerful smile only grew as she eyed you down.
  120. >”You seemed like you were in a bad mood, so, I figured I could help cheer you up.”
  121. >You gave her a suspicious look.
  122. >Her smile seemed genuine, but, outside Twilight’s friends, the ponies didn’t do anything for you without expecting anything in return.
  123. >Fuck, they didn’t even want anything to do with you.
  124. >They stayed as far away from you as possible.
  125. >So, that left one question.
  126. “Why?”
  127. >The mare seemed surprised by your question, but continued to sweetly smile at you.
  128. >”In my darkest times, I didn’t have anypo- anybody to comfort me. It would be wrong of me to let somebody go through something that was obviously deeply hurting them alone.”
  129. >Right.
  130. >”So…”
  131. >She leaned on the bar, resting her head on her hooves as she peered at you.
  132. >”Mind if I ask what’s wrong?”
  133. >You took in her question for a few seconds, before you remembered what got you here.
  134. >The rumors.
  135. >The suspicions.
  136. >The betrayal.
  137. >You growled out your response, the whiskey in your system making the anger you felt towards your traitorous wife and the bastard who was fucking her behind you back stronger than the depression.
  138. “I got played like a damn fiddle…”
  139.
  140. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  141. >This stupid grin on your face just wouldn’t go away.
  142. >This was perfect.
  143. >The sense of betrayal would be obvious to anybody with half a brain.
  144. >This was the weakness you needed to exploit.
  145. >All you had to do was take him under your hoof, make him trust you like he used to trust your wife.
  146. >Then, you could push that sense of betrayal in the right direction, and help Anonymous foster his own lust for vengeance.
  147. >At that point, all you’d need to do is sit back and relax.
  148. >A scandal like this would be enough to ruin the princess’s political career.
  149. >You were sure it would do quite a bit of damage to the princess herself as well.
  150. >Cheater or not, she had to still harbor feelings for him.
  151. >Anonymous siding with you would cut her deep.
  152. >But, first, you had to complete the first step.
  153. >To get Anonymous to rely on you, for moral support, affection, everything.
  154. >Shift his focus from Twilight to you.
  155. >Then you could get onto the good stuff.
  156.
  157. >You knew damn well what he was talking about, but regardless, you raised a questioning brow at his statement.
  158. “What do you mean?”
  159. >Anonymous grunted angrily, before taking a drink from his whiskey.
  160. >”Why does it matter?”
  161. >An annoyed glare crossed his face as he eyed you down.
  162. >”Why the hell do you care? You don’t know me, and I sure as fuck don’t know who you are. I don’t even know your fucking name!”
  163. >You were taken aback by the man’s sudden change in demeanor.
  164. >Had you pressed him too much?
  165. >You might’ve known about him, but as far as he knew, you were a stranger.
  166. >What were you thinking? You pushed too hard and fast.
  167. >Desperate to do damage control, you raised your hooves up defensively.
  168. “I-I’m sorry! I didn’t m-mean… I’m just trying to help.”
  169. >You pouted your lip out at him, giving him your best puppy eyes.
  170. “I’ve… I’ve been there. I’ve been betrayed, I’ve been stuck in a bar, drowning my problems because I didn’t have anybody to talk to about my issues.”
  171. >You reached out to him, but stopped just short of touching him, then retracted it, acting as if you were afraid how he would react if you actually committed the act.
  172. >Then again, you were genuinely afraid you would lose your chance to use Anonymous to get revenge.
  173. >You could scare him off because you couldn’t be subtle.
  174. >But… you could tell from the look in his eyes that you were getting through to him.
  175. >It was time to seal the deal.
  176. >You shifted on your stool, as you prepared to jump off of it.
  177. “I’m sorry… I-I’ll just go… enjoy the-”
  178. >”No.”
  179. >You grinned internally at the man’s order as he motioned towards the bar.
  180. >”Stay.”
  181. >You nodded, turning back around, taking up your original position.
  182. “I’m sorry… I just saw that you might’ve been in the same situation that I once was… I guess I got a little carried away.”
  183. >You shot him a sheepish smile, which he waved off.
  184. >”It’s alright, really… I’m sorry for snapping at you… just… well, I don’t need to tell you I’m going through some shit.”
  185. >He took a drink from his whiskey, before eyeing you down.
  186. >”So, you got a name?”
  187. >You nodded in response.
  188. “Starlight Glimmer. You can just call me Starlight, though.”
  189. >You mentally cheered as a small smile crossed the man’s face.
  190. >”I’m Anonymous, or Anon, I guess you could call me that.”
  191. >You flashed him a cheerful smile, happy you were getting through to him.
  192. “I’m pleased to make your acquaintance, Anon.”
  193. >His smile widened slightly, but suddenly faded, as Anonymous more than likely remembered just how he had gotten here.
  194. >You didn’t really know what to do or say as Anon went silent, adopting a thousand yard stare as he focused on the rest of the bar behind you.
  195. >After a while, you decided to speak up.
  196. “Anon, are you-”
  197. >”My wife…”
  198. >You blinked in response as he finally began to give you the answer you were seeking earlier.
  199. “Your wife? What about her? Is she alright?”
  200. >You relished in the man’s anger as it flared up in response to your question.
  201. >”She’s perfectly fucking fine! Only she’s on her back taking somebody else’s dick right now! THE FUCKING WHORE!”
  202. >You swore you thought you saw a blood vessel pop from Anon’s anger as he took a long drink of his whiskey, before slamming the glass back down on the table.
  203. >”I devoted my life to that cunt, and she fucking stabbed me in the back!
  204. >He slammed his fist down on the bar in his rage.
  205. >You revelled in his anger.
  206. >This was exactly what you needed.
  207. >It would take a couple days, maybe a couple weeks at most, but you could easily put his anger to use.
  208. >You might not even need to suggest revenge, he might already be lusting for it.
  209. >You shook yourself from your thoughts, holding a hoof up to your mouth as you recoiled in mock shock.
  210. “That’s horrible…”
  211. >You tried to think of something else to say, something to help comfort him, make him feel better, but you knew words rarely soothed betrayal.
  212. >When betrayal was involved, words could only kill.
  213. >Instead, you reached out to the man and wrapped your hooves around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.
  214. >He didn’t reject your touch.
  215. >He didn’t push you away, or lash out at you.
  216. >He accepted it, and embraced you in return.
  217. >You felt his body shake and his tears stain your coat as you held him.
  218. >Your touch had broken the fragile emotional barrier he had put up.
  219. >The dam had burst.
  220. >You were in.
  221.
  222. >You are Anonymous.
  223. >Ordinarily, you bottle up how shitty you felt.
  224. >Ordinarily.
  225. >The whiskey in your system had weakened your resolve, and the mare’s touch had broken you.
  226. >And so, you cried.
  227. >You fucking sobbed, held in the hooves of a random stranger.
  228. >You had heard her reasons, but it still perplexed why this random mare seemed to care so much about you.
  229. >Especially with how the other ponies treated you.
  230. >”There there…”
  231. >Her soothing voice and touch had somewhat alleviated your heartache, but every time you began to feel better, your mind shifted back to your wife.
  232. >Back to her betrayal.
  233. >Back to the fucking piece of shit who was more than likely rutting her right now.
  234. >Every time you thought of him penetrating her, he penetrated you as well, with a knife in your fucking back.
  235. >What the fuck were you even supposed to do?
  236. >Confront her? Get a divorce? Act like you didn’t know anything and stick with her?
  237. >You loved Twilight, but what she was doing, could not be forgotten.
  238. >As you thought this over, your mind shifted it’s focus to another question that was weighing down on your mind.
  239. >Why?
  240. >The two of you were seemingly happily married for over a year, and together even longer than that.
  241. >And yet, she had decided to stab you in the back.
  242. >To send you to hell.
  243. >And you couldn’t understand why.
  244. >Were you not good enough? Was all the affection and love you showered her love not enough for her?
  245. >You sighed into Starlight’s shoulder as you tried to get ahold of yourself.
  246. >Maybe this kind stranger held the answers you couldn’t quite figure out.
  247. “Starlight…”
  248. >”Hmmm?”
  249. >She pulled away from you, that sweet, comforting smile still spread out across her face.
  250. “Can I ask you a question?”
  251.
  252. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  253. >You raised a brow at his question, but smiled as pleasantly as always in response.
  254. “Certainly!”
  255. >He gave you a dead serious look as he opened his mouth to speak.
  256. >”You mentioned that you’ve been betrayed in the past, yes?”
  257. >Memories of Twilight Sparkle and her gang of friends showing up in your perfect utopia and turning your own against you, completely ruining everything, flashed across your mind your mind as you slowly nodded.
  258. “Yeah… I have…”
  259. >He immediately followed up your answer with another question.
  260. >”How’d you deal with it?”
  261. “Well…”
  262. >You should’ve been prepared for this question, but surprisingly, you weren’t.
  263. >How have you dealt with Twilight destroying your dream and future, getting those who once looked up to you as a leader to betray you?
  264. >You’ve chased and stalked her for the past couple years, working subtly in the background to ruin her life.
  265. >Really, your lust for revenge was how you dealt with the sense of betrayal.
  266. >If all you thought about was ruining Twilight and destroying Equestria, how could you dwell on the past?
  267. >Still, you couldn’t very well just blurt out you dealt with your issues by trying to destroy his wife’s life.
  268. >He had to think that it was his idea, or that you were just trying to help him.
  269. >If he found out that you were just using him to get at his wife, this conversation would be over.
  270. “I… I just keep myself distracted. If my mind is occupied, the past doesn’t get to me.”
  271. >The human nodded, seemingly satisfied with your answer.
  272. >”Yeah… I guess that makes sense…”
  273. >He took another drink of his whiskey, before staring off into your glass.
  274. >”She told me… she told me that I was the first guy to legitimately give her a chance. The first one to actually be interested in her, not just power or wealth…”
  275. >He sighed and took another drink, before continuing.
  276. >”She told me that we’d be together, forever. That she’d love me till death came take us away.”
  277. >His cold gaze fell upon you.
  278. >”I must be dead. I must be in Hell, living in this warped reality where my wife fucking lied to me, and is too busy fuck another guy to actually love me.”
  279. >He snorted in amusement, realizing just how crazy that sounded.
  280. >”No, I’m not dead. I’d know, because I did the last time.”
  281. >You raised your brow at this, and opened you mouth to question what he meant, but he continued on his tyrant.
  282. >”Truth is, Twilight sent me to Hell. And no matter how hard I try, I won’t be able to crawl out of this shithole that is fucking reality.”
  283.
  284. >Suddenly, he finished off the rest of his drink, and jumped up from his stool.
  285. >”Thanks for the drink, and the talk. Means a lot, really.”
  286. >He shot you a small, genuine smile.
  287. >”I think I’m going to go home. Get some sleep, think some things through.”
  288. >You nodded, shooting him your own smile.
  289. “Alright…”
  290. >You perked up, remembering you didn’t give him any means of getting back in touch with you.
  291. >You couldn’t come to him yourself, since Twilight wouldn’t let you anywhere near her castle.
  292. “Hey… hold up!”
  293. >You grabbed a small pen from your bit purse, and jotted down your address on a napkin, before passing it to him.
  294. “Here, I have a cottage out in the outskirts of Ponyville. If you wanna talk, or just hang out, come pay me a visit.”
  295. >He took the napkin from you, examining it for a few seconds, before shoving it in his pocket, shooting you a slightly bigger grin.
  296. >”Alright, I’ll keep that in mind… I’ll see you around, Starlight.”
  297. >And with that, he waved good bye, before walking away.
  298.
  299. >You are Anonymous.
  300. >You closed the door behind you with a slam as you finally got home.
  301. >The whiskey in your system should’ve left you in a state of comforting numbness, but all it did was make things worse.
  302. >The fact you could barely walk didn’t make things any better.
  303. >You began to stumble in the general direction of your bedroom, but remembered that Twilight had mentioned she’d be back later that night.
  304. >You felt nothing but disgust at the idea of sleeping in the same bed as her.
  305. >Hell, just the idea of being in the same building as her made you sick to your stomach.
  306. >Resisting the urge to vomit, you shifted from your usual path, making a beeline for the throne room.
  307. >You figured Rarity’s back up faint couch that made the room it’s home would make a decent place to sleep, even if it was stained with dried tears and ice cream.
  308. >You stumbled into the room, before making your way over the couch, and immediately collapsing on it.
  309.
  310. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  311. >You lay in your bed, rubbing your hooves together as if you were a greedy merchant.
  312. >Today was the first step to plant a thirst for revenge into Anonymous’s psyche, and it had gone even better than you expected.
  313. >Soon, it would infest his system, and all he would be able to think about is vengeance.
  314. >Nobody, not you, not Twilight, not even Princess Celestia would be able to stop it.
  315. >All you needed to do was keep playing your role, offering the human emotional support while planting the seeds for revenge.
  316. >The moment he became dependent on you, you would just need to give him a simple push in the right direction, and you would have won.
  317. >Then, you could focus on your next goal.
  318. >You were almost giddy with excitement as you thought about the future.
  319. >A world without cutie marks, where everypony was equal.
  320. >Where everypony was free.
  321. >Where there was no hate, no ugliness, nothing.
  322. >Equestria would truly be the perfect utopia it constantly believed itself to be.
  323. >And then, and only then, would your lust for revenge be satisfied.
  324.
  325. >You are Anonymous.
  326. >You had just managed to get to sleep when the throne room door opened.
  327. >Your cheating, lying wife had arrived.
  328. >You felt the bile rise in your throat as you heard her hooves clop against the hard floor as she made her way over to her desk.
  329. >You heard a surprised gasp emanate from her as you assumed she spotted you trying to sleep in the corner on her friend’s couch.
  330. >You weren’t about to open your eyes to confirm your suspicions.
  331. >You didn’t know what you would do if you saw her right now.
  332. >Hell, just hearing her walking around was fucking torture.
  333. >”Anon…?”
  334. >Her voice punctured your heart like a well sharpened blade.
  335. >How dare she use your name?
  336. >How dare she even speak to you?
  337. >What kind of fucked up bitch runs off to get fucked behind her husband’s back, then comes back, and acts like everything is perfectly fucking normal?
  338. >You felt yourself begin to grit your teeth in anger as you heard her begin to trot towards you.
  339. >You would love nothing more than to sit up, call her out on her shit, and knock her the fuck out for what she’s done to you.
  340. >But, you remained silent, opting to pretend to be asleep.
  341. >You listened to your cheating wife trot up to you, stopping only inches away from your body.
  342. >Every inch of your being begged you to move as far away from her as possible, but you stood fast.
  343. >Sooner or later, she would leave, and you could go back to sleep.
  344. >She stood there for a few minutes, while you prayed to whoever would listen to get her to leave, before she finally trotted away.
  345. >As soon as you heard her leave and close the door behind her, you let out a sigh of relief, a massive weight being lifted the moment you were no longer in her presence.
  346. >You couldn’t wait to wake up and get the hell out of here.
  347.
  348. >There was a point last night where you considered this whole thing was just a horrible nightmare.
  349. >When you awoke on that couch the next morning, you realized that you were wrong.
  350. >There was no nightmare.
  351. >This was reality.
  352. >And reality, was Hell.
  353. >This is where Twilight had decided to send you the moment she started fooling around behind your back.
  354. >You rolled off the couch and struggled the stand, your immense hangover currently kicking the shit out of you.
  355. >At least the massive headache you had made it a bit difficult to think about that fucking prick boning your wife.
  356. >As you stumbled out of throne room, your stomach growled with the ferocity of a pissed off manticore.
  357. >Part of you just wanted to get the fuck out of here, but, you supposed you could get some breakfast first.
  358. >With your mind concluded, you began to make your way towards the kitchen, following the smell of a fresh breakfast being cooked.
  359.
  360. >You stumbled into the kitchen, where a few servants were busy preparing breakfast.
  361. >You mumbled out a few half-hearted greetings, before grabbing a glass of water.
  362. >Like a man who had just wandered the desert for four days straight, you downed the glass of water in seconds.
  363. >You quickly refilled it, and grabbed a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice on the way over to the table.
  364. >Nursing your water and occasionally sipping away at your orange juice, you waited on the staff to finish up with whatever they were cooking.
  365. >As you finished off your second glass of water, you heard the sound of a new set of hooves clopping against the hard floor.
  366. >You knew who it was.
  367. >You didn’t dare look her way.
  368. >”Good morning, Anon!”
  369. >Her cheerful greeting was like nails on a fucking chalkboard to your ears.
  370. >Feeling your anger beginning to build, you ignored your wife, hoping that the staff would hurry up and give you something to go.
  371. >She betrayed you.
  372. >The last thing she deserved was your attention.
  373. >”Anon?”
  374. >You felt her breath brush against your ear as she tried to get your attention.
  375. >You couldn’t-
  376. >You flinched as you felt her place her hoof on your shoulder.
  377. >Her voice was bad enough, but her touching you was more than you could bear.
  378. >You immediately jumped out of your seat and backed away, your chair going flying as you did so.
  379. “DON’T FUCKING TOUCH ME.”
  380. >Everything stopped as your shout reverberated throughout the castle.
  381. >You heard silverware clatter and plates shatter in the kitchen.
  382. >You figured that was the sound of you scaring the shit out of the servants currently working on your breakfast, but you could care less.
  383. >Your focus was on your wife.
  384. >You cheating, lying, bitch wife.
  385. >Twilight looked up at you with a hurt expression, her ears flattened against her skull.
  386. >”I-I’m sorry! Are y-you alright? Is everything okay, dear?”
  387. >You felt your anger rise the more and more she spoke to you.
  388. “No, I am not fucking alright, Twilight. Things are the farthest from being okay than they have been since I fucking showed up here.”
  389. >You didn’t give her the chance to say anything as you continued.
  390. “I know, Twilight. I fucking know.”
  391. >She actually seemed confused by your statement.
  392. >”What do you me-”
  393. “Rainbow Dash fucking told me, Twilight. Fuck, I saw you with that piece of shit last night!”
  394. >Her eyes widened as she finally picked up on what you were talking about.
  395. >”A-anon, it’s not what-”
  396. “Shut your lying whore mouth!”
  397. >You shot her a harsh glare her way, as you took a menacing step towards her, you fist clenched with anger.
  398. “Do you think I’m fucking stupid?! I fucking watched you with him! I fucking know what I saw!”
  399. >”I-I-!”
  400. >You didn’t even think anger described how you felt anymore.
  401. >Fury. Absolute, unadulterated fury.
  402. >All you wanted to do was slam her fucking face into a God damned wall.
  403. >You shifted your focus to the servants who were watching the two of you with widened eyes.
  404. “Leave…”
  405. >They hesitated, something you were in no fucking mood for.
  406. “NOW!”
  407. >They finally got the message, rushing out of the room as you yelled after them.
  408. >You immediately turned back to Twilight, slamming your fist down on the table.
  409. “Don’t you fucking lie to me!”
  410. >”Anon, I-I didn’t-!”
  411. “DO I LOOK LIKE I’M IN THE MOOD FOR YOU TO MAKE SHIT UP?!”
  412. >You grabbed the kitchen table and threw it across the room as you lashed out.
  413. “DO I?!”
  414. >She gulped, the fear and pain evident in her eyes.
  415. >”I… I didn’t- I-I’m sorry…”
  416. >Tears welled up in her eyes as she sniffled, rubbing at her eyes with her hoof.
  417. >”I-I’m so, so sorry…”
  418. >You felt your rage boil over and subside as you took in the scene before you.
  419. >All you felt now, was rejection, and depression.
  420. >You felt your heart ache as you stared her down, your own tears forming in your eyes.
  421. “I’m fucking leaving…”
  422. >With that, you began to walk out of the kitchen.
  423. >She moved to stop you, but you shoved her out of your way, sending the mare to the ground.
  424. >You didn’t stop to check on her, you kept moving, maneuvering around the mess you created in your rage.
  425. >You needed to get out of there.
  426. >You despised Twilight for what she did to you, but you still loved her.
  427. >You wanted to beat her to till she couldn’t even breathe anymore, but at the same time, you didn’t want to hurt her.
  428. >You threw open the door as you left the castle behind.
  429. >You’d fucking deal with her shit later.
  430. “Fucking hell…”
  431. >As the castle disappeared over the horizon as you walked into town, you wondered what you should do now.
  432. >You considered going to one of Twilight’s friends, since they were closest things you had to friends in this fucking shitty town.
  433. >But… hell, they fucking hid the truth from you months.
  434. >And they would’ve kept doing so if Rainbow Dash didn’t guilt trip herself into telling you.
  435. >They didn’t deserve your presence anymore than Twilight did.
  436. >You blinked, remembering the mare you had talked to the previous evening.
  437. >You reached into your pocket, finding the napkin that she had written her address on for you as you left the bar the previous night.
  438. >...you had to admit, part of you thought she was just some bar floozy, or somebody who was just pretending to care for you to get something out of it.
  439. >But, you really didn’t if either of those things were true.
  440. >You just wanted be with somebody who didn’t avoid or betray you right now.
  441.
  442. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  443. >You found yourself idly working on eating a bowl of oats when there was knock at your front door.
  444. >You perked up immediately, as that same stupid grin from the previous night spread across your muzzle.
  445. >There was only one visitor that you were expecting.
  446. >You made a beeline for the front door, took a moment to compose yourself, and pulled it open.
  447. >You were briefly blinded by the bright early morning sun, but as your eyes adjusted, you spotted Anonymous standing before you.
  448. >...he looked like hammered shit.
  449. >Couldn’t really blame him, you guessed.
  450. >Between the massive hangover and his wife betraying him, it must’ve been difficult for him.
  451. >All the better for you, you supposed.
  452. >The worse he took it, the more you could comfort him.
  453. >The more you comforted him, the more he relied on you.
  454. >And the more he relied on you, the easier it would be for you to put him on the path of revenge.
  455. “Anon! How good it is to see you~!”
  456. >Hey Starlight…”
  457. >He flashed you a smile as he greeted you.
  458. >His smile… it was… off putting.
  459. >It looked broken, fractured.
  460. >Anonymous was trying hard to hide being an extremely flawed mask of happiness, but it was clear that even more damage had been done to him than you initially thought.
  461. >Perfect.
  462. >You ushered him inside with a sweet smile.
  463. “Please, make yourself at home!”
  464. >You trotted inside with a sway in your hips and skip in your steps as he followed you inside.
  465. >”Hey, Starlight?”
  466. >You rounded on him, eyeing him down.
  467. “Hmm~?”
  468. >He was holding a bottle of Applejack Daniels out towards you.
  469. >”I figured I’d get something for you since you bought me a drink last night. Got anywhere for me to put it?”
  470. >You weren’t much of a whiskey pony, but, what the hay, it might be nice to have around for Anonymous.
  471. >Turning him against his wife wouldn’t be an overnight job, even with all the damage she was doing.
  472. >You motioned him towards your kitchen, a grateful grin spread across your face.
  473. “Just leave it on the counter.”
  474. >He nodded in affirmation as he walked past you, making his way past you as followed his instructions.
  475. >As he did so, you moved into the living room, plopping down on the loveseat and getting comfortable.
  476. >While you waited on him to rejoin you, you took a moment to think over your game plan.
  477. >Quite a bit of damage had been dealt to him already, so that was already covered.
  478. >All you really needed to do was figure out how to get him being depressed and mopey, to being willing to help you get revenge.
  479. >You had many options weighing down on your mind.
  480. >Right now, you were just offering him support and affection.
  481. >But, you were really considering taking things up a notch.
  482. >Seduction was one of your strongest weapons, after all.
  483. >Even married stallions have fallen to your feminine wiles.
  484. >Anonymous would be no different, especially considering his wife hasn’t been faithful to him.
  485. >That would be your final blow, after he made him reliant on you for emotional support.
  486. >After you gave him a little taste of revenge, you could unleash him on Twilight, and then Equestria after he was done with her.
  487. >Your lust for revenge seemed to grow by the second the more and more you thought about it.
  488. >As well as your lust for… other things.
  489. >You had to admit, there were ulterior motives to the next phase of your plan.
  490. >A mare gets just a bit pent up when she focuses all her time and energy on revenge.
  491. >And, as you’ve found out over the past year, humans are much, much more virile than stallions.
  492. >Getting a good rut out of efforts to get revenge on Twilight and make everypony equal would be a nice little bonus.
  493.
  494. >You are Anonymous.
  495. >After placing the bottle of whiskey that you had brought with you where Starlight had requested, you made your way out of the kitchen and walked into the living room, where the mare was waiting.
  496. >She was reclining on a loveseat, lying in a rather… revealing manner.
  497. >She was laying on her side, her flanks facing your direction, and her tail caught underneath her body, leaving nothing to obscure her slit and ponut.
  498. >You really couldn’t say for sure if she was lying that way on purpose, or if it was just a coincidence.
  499. >You just decided you’d leave it up to her to reveal to you if she really was just a bar floozy who was trying way too hard to not look like one.
  500. >You were drawn back to reality as you heard a cheerful hum emanate from the mare.
  501. >You pried your eyes away from her privates and glanced up at her face.
  502. >She flashed you a knowing smile as she eyed you down.
  503. >She didn’t say anything about your wandering eyes, but really, she didn’t need to.
  504. >She let out a light giggle, before sitting up slightly, patting the other side of the loveseat.
  505. >”Come join me, Anon. I won’t bite~!”
  506. >Her teasing tone didn’t make you feel like she was telling the truth.
  507. >Regardless, you closed the distance between you and the couch, plopping down beside her.
  508. >Her teasing grin disappeared the moment you melted into the loveseat and let out a defeated sigh.
  509. >A look of concern crossed her face as she reached out to you, placing a comforting hoof on your shoulder.
  510. >“Everything alright, Anon?”
  511. >You gave the mare a condescending look, much like a certain baseball bat wielding balding comedian.
  512. “Iunno, is it?”
  513. >”You know what I mean, Anon.”
  514. >You let out another sigh.
  515. “Right.”
  516. >You thought over everything that had happened since you had waken up this morning.
  517. >The agony of an intense hangover.
  518. >The pleasant aroma of a freshly cooked breakfast.
  519. >The temporary peace being shattered by the arrival of your wife.
  520. >Her torturous voice, like nails on a chalkboard.
  521. >Her agonizing touch, that burnt like hot fire.
  522. >Her treacherous lies.
  523. >All of your pent up rage and fury from the previous night finally being explosively released in response.
  524. >All she could do was say she was sorry.
  525. >She couldn’t even fucking admit the truth.
  526. >She couldn’t even tell you why.
  527. >You felt your teeth begin to grind against each other, your anger growing stronger as you thought about your bitch wife.
  528. >”Anon…”
  529. >You were shaken from your thoughts as you felt Starlight’s warm body press against yours as she climbed on top of you.
  530. >The hairs on the back of your neck bristled as her soft hooves wrapped around your neck.
  531. >As she pulled you into a delicate embrace, she spoke softly into your ear, her hot breath sending shivers down your spine as her breath brushed against your neck.
  532. >”You don’t need to tell me what happened if you don’t want to…”
  533. >You felt your rage begin to wash away at the sound of her comforting embrace, leaving only a lingering feeling of depression as you responded.
  534. “I confronted her. I told her that I knew everything. I told her I saw it with my own eyes.”
  535. >You wrapped your own arms around the mare as you continued to respond to her previous question.
  536. “All she could do was lie… and try to avoid the issue. All it did was piss me off.”
  537. >Images of a destroyed kitchen, frightened servants fleeing, and a broken mare looking up at you with fear in her eyes flashed through your mind as you tightened your grip on Starlight.
  538. “It took me every fiber of my being not to lash out at her. The only thing I could do to avoid beating her to a bloodied pulp was to take my anger out on everything else.”
  539. >You briefly considered stopping there… but the expectant look on the mare’s face prompted you to continue.
  540. “Truth be told… I loved every moment of it. Taking out all my anger and emotions on her.”
  541. >Your features stiffened as you began to finish up with your answer.
  542. “My only regret is I didn’t go farther…”
  543.
  544. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  545. >As you listened to Anonymous speak, you were finding it extremely difficult not to break out into a smile.
  546. >You hadn’t even done anything yet, other than offer Anonymous a shoulder to cry on and a little bit of affection.
  547. >And yet, here he was.
  548. >Fostering his own lust for vengeance.
  549. >Just a little bit of guidance, that’s all it would take.
  550. >Then you and your newfound ally could take your revenge.
  551. >You got face to face with the human, whose expression seemed to show shame in his admission of how he truly felt.
  552. “Maybe you should’ve gone farther…”
  553. >His eyes met yours, as look of confusion overcame his face.
  554. >”Are you serious…?”
  555. >You nodded, giving the man a cold stare.
  556. >He had already set himself up to pursue a path of revenge.
  557. >You may as well push him to do it.
  558. “She betrayed you, Anonymous. For months, she’s been lying to you, sleeping around behind your back with some random stallion. She deserves whatever you do to her, and more.”
  559. >As his expression changed from one of confusion to righteous indignation, you realized that you may have actually struck a chord with him.
  560. >”You’re right…”
  561. >You couldn’t help but crack a grin at his response.
  562. >You weren’t suspecting success this early in the game.
  563. >But, your celebration was short lived, as he spoke up once more.
  564. >”But… I don’t think I can do that…”
  565. >He flashed you a sad look.
  566. >”All I can think about is her betrayal… how she slept around with somebody else, behind my back, for months on end. But... I still love her. Deep down, I do. There’s no way I take my anger out on her, physically.”
  567. >You opened your mouth to speak, but he kept talking.
  568. >”But, there’s no way I can go back to her. Because at the same time, I fucking hate her God damned guts.”
  569. >You felt him grip onto you tighter, as if he were trying to crush you with his embrace.
  570. >”It over between her and I, that much is for sure…”
  571. >He fell silent for a moment, and you took this moment to speak up.
  572. ”You want to do more than that, don’t you?”
  573. >That look of righteous indignation from earlier came back as he nodded.
  574. >You felt as if you were looking into a mirror as you stared into his eyes.
  575. >His eyes shined with a lust for vengeance, much like yours.
  576. >”I do. I want to make her pay. I want to make the piece of shit who fucked her pay. I want to make all the ponies who lied to me pay.”
  577. >His words were like music to your ears.
  578. >You didn’t even bother hiding your manic smile as you spoke.
  579. “Then, let me help you.”
  580.
  581. >He examined the you with a raised brow as you eyed him down, feeling the fiery passion burning in her eyes as you did so.
  582. >“Help me?”
  583. >You nodded, a toothy grin spreading across your muzzle.
  584. ”I have all sorts of ideas and methods in mind… the type of stuff that could completely ruin your wife’s life.”
  585. >You had waited too long for this moment.
  586. >All the planning, all the subtle work in the background to ruin Twilight’s perfect little life, all of your efforts were about to pay off.
  587. >But… that could wait.
  588. >You wanted to see how big Anonymous’s lust for revenge really was, first.
  589. >Your toothy grin morphed into a cheeky, mischievous smile as you leaned forward slightly, leaving only a few inches between your faces.
  590. ”For now, though, I wanna help you get even.”
  591. >His confusion was obvious from the way he was looking at you.
  592. >All the better, you loved giving surprises.
  593. >Shifting your body just slightly to allow for easier access, you traced a hoof down his back, keeping your other hoof behind his neck as you did so.
  594. >Before he could do or say anything, your hoof crossed over to his leg, and brushed his crotch.
  595. >Anonymous immediately stiffened as you did so, in more than one way.
  596. >You flashed him a sultry smirk, as you slowly ran your hoof up and down the length his rapidly hardening erection.
  597. >His body shivered from the sudden rush of pleasure, as he opened his mouth to protest.
  598. >”S-Starlight, I-!”
  599. >You didn’t let him continue, interrupting him as you used the hoof you had left behind his neck to pull him in, forcing your lips against his.
  600.
  601. >You are Anonymous.
  602. >Your eyes widen with shock as you feel Starlight’s lips shove against yours, her hoof still teasingly rubbing at your junk.
  603. >You were hit by so many conflicting feelings, you genuinely didn’t know how to react.
  604. >Sure, Twilight cheated on you.
  605. >She fucking stabbed you in the fucking back, and lied about it to you about for months while she continued to do so.
  606. >You despised her for it.
  607. >Hell, you didn’t want to just divorce her, you wanted to ruin her fucking life for it.
  608. >Same with everybody else involved.
  609. >You intended on making them all pay.
  610. >But… were you ready for this?
  611. >You had just met this mare last night, for fuck’s sake.
  612. >Grabbing the mare’s shoulders, you gave her a light shove, which was just enough to get her off of you.
  613. “Knock it off!”
  614. >Judging by the expression on the mare’s face, it seemed that Starlight was surprised by your actions.
  615. >You hoped you didn’t hurt her or anything.
  616. >At this point, she might as well be your only friend.
  617. “I… I don’t think I’m ready for this, Starlight. Sorry.”
  618.
  619. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  620. >You blinked as you took in his words.
  621. >He was rejecting you?
  622. >How? When you actually tried to seduce somebody, it never failed.
  623. >Yet, here he was, shoving you away from him, refusing to go any farther.
  624. >Why would he refuse you?
  625. >You knew damn well you were an attractive mare, and you knew damn well he knew that you were too.
  626. >He wouldn’t be this hard from a simple teasing touch if he thought you were ugly.
  627. >And there was no way that he was refusing you for Twilight’s sake.
  628. >He just stated he was done with her.
  629. >He just fucking said he wanted to get revenge on Twilight.
  630. >So… that just left one question…
  631. “Why? What’s holding you back?”
  632. >You pouted your lips out at him, shooting him your best hurt look.
  633. >You weren’t just doing this to push him further to revenge.
  634. >You wanted him.
  635. >You wanted him to rut you right here on this couch.
  636. >This is the closest you’ve gotten to doing anything sexual with somebody else in over two years.
  637. >You had focused so much on getting revenge that you forgot that you needed to take care of your needs as well.
  638. >He regarded you with an apologetic smile.
  639. >”It’s not you, I swear. I just don’t think I’m ready for this.”
  640. >He apparently picked up on the immense disappointment on your face, as he leaned forward, carressing your cheek as he planted a small kiss on your forehead.
  641. >”Another time… right now, though, I can’t help but feel like it would be wrong to do something with another mare, even if my wife didn’t give me the same consideration.”
  642. >You shot him a small smile.
  643. “Alright…”
  644. >You supposed you could wait.
  645. >If you forced him to fuck you, more than likely, you’d be stuck back at square one.
  646. >Unfortunately, as pent up as you were, nobody liked being forced into sex against their will.
  647. >You were just happy he didn’t force you out of his lap.
  648. >With the way you were sitting, his erection sat right between your flanks, rubbing against your marehood.
  649. >Just the touch of it alone against your hot, slightly wet slit was enough to somewhat alleviate your pent up sexual energy.
  650. >You shifted around in his lap, turning away from him as you leaned into his chest.
  651. >He might not have been ready for sex, but he was more than willing to accept your affection.
  652. >And the more you gave him, the closer the two of you would become.
  653. >The more he relied on you for affection, the better.
  654. >Tilting your head back so you could look up at him, you shot him a cheeky grin.
  655. “How about we just go for a walk, then? I think some fresh air would do the two of us some good.”
  656. >He met your smile with one of his own, as he opened his mouth to speak.
  657. >”That sounds pretty nice, actually.”
  658.
  659. >You are Anonymous.
  660. >After some messing around, you and Starlight finally left her cottage, and began walking towards town.
  661. >She was surprisingly resilient to the idea of going into town with you, and only agreed to do so on the condition that she could wear a hooded cloak.
  662. >For a moment, you thought she didn’t want to be seen in town with you, but judging by how adamant she was about that not being an issue, plus the events of last night, you doubted that was the reason.
  663. >Still, you were curious why she was going to such lengths to avoid going into town.
  664. >She didn’t seem like much of a shut in.
  665. >Whatever, you weren’t going to dwell on it.
  666. >At least she agreed to do it.
  667. >After a few minutes of walking, you found yourself wandering into the downtown area of Ponyville.
  668. >The ponies were busy putting up decorations for their blatant rip-off of Christmas.
  669. >Their rip-off was kind of gay, but, at the same time, it was pretty legit, since it was effectively Christmas and the 4th of July
  670. >Normally, you tended to enjoy it more than not.
  671. >But… this year, all you could think about when you saw all the happy ponies and the festive decorations was the time you spent on previous Hearth Warming’s with Twilight, and her friends.
  672. >And every time you thought of the happy times, it brought you right back to the present.
  673. >They had all betrayed you, one way or the other.
  674. >And one way or the other, you were going to get your revenge.
  675.
  676. >Your vengeful inner monologue was cut short by a fierce growl.
  677. >It took you a few moments to figure what the source was, but you eventually realized that the growl came from your stomach.
  678. >...oh yeah, you didn’t eat this morning.
  679. >You kinda destroyed the dining room and scared off the servants before they could finish cooking your breakfast.
  680. >Whoops…
  681. >Fuck it, you were in the mood for one of Maxi Bun’s burgers anyways.
  682. >A beer would do you good, anyways.
  683. “Hey?”
  684. >The cloaked mare who walked beside you look up at you with a raised brow.
  685. >”Hmm?”
  686. “You hungry? I didn’t get to eat breakfast, thanks to… uh…”
  687. >She shot you a reassuring smile.
  688. >”It’s alright, Anon, I understand. I kinda forgot to finish eating my breakfast, anyways.”
  689. >A teasing smirk crossed her muzzle as she continued with a cheerful voice.
  690. >”I was pretty intent on getting filled up in another manner, after all~!”
  691. >L-lewd.
  692. >You tried to ignore her teasing.
  693. >You were too hungry for that, anyways.
  694. >You just wanted a good, chemical filled burger, crafted by a double amputee.
  695. >Shit was fucking delicious, and it reminded you of home.
  696. >With your mind concluded, you changed a course, with Outer Heaven being your new destination.
  697.
  698. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
  699. >You found yourself, sitting alone in what was once the dining room, and was now a disaster zone.
  700. >Servants have came and went, both trying to clean up the mess and check to see if you were alright.
  701. >Every time, you ordered them to leave.
  702. >You wanted to be able to see the destruction you caused by your actions.
  703. >You played Anonymous’s actions and words over and over again in your head like a broken record.
  704. >He knew.
  705. >He wasn’t just told about you and Flash, he saw the two of you together as well.
  706. >You didn’t know how much he saw, but he probably knew what the two of you were doing.
  707. >Despite the fact that many referred to Anonymous as a dumb, hairless ape, he was pretty smart.
  708. >Definitely intelligent enough to figure out that you were sleeping around behind his back.
  709. >You knew he’d want answers, and a divorce.
  710. >Were you prepared for that?
  711. >No.
  712. >You loved Anonymous, even if he probably didn’t think you did at this point.
  713. >You might have loved Flash too, but you definitely still loved Anonymous.
  714. >But it didn’t matter how much you loved Anonymous, how much you begged him to stay, you were going to pay for your mistakes.
  715. >You were going to lose your husband, the man you’ve been in love with for years, and it was all your fault.
  716. >You felt fresh tears run down your already tear stained cheek as you thought about him leaving you.
  717. >Why couldn’t you just stay faithful to your husband?
  718. >You didn’t need anything else.
  719. >Other than being a bit of an asshole, Anonymous treated you very well.
  720. >It wasn’t that he was bad in bed either. He might not have been as big as a stallion, but he was much, much more virile.
  721. >So why had you allowed yourself to sleep with another stallion?
  722. >Why had you allowed yourself to fall in love with somebody else?
  723. >A defeated sigh had escaped your muzzle, as you weren’t able to come up with an answer.
  724. >They were just irrational mistakes that you were going to regret for the rest of eternity, whether you liked it or not.
  725.
  726. >”My goodness!”
  727. >You were brought back to reality as you heard Rarity cry out in shock.
  728. >Your ears perked up, hearing five sets of hooves enter the room.
  729. >”Twilight? Where are you?”
  730. >You remained silent, not wanting to lead them to you.
  731. >You just wanted to be alone.
  732. >”Found her~!”
  733. >Pinkie’s sing song voice brought ruin to your hopes that you wouldn’t be found.
  734. >It was inevitable, you were sitting out in the open, after all.
  735. >Maybe if you had an oversized box to hide in-
  736. >”Dear Celestia…”
  737. >You looked up, spotting your five friends, looking at you with varying degrees of concern on their faces.
  738. >Rarity approached you, placing a comforting hoof on your shoulder.
  739. >”Are you alright, darling?”
  740. “No…”
  741. >You pushed her away from you.
  742. >You weren’t in the mood to be talked to, let alone touched.
  743. “What are you doing here? I gave the servants very specific orders to be left alone.”
  744. >You shot the five of them an intense glare as you awaited an answer.
  745. >After a few moment, Applejack spoke up.
  746. >”Well… uh… we were comin’ to get ya since we were gonna go out for some lunch. Figured ya’d want to join us, since yer… uh… a pretty big fan of burgers.”
  747. >She looked around the room, taking in the destruction that was left in Anonymous’s wake after he confronted you.
  748. >”But… now we’re just here fer ya, sugarcube. Looks like ya’ve had a rough day.”
  749. “You think?!”
  750. >You motioned them to the door that led out of the kitchen with your hoof.
  751. “Go! I want to be alone.”
  752. >”Twilight, we aren’t-”
  753. >You’ve had enough.
  754. >The smell of ozone filled the air as your horn lit up with magical energy.
  755. >With a bright flash, your friends were gone.
  756. >You found yourself in comforting solitude, once again.
  757.
  758. >You are Anonymous.
  759. >Once upon a time, you were given two options.
  760. >Heaven, or Hell.
  761. >You chose the third option.
  762. >Outer Heaven, a second chance.
  763. >It was only natural that you’d appear in a bar named ‘Outer Heaven’ when you appeared here.
  764. >It was only more natural you’d become a regular there.
  765. >You leaned back into the cushy booth seat, doing your best to relax as you kicked your legs up on the seat opposite from yours.
  766. >You found yourself alone, as Starlight had ran off to use the restroom after you had finished putting in your orders.
  767. >You didn’t mind.
  768. >The silence allowed you to listen to the song playing in the background, just barely audible over the soft chatter of the surrounding bar patrons.
  769. >The song was strangely reminiscent of Here’s To You, by Joan Baez.
  770. >It actually shared a lot of the lyrics, though there were some differences.
  771. >Just another thing that the ponies had ripped off from your world.
  772. >Not that you minded, though.
  773. >You loved this song.
  774. >Every time you listened to it, it would help you relax.
  775. >Even now, with your life falling apart around you, it was helping you drift away from reality, just briefly for the few minutes that it played.
  776. >Unfortunately, the song lasted for only a couple of minutes, and the second it ended, you were right back where you were when it had began.
  777. >A few minutes later, Starlight returned from the bathroom.
  778. >She dropped her hood as she plopped down beside you, a cheeky grin on her face.
  779. >Why didn’t she sit across-
  780. >Oh.
  781. >The answer came to you as you once more felt her hoof once brush against your loins.
  782. >She looked at you, a cocky smirk on her face.
  783. >”I’d say it’s another time, Anon~”
  784. >You shot her an annoyed look, before pushing away her hoof.
  785. “I said I wasn’t ready for that like less than thirty minutes ago, Starlight.”
  786. >She gave you the same puppy eyes as before, but you didn’t budge.
  787. >When she realized you weren’t going to budge, an apologetic look crossed her face.
  788. >”Sorry Anon…”
  789. >She shot you a coy little smile as she continued.
  790. >”I’m just a little pent up, I guess.”
  791. >No shit.
  792. “Look… I don’t need to tell you I’m going through a lot of shit. The last thing on my mind is getting involved with somebody else.”
  793. >You let out a sigh, feeling a frown cross your face.
  794. “Just… just give me some time.”
  795. >She seemed disappointed by your answer.
  796. >As if she expected different results in less than thirty minutes.
  797. >Whatever.
  798. >As long as she took no for an answer.
  799. >At the moment, you weren’t interested in a rebound mare.
  800. “Look, how about you let me get to know you a little more? Then I might be more comfortable with, well, anything like that.”
  801. >She raised a brow at your statement.
  802. >”Well, what do you wanna know?”
  803. >You shrugged.
  804. “How about you tell me about your childhood or something? Your hobbies and interests? Iunno, give me something to work with.”
  805. >A weird look overcame her face at the mention of the word ‘childhood’.
  806. >She looked almost traumatized.
  807. >”M-my childhood?”
  808. >Shit.
  809. >You hoped you didn't touch upon something you shouldn't have.
  810. "If you don't wanna-"
  811. >"No! It's fine. Give me a moment..."
  812.
  813. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
  814. >You… you really didn’t know how to respond to the human’s question.
  815. >Your childhood was just a gigantic mess.
  816. >What would you tell him? Would should you leave out?
  817. >Shit, he’s looking at you expectantly.
  818. >You couldn’t keep him waiting.
  819. “I… I was born in a small village, out on the outskirts of Equestria. I’d say my childhood was… rather uneventful…”
  820. >It was pretty easy to tell by the look on his face you knew you were hiding something.
  821. >If you wanted to get revenge, you would need him to trust you.
  822. >It couldn’t hurt to tell him the rest, right?
  823. ”When I was growing up, there was only a few ponies my age that lived in the same village. I only had one friend named Sunburst.”
  824. >You felt a sad little smile creep across your face as you remembered the good times the two of you shared.
  825. “Him and I, we were inseparable. We did everything together.”
  826. >The smile on your face disappeared completely as you remembered that fateful day that your friendship came to an abrupt end.
  827. “I was still a small filly when he got his cutie mark. It was inevitable, really. Cutie marks happen sooner or later for everybody.”
  828. >You grimaced as you continued to tell your tale.
  829. “The moment he got it, he was taken away from me by our elders. They sent the one friend I had away from me. To Canterlot.”
  830. >You felt your heart ache as if somebody ran a fucking knife into it.
  831. >Sunburst was your one, and only friend.
  832. >After he abandoned you, you never made another friend.
  833. >You knew that they would abandon you as well the moment they got their cutie marks.
  834. >That’s all cutie marks were good for.
  835. >Causing pain, and ruining friendships.
  836. >By magically gifting ponies with special abilities, they forced them apart, leading to elitism and destruction.
  837. >In essence, cutie marks created false harmony.
  838. >You promised yourself that future generations wouldn’t share the same fate as you, no matter what it cost you.
  839. >You would rid the world of infestation - sans destino marchio.
  840. >Initially, the world would be torn asunder.
  841. >Ponies would suffer, of course. A phantom pain.
  842. >They wouldn’t know how to react.
  843. >Everybody trusted in their cutie marks to tell them how to live their lives.
  844. >The moment they lost their guidance, there would be chaos.
  845. >But it would be set free, and in the following years, ponies will adapt.
  846. >They will be free to chose their own paths in life, craft their own destinies.
  847. >Ponies would learn to accept, and love their new way of life.
  848.
  849. >”Starlight?”
  850. >Anonymous’s voice brought you back to reality.
  851. >There were now two very appetising looking burgers sitting in front of you and the man who sat beside you, who was examining you with a look of concern.
  852. “Yeah…?”
  853. >”Are you alright? You told me about your friend Sunburst, and then you went silent, going into some weird trance for like five minutes.”
  854. “Yeah… I’m fine.”
  855. >He raised a brow at your blatant lie, more than likely seeing through your obvious deception.
  856. >”Are you sure about that?”
  857. >Should you… should you tell him?
  858. >You doubted lying to him about something as simple as this would damage anything with him.
  859. >He was already on the path of revenge, no matter what, you would get what you were after.
  860. >But… it felt like a bad call blatantly lying to him, especially when you needed his trust.
  861. >After a few moments of debating, you had come to a conclusion.
  862. “Sunburst… when he torn from me by my elders, I was left behind, alone.”
  863. >You found yourself once again staring off into the distance like a soldier returning from a conflict as you continued to speak.
  864. “He was the last friend I had… I never made another one. I was too afraid that another cutie mark would steal away whatever friends I made…”
  865. >That heart ache from earlier only grew more painful as you spoke the truth.
  866. >For the past two years, you constantly pursued revenge against Twilight.
  867. >So much so, you had forgotten just how lonely you were.
  868. >Tell Anonymous about your past… it brought back a lot of feelings you hadn’t felt in years.
  869. >As you let out a heart wrenching sigh, you were shocked as a pair of arms wrapped around you.
  870. >You gasped as Anonymous pulled into a tight embrace, slowly rubbing at your back as he tried his best to comfort you with his affection.
  871. >”I didn’t really have friends, growing up, or later in life. When I was younger, I spent all my time in school, or working. And when I grew up, and chose to answer the world’s call for wet-work, my profession only allowed me to gain comrades.”
  872. >He gripped you tighter as he held you in his arms, continuing to speak softly in your ear.
  873. >”I didn’t experience friendship until I showed up in Equestria, and met Twilight, as well as her friends.”
  874. >You did nothing but listened as the man spoke and showered you with his affection.
  875. >”But those ‘friends’ all stabbed me in the back. They betrayed me, all of them. They were no more my friends then Sunburst was your friend.”
  876. >He looked down at you, as a smile spread across his face.
  877. >”Then you came along. You picked up the pieces after my wife . You gave me the comfort I needed when nobody else was there for me.”
  878. >”As far as I’m concerned, the two of us are friends.”
  879.
  880. >You felt your crippling loneliness fade as you took in Anonymous’s words, a triumphant smile crossing your face.
  881. >You repeated his words over and over in your head like a personal mantra.
  882. >He considered you his friend. His only friend.
  883. >He trusted you.
  884. >You were triumphant.
  885. >You had turned him against Twilight, and her friends.
  886. >You had gotten him to rely on you for comfort, companionship, and affection.
  887. >The only thing you haven’t been able to get him to do was relieve your pent up sexual tension, but you had a feeling you would succeed in your efforts soon.
  888. >It wouldn’t be long before Twilight’s life was ruined by her mistakes, and you were on the way to fulfilling your destiny to bring an end to the age of cutie marks.
  889. >And yet… as you internally celebrated your recent victories, you felt something change.
  890. >You felt some of that loneliness from all the previous years fade.
  891. >You felt… genuine happiness.
  892. >Not because you had gotten Anon to accept his role as your puppet.
  893. >Because… he said you were his friend.
  894. >You could tell by the kind look in his eyes that he wasn’t lying to you.
  895. >He had genuinely considered you his friend.
  896. >You… you had a friend?
  897. >After all these years, you had made a friend?
  898. >You felt your triumph over taking advantage of Anonymous slowly fade.
  899. >You had intended to support Anonymous, get him to take your side, and send him off on his way to revenge.
  900. >You didn’t intend to befriend him.
  901. >You.... you didn’t know what to think.
  902. >Evidently, you were not doing a very good job at hiding your shock, as Anonymous’s kind smile slowly faded.
  903. >A look of concern crossed his face as he examined you.
  904. >”Is everything alright, Starlight?”
  905. >Was it?
  906. >It’s been almost twenty years since you had last made a friend.
  907. >And here was somebody ready to fulfill that hole in your life.
  908. >For the first time in years, you felt guilty.
  909. >All this time, you’ve been using Anonymous.
  910. >While he thought you were just trying to be nice, you were trying to take advantage of him for revenge and a quick rut.
  911. >You could feel your lust for revenge telling you to disregard all of this, and to continue on your predetermined path.
  912. >Meanwhile, everything else was screaming at you to accept Anon’s companionship.
  913. >It was too much.
  914. >All that loneliness and depression you had bottled up and ignored over the years, it was beginning to resurface.
  915. >You saw Anon’s eyes widen as tears began to well up in your eyes.
  916. >”Star-”
  917. >You didn’t let him finish.
  918. >You had made up your decision.
  919. >You threw yourself at the man with open hooves, returning his embrace as your buried your muzzle into his chest.
  920. >For the first time in years, you disregarded your lust for revenge.
  921. >You had made a friend!
  922. >The first friend in almost twenty years!
  923. >You hugged him with all your strength, as if you were attempting to crush him to death with your love.
  924. >Anonymous seemed surprised by your actions, but accepted it with big, goofy grin, doing his best to return your full-force hug.
  925. >As the two of you sat there, holding each other, basking in each other’s friendship, you came to a realization.
  926. >...you had to tell him.
  927. >He had to know what your original intentions were.
  928. >You knew he wouldn’t care if you told him the truth, but if your new friend had found out that you had been using him this whole time, you knew he’d think you were still using him.
  929. >Perhaps you were.
  930. >You grimaced at the thought that you might just be using him for companionship as well.
  931. >Reluctantly, you pulled away from the man, a serious look in your eyes as you stared him down.
  932. “Anon… look, before we go any farther, I need to tell you something. Something that I don’t think you’re going to like.”
  933. >He raised a brow at your statement, but motioned you to continue.
  934. “I… I-”
  935. >You didn’t get a chance to finish.
  936. >You caught a glimpse of a light blue flash out of the corner of your eye, before you were forcefully pulled from your chair and thrown onto the ground.
  937. >”Get away from him!”
  938.
  939. >You are Anonymous.
  940. >You spotted Rainbow Dash as she moved towards your table, but you paid her no mind.
  941. >You figured she was just coming over to say hello.
  942. >Not that you wanted her to, but you weren’t going to stop.
  943. >What you didn’t expect her to do was pull your friend from her seat.
  944. >Nor did you expect her to throw Starlight to the ground.
  945. >Or start screaming and wailing on her.
  946. >But the second she did, you were on your feet.
  947. >Across the bar, you spotted a group of your former friends racing towards you, but you didn’t care.
  948. >Your focus was on the mare assaulting your friend.
  949. >The only friend you had at the moment.
  950. >There was no doubt where your loyalties lay at this point.
  951. >The moment you were free from the table, you jumped at rainbow haired mare.
  952. >Wrapping your arms around her sides, you took her down to the ground with you.
  953. >She didn’t struggle. In fact, she seemed surprised by your actions.
  954. >Regardless, you used your weight to pin the mare under you, glaring darkly at her as you asked the one question that weighed down on your mind.
  955. “WHAT, IN THE NAME OF FUCK, ARE YOU DOING?!”
  956. >It took her a second to react, but the moment the mare realized what you asked her, a look of fury overcame her face.
  957. >”WHAT AM I DOING?! I’M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU!”
  958. >You scoffed at her statement, before jumping up to your feet.
  959. “Protecting me?”
  960. >You stepped back, placing yourself between your friend and the blue cunt who was intent on attacking her.
  961. “That’s my fucking friend you’re assaulting, you stupid cunt! How the fuck are you protecting me from her?”
  962. >The look of unadulterated rage on her face was priceless.
  963. >”That ruffian ‘friend’ you’re protecting is a wanted fugitive, Anonymous.”
  964. >Rarity’s posh voice got your attention.
  965. >As you looked her way, you noticed that her and her friends had formed a small semi circle around you and Starlight.
  966. >”...she took advantage of dozens of poor, innocent ponies… and brainwashed them to obey her every whim…”
  967. >”She tried ta steal our cutie marks!”
  968. >”She held us prisoner, you dick! She tried to brainwash us like the rest of her followers!”
  969. >”He poisoned our water supply, burned our crops and delivered a plague unto our houses!”
  970. >All of their words rang hollow in your ears, as you bent down towards Starlight, who was still on the ground, curled up in a protective ball.
  971. >You didn’t care what they had to say, whether they were lying, or if the mare at your feet had actually done all of those terrible things.
  972. >She was your friend, and you would be damned if a group of traitorous cunts turned you against her.
  973. >Starlight flinched at your touch as you placed your hand on her shoulder.
  974. >She didn’t seem too roughed up, but, you doubted she could take a blow like you could.
  975. “You alright?”
  976. >She looked up at you, her eyes filled with fear and shock as she responded.
  977. >”Yeah… I think so…”
  978. >You shot her a reassuring smile, before offering her your hand.
  979. “Come on, let’s get you on your hooves.”
  980. >She shot you a small, grateful smile as she accepted your offer, placing her hoof in your hand.
  981. >You lifted her off the ground and helped her onto her hooves.
  982. >In the background, you still heard a chorus of voices coming from your former friends.
  983. >You didn’t care what they had to say.
  984. >They betrayed you.
  985. >They let you go on for months believing that everything was right in your little fantasy world.
  986. >You could be helping the bastard technocrat who had gotten you here in the first place off the ground for all you cared.
  987. >You weren’t about to give them the time of the day.
  988. >You turned away from your friend and stared down the five mares that had surrounded you, who were still desperately trying to turn your against her.
  989. “Enough!”
  990. >The five of them immediately went silent as you spoke.
  991. “I’m done here.”
  992. >Pulling your friend in close, you pushed through their weak defensive line.
  993. >A couple of them moved to stop you, but with a few harsh glares, you convinced them to stand down and move out of your way.
  994. >As the two of you made for the door, you heard Rainbow Dash cry after you.
  995. >”You’re making a big mistake, Anon!”
  996. >You didn’t listen, nor did you respond.
  997. >You heard the brash mare unleash a battle cry in response to your silence, before she took to the air, flying towards the two of you at mach speed, her right hoof held back as she prepared her strike.
  998. >Remembering the basics of CQC, you turned in time to grab her hoof, preventing it from striking the mare beside you.
  999. >You turned swiftly, and using your momentum, threw Rainbow Dash into a nearby wall.
1000. >You didn’t stick around to see the damage, or what the others would do in response.
1001. >You made a beeline for the exit with Starlight, and slammed the door behind you as you left.
  1002.
1003. >The journey back to Starlight’s house was silent and uneventful.
1004. >The mare kept her mouth shut, looking like a child her got caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
1005. >You had nothing to say, not now, at least.
1006. >For her sake, you weren’t about to question her in public whether or not what your former friends said was true.
1007. >That could draw the wrong type of attention.
1008. >You could do without hurting anybody else for the rest of the day.
1009. >The whole journey was a blur, and before you knew it, you were standing inside Starlight’s cottage.
1010. >Your friend was sitting on her loveseat, her eyes focused on the ground, not willing to look up at you as you stood before her, looking down at her with your arms crossed.
  1011. “Is it true?”
1012. >Her ears flattened against the sides of her skull as she took in your question.
  1013. >”Yes…”
1014. >She looked up from the ground, looking into your eyes.
1015. >Tears were beginning to well up in hers as she opened her mouth to speak.
1016. >”They said more than their fair share of slanderous lies, but for the most part, they were being truthful. From their perspective, at least.”
1017. >You raised a brow at her statement.
1018. “I want the truth, Starlight. Give it to me.”
1019. >You opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated.
1020. >Assuming she was afraid of your reaction, you knelt down before her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder as you offered her a small, reassuring smile.
1021. “Look, I can guarantee you whatever you’ve done, it pales in comparison to the shit I’ve done before I showed up in Equestria. I’m no place to judge you. ”
  1022. >”You promise?”
1023. >She looked at you with those wide, pleading eyes, still red from earlier.
  1024. “I promise.”
  1025.
  1026. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
1027. >You felt yourself become trapped in Anonymous’s eyes, unable to look away, no matter how hard you tried.
1028. >You had to admit, you were afraid.
1029. >You were afraid you would lose the first friend you made in almost twenty years when you told him the truth.
1030. >About your past, about who you are, and how you were using him to get back at Twilight up until now.
1031. >”I… I founded a small village, in the outskirts of Equestria. The idea behind it was simple… it would be a utopia where nopony had their cutie marks, and everypony was equal.”
1032. >You let out a small frustrated sigh as you remembered everything that those five bitches spewed about you, and your utopia.
1033. ”Believe me, I never brainwashed any of the ponies who lived in my village. I just took in wayward lonely souls, and they naturally fell in line with my ideology.”
1034. >You grimaced as your remember how everything fell apart.
1035. ”Our village was still young and just beginning to thrive when we were visited by ponies. Foreign ponies. Your wife, and her friends.”
1036. >You felt a tinge of anger at the thought of them, but you did your best to ignore it, continuing on with your tale.
1037. ”I tried to show them our ways and the errors of theirs, but they didn’t understand. When I tried to ‘persuade’ them, they turned the villagers against me. They ran me out of the utopia I built with my own hooves, had me declared a terrorist by the Equestrian government. I was exiled, and my lust for revenge had only began to take hold.”
1038. >You felt your lust for revenge begin to take hold once again as you lurched forward and grabbed onto the human.
1039. “Your wife ruined my life, Anonymous! She was the one who ruined everything I built, and had me exiled! Turned my own ponies against me!”
1040. >He flinched as you got face to face with him, only leaving mere centimeters between you and him.
1041. “You feel it too, DON’T YOU?! That lust for revenge! Twilight stabbed you in the back, lied for you for months on end, and now you want to get back at her!”
1042. >As you hold onto the human, letting your lust for revenge do the talking, you remembered the other lies you still hadn’t told Anonymous about.
1043. >You needed to tell him, even if neither of you would like the words that were about to come out of your mouth.
1044. “For years, I’ve spied on Twilight, working in the background to prepare my ultimate revenge against her. You… initially, you were just an innocent bystander, then… when I found out about her betrayal, I knew I had to seek you out. I had to get you to seek revenge, so I could have my own.”
  1045. >”So… you used me?”
1046. >His question hit you hard, but you nodded reluctantly.
  1047. “Yes… I’m sorry, Anon.”
1048. >A look of deep shame overtook your face, as you finally broke eye contact with Anon, looking back down at the ground..
1049. “You’re my friend. You’re… you’re the first friend I’ve had in almost twenty years. I’m not interested in using you for my own personal revenge anymore. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you walked out of here and never talked to me again… I just wanted you to know the truth.”
  1050.
1051. >Silence reigned as you told Anonymous the truth behind your relationship with him.
1052. >It didn’t matter how you felt about him now.
  1053. >You had used him.
1054. >You were using him to get back at Twilight, to get back at her friends, and to get back at Equestria at large.
1055. >You were going to use him for sexual gratification, and other selfish desires.
1056. >You didn’t mention that last bit, but you knew that he more than likely figured that bit out as well.
1057. >You expected him to lash out at you, to scream at you, to beat you senseless, or just get up and walk out of there.
1058. >You expected Anonymous to do a million different things, all ending with him rejecting you.
  1059. >Rightfully so.
1060. >What you didn’t expect was Anon to gently grasp your chin, lifting your head up so you could meet his eyes.
  1061. >”Starlight…”
1062. >He hesitated, as if thinking of what to think next.
1063. >”I don’t care if you originally intended on using me as a puppet. Twilight… she sent both of us to Hell.”
1064. >A look of determination and righteous fury appeared in his eyes as he stared into yours.
1065. >”We’re going even deeper, taking back everything we’ve lost! We’re in this together, Starlight. We are both demons.”
  1066.
  1067. >You are Anonymous.
1068. >You found yourself staring in the eyes of your friend.
  1069. >You last remaining friend.
1070. >She, too, had been sent to Hell by Twilight.
  1071. >She was, too, a demon.
1072. >Regardless of her original intentions for approaching you, for better or worse, the two of you were in this together.
1073. >You might have been sent to Hell, but you were going to dig ever deeper, take back everything that you lost when she played you like a damn fiddle.
1074. >You could feel it, burning inside of you.
  1075. >That lust for revenge.
  1076. >Such a lust it was.
1077. >You turned your attention back to Starlight.
1078. “So… where do we go from here?”
1079. >The mare blinked, still apparently reeling from the recent events.
1080. >Her eyes suddenly widened as she opened her mouth to speak.
1081. >”We need to get out of here! Right now!”
1082. >You raised a brow at her sudden outburst.
  1083. “What do you-”
1084. >”Anon! I’ve been compromised! The Guard are probably on their way right now!”
1085. >She jumped up from her couch, shifting her focus away from you and over to a dusty collection of boxes and folders that sat in the corner.
1086. >”I have all my notes and plans stored here. This cottage is literally a mountain of evidence against me.”
1087. >Her horn lit up with a bright blue aura as the smell of Ozone filled the air.
1088. >As she charged up her horn, she grabbed two things.
1089. >Her cloak, and a pair of aviator sunglasses.
1090. >”I can’t let them get their hooves on any of it!”
1091. >You were suddenly blinded by a bright flash, and the next thing you knew, you were outside the cottage, on your hands and knees, puking up the half-digested remains of your lunch.
  1092. >”Anon, are you okay?!”
1093. >You tried to spit the taste of vomit out of your mouth, but to no avail.
  1094. “J-just fucking peachy…”
1095. >Teleportation was never kind to you. Especially if it was a surprise.
1096. >Surprise teleportations usually ended with wasted meals.
1097. >However, before you could mourn the loss of Maxi-bun’s burger, your nose caught a whiff of something.
  1098. >Smoke.
1099. >You poked your head up from between your arms, spotting large amounts of smoke billowing out from the windows of Starlight’s cottage.
1100. >The mare stood at your side, now wearing her cloak and sunglasses as she watched her home burn to the ground.
1101. >The sight of her reminded you of somebody from back home, someone who, like you, answered the call for wet-work.
1102. >The two of you might not have been friends, unlike you and Starlight, just two individuals following somebody greater than yourselves, but you still held great respect for the great Hell Master.
1103. >A heart wrenching sigh from the mare that stood before you pulled you from your memories.
  1104. >”I’m going to miss this place…”
1105. >She turned to face you, shooting you a smile as she peered at you over her shades.
1106. >”But, I suppose we could build a new place for ourselves, after we have our revenge.”
1107. >And with that, she turned towards the Everfree, and began trotting in that general direction.
1108. >”Come on, Anon! Someone will spot smoke, we don’t have much time!”
  1109. “Right.”
1110. >You got yourself together, and quickly caught up with the mare, before taking your place at her side.
1111. “So… where are we going?”
1112. >You flashed her a curious look as she looked up to you, opening her mouth to speak.
1113. >”I have a contact in the media that we’re going to meetup with in Manehattan. With her help, we’ll be able to get revenge against Twilight.”
1114. >You eyed her, your face expressing your confusion.
1115. “Media? How is the media going to help us?”
1116. >A smug grin spread across her muzzle at your question.
1117. >”Do you have any idea what type of controversy you could stir up if you told the press about your wife being involved in an affair?”
1118. >You thought over her question for a few moments.
  1119. “I really hadn’t thought about it…”
1120. >Your response garnered a smirk from the mare.
1121. >”Trust me, Anon, it’d be a big deal. Twilight is the Princess of Friendship. Her cheating on you goes against EVERYTHING her title stands for.”
1122. >A coy grin spread across her muzzle.
1123. >”It would completely ruin her reputation.”
  1124. >Made sense.
1125. >You were expecting your revenge to be more… hands on.
1126. >That’s what you were experienced with.
1127. >But, you supposed destroying her image and exposing her betrayal to the world would satisfy your lust for revenge as much as going nuclear would.
1128. “Alright, sounds good to me.”
1129. >You paused, as you examined the foreboding, monster infested forest that you were rapidly approaching.
1130. >You were rather ill equipped to journey through the Everfree, and the last thing you wanted to do was teleport to Manehattan.
1131. >Long distance teleportation was extremely dangerous. Just teleporting a few feet was enough to mess anyone who wasn’t a powerful magic user.
1132. >You stopped in your steps, allowing Starlight to continue on for a few feets before speaking up.
1133. “Starlight, I need to grab some things, first.”
1134. >She stopped in her tracks, turning to face you, eyeing you with a raised brow.
1135. >”We can’t go back, Anon. At this point, we’re both fugitives.”
  1136. >You shook your head.
1137. “Don’t worry, my stuff’s up ahead, on the outskirts of the Everfree. It won’t take long to grab.”
1138. >She remained silent for a few moments, seemingly debating whether or not to go along with your request in her head, before nodding hesitantly.
1139. >”Alright, Anon. I trust this stop will be worth it?”
  1140. >You nodded with a smile.
1141. “Yeah, trust me, it’ll help us in the long run.”
  1142.
  1143. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
1144. >After being forced to teleport your friends away, you decided that moving to your bedroom would be a better spot for finding seclusion.
1145. >You didn’t want to deal with anybody, save for maybe the ones you loved.
1146. >Flash knew better to visit the castle, though, and you knew there was no way Anonymous was going to visit you anytime soon.
1147. >It would be a while before he came back for answers.
1148. >In the meantime, you wanted to be alone, so maybe, you could figure out the answers for yourself.
1149. >You loved Anonymous, much more than he thought you did.
1150. >The idea of him leaving you tore you apart on the inside.
1151. >You didn’t want to live without him.
1152. >You wanted him to be at your side till the very end.
1153. >So, you were brought to the question that had been haunting you ever since Anonymous had left.
1154. >Why, in the name of Celestia, did you decide it would be a good idea to not only sleep around behind your beloved husband’s back, but also fall in love with another stallion?
1155. >You were supposed to stick together for life if you got married, and remain loyal to each other.
1156. >You vowed to Princess Celestia herself that you would do this until you were separated by death.
1157. >But, that didn’t stop from betraying him when you ran into an old flame of yours.
1158. >You had originally met Flash Sentry during one of your visits to the Crystal Empire, back when you first became a princess.
1159. >The two of you dated for a couple months, but you split up because of the distance.
1160. >Then, years later, he showed up in Ponyville, looking to rekindle your relationship, despite knowing you were a married mare.
  1161. >You should’ve said no, but… you didn’t.
1162. >You went out with him when Anonymous wasn’t around to find out, and let him rut you later that night.
1163. >You felt sick to your stomach the entire time, knowing damn well it was wrong, but at the same time, it felt so… right.
1164. >Overtime, that sickened feeling had faded, and all that had remained was the love you felt for the stallion.
  1165. >Until today.
1166. >That sickness had returned with a vengeance, and now all you felt was guilt.
1167. >Guilt, and a strong sense of regret.
1168. >You didn’t know if you regretted the decision to get involved with Flash again, or if you regretted letting Anonymous find out about your affair, but you definitely felt it.
  1169.
1170. >A soft knock at the door shook you from your internal debate, much to your annoyance.
  1171. >”Twilight, open up! Please!”
1172. >Rarity’s posh begging was like nails on a chalkboard to your ears.
1173. >The last thing you were in the mood for was relationship advice, especially from a mare who couldn’t hold down a relationship for a single week.
  1174. “Go! Away!”
  1175. >”Darling, it’s-”
1176. >”UGH! WE DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS, RARITY!”
1177. >Seconds after Rainbow Dash’s raspy voice interrupted the alabaster unicorn, your previously locked bedroom door was bucked open.
1178. >You felt your anger begin to rise like a fire at the sight.
1179. >Not because of the damaged door you’d have to get fixed, but because your peace was, once again, being disturbed.
1180. “CAN’T YOU TAKE A HINT!? I WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE!”
1181. >Rainbow Dash ignored your screeching as she trotted up to you, looking slightly worse for wear.
1182. >Well, that was a bit of an understatement.
1183. >She looked like somebody had just gotten done kicking the snout out of her.
1184. >”I understand you want to cry in your room all day, but this is important.”
1185. >You opened your mouth to tell her off, but judging by the expression on the mare’s face, that might have been a wrong call.
1186. “Fine. What do you want, Rainbow Dash?”
1187. >Your tone earned you a harsh glare, but nonetheless, she gave you an answer.
1188. >”Your husband’s been making nice with that bitch who tried to brainwash us a couple years back.”
  1189. >...!
1190. >Anonymous was with Starlight Glimmer?!
  1191. >There was no way.
1192. >You knew he was upset, but would he go that far…?
  1193. “Are you sure?!”
1194. >She shot you an annoyed glare at your question, but motioned to herself.
1195. >”Look at me! Do you think I did this to myself?!”
1196. “I mean… you do have a tendency to flying things-”
1197. >You shut up immediately as the pegasus grabbed you and pulled you in close, growling as she glared into your eyes with the intensity of a thousand suns.
1198. >”YOUR FUCKING HUSBAND THREW ME INTO A WALL!”
1199. >The mare tossed you back onto your bed as she stared you down.
1200. >”I don’t know if she’s brainwashed him, or if he’s willingly let himself into some fucking demon asshole, but… we need to do something, Twilight.”
  1201. >You nodded in agreement.
1202. >You might have fucked up your marriage, but there was no way you were letting a terrorist like Starlight take advantage of Anonymous.
1203. >No matter what her plan was, you were going to put a stop to it.
1204. >Putting an immediate end to your moping, you jumped up from your bed, meeting your friend’s gaze.
1205. “Alright, let’s go find them!”
1206. >Rainbow’s harsh features lightened as a smirk crossed her muzzle.
1207. >”Now, that’s more like it! Come on, the Guards are just beginning to search for them.”
  1208.
  1209. >You are Anonymous.
1210. >When you first showed up in Equestria, you had rather quickly came to realize that, unlike your world, there was no call for wet-work here, and there was really no need to keep your equipment on you at all times.
1211. >As a precaution, you hid your equipment outside of Ponyville, in case you needed it in the future, however unlikely you thought that scenario was.
1212. >Was is the key word.
1213. >Now, you were on the run with a wanted fugitive, about to flee into monster infested forest, with what you imagined would be a large number of Royal Guards hunting you down.
1214. >You were thankful you decided to stash most of your stuff outside of the village, instead of keeping it close to you.
1215. >Otherwise, you would be completely unprepared for the treacherous journey that awaited you and your companion.
1216. >It didn’t take you long to hunt down the spot where your buried all your equipment.
1217. >You had hidden it well, but you also use natural landmarks to clearly mark it’s location for yourself, so you wouldn’t forget.
1218. >As you reached the buried cache, it occurred to you that you lacked the shovel to dig it up.
1219. >Luckily, Starlight was more than willing to use her magic to unearth your equipment.
1220. >After a few short moments, you were dragging a heavy, well built wooden crate out of the earth, bringing it up to the surface.
1221. >”What’s in the box, Anon?”
1222. >You met Starlight’s curious gaze with a small smile as you popped the case open.
1223. “Just some equipment from my past, plus a few things I was missing I had custom made over the past couple years.”
1224. >Looking away from the mare, you peered into the crate, taking in the relics of your past.
1225. >You reached inside, gripping the suit you had showed up in Equestria wearing and yanking it from the container.
1226. >You held it up in the light, taking note of the blood stains you were never able to get out of it.
1227. >What you held in your hands was a prototype of what was supposed to be the next generation of sneaking suits, something the Boss himself would’ve ended up wearing.
1228. >Would’ve being the key word.
1229. >You were in the middle of testing it when Cipher launched a surprise attack against Mother Base, using the IAEA inspection as a cover.
1230. >You, of course, didn’t have time to switch out of it, opting to grab your rifle and join your comrades in the doomed defense of Mother Base.
1231. >You were stuck on one of the last struts, staging a last stand with Miller and your other comrades when the Boss’s Hind returned to base.
1232. >You and the others fell back to the chopper under heavy fire, your last few comrades falling around you one by one.
1233. >Just as you reached the helicopter, you caught a round to your chest, and was sent flying into the boss’s arms.
1234. >That was the last thing you remembered from before you woke up in Outer Heaven, miraculously uninjured despite the fact you had apparently just been shot, still having all your equipment from the defense on your person.
1235. >Unfortunately, the one thing you kept at home was your rifle, and there was no way you were going back to get it.
1236. >Besides, you’d much rather avoid any unnecessary violence.
1237. >You supposed that showing up here in a sneaking suit rather than your usual fatigues was a hidden blessing.
1238. >You stripped down to your skivvies, being sure to give the mare who was waiting on you an eyeful before donning the sneaking suit as quickly as possible.
1239. >With that out of the way, you took a moment to examine the rest of the crate’s contents.
1240. >Inside was a rucksack you had custom made, that was filled with roughly a week’s supply of food and water, as well as the standard assortment of ALICE equipment.
1241. >There was also your old combat knife lying on top of everything, it’s shiny, metallic blade shining in the sunlight.
1242. >In a worst case scenario, this alone would give a major advantage over anything that wasn’t something with range, or a monster on the level of a dragon.
1243. >You figured you were enough of a demon to deal with anything else.
1244. >Grabbing your ruck, an individual equipment belt, and your knife, you left the rest in the crate, and kicked it back into the hole Starlight dug.
1245. >Taking a moment to put everything on, you turned towards the mare, before motioning towards the Everfree.
1246. “I’m set. Let’s get moving before anyone decides to catch up with us.”
1247. >She nodded, and together, the two of you continued on your way.
  1248.
  1249. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
1250. >After throwing a few necessities into your saddle bags and tossing them on, you departed your castle with Rainbow Dash, making your way towards the outskirts of Ponyville, following a rapidly greying smoke trail in the air.
1251. >It was going to be just you and your brash friend this time.
1252. >As far as you knew, Equestria was in no danger, so, you told everybody to stay home and tend to their responsibilities.
1253. >Dash, ever loyal, refused to follow your instructions.
1254. >A small smile crossed your face at her decision.
1255. >Despite all your disagreements over how you handled your relationship with Anon, she was still by your side, unwilling to betray you.
1256. >She was a true friend, refusing to leave your side even under the most extreme circumstances.
1257. >After a short, uneventful flight, the two of you landed by the smoldering remains of a small cottage that a group of Royal Guards and fire ponies were busy sifting through.
1258. >As you took in the scene, you were hit by a question.
1259. >What if… what if Anonymous was in there?
1260. >You were struck with a sudden sense of dread, and you immediately rushed forward, not listening to Rainbow Dash as she called after you to stop.
1261. >You spotted an officer surveying the scene, and immediately made a bee-line for him.
  1262. “Lieutenant!”
1263. >His posture immediately straightened at your voice, as he turned about, snapping to attention.
  1264. >”P-Princess Twilight!”
1265. >You heard Rainbow Dash grumble something about ‘fucking boot Lieutenants”, but you paid her no mind.
1266. >There were much, much more important things on your mind.
  1267. “My husband! Where’s my husband! W-was he…”
  1268. >He shook his head.
1269. >”No ma’am, all we found in the rubble was ash. No bodies, or evidence, sadly.”
  1270. >He shot you a reassuring smile.
1271. >”Don’t worry, your highness, we picked up their trail. We’ll find him and the terrorist that’s keeping him company soon enough.”
1272. >You felt your sense of dread fade as you beamed at the young, colt faced officer.
1273. “Thank you, thank you, thank you! Come on, let’s get on our-”
1274. >”Woah Princess, slow down! I’m not going in that forest until our backup arrives.”
  1275. “Backup?”
1276. >You looked around, spotting at least a platoon of Royal Guards milling about the area, searching for clues and patrolling the nearby area.
1277. “We have plenty of ponies! We don’t need backup!”
  1278. >He shook his head.
1279. >”There’s too many unknowns involved. Ignoring all the usual dangers of the Everfree, we’re chasing after an extremely power magic user, and your husband, according to his files, is assumed to have some form of combat experience, despite his denial of this. Considering the fact he showed up in a blood covered uniform, I’d say he was lying to us.”
1280. >You raised a brow at the officer’s last comments.
1281. “Do you mean to tell me you intend to subdue my husband?”
  1282. >He nodded, hesitantly.
1283. >”He may be a member of the royal family, and your husband, but judging by what I heard from your friend over there, I doubt he’s being held by Starlight Glimmer against his will. And… judging by her injuries, neither of them are going to go down without a fight.”
1284. >You took in his words with a frown.
1285. “Don’t… don’t hurt my husband, Lieutenant. Please, he’s just going through a hard time…”
1286. >A look of pity overcame the officer’s face.
1287. >”I can’t promise you that we won’t, Princess. I’m sorry… the rest of the Ponyville garrison and backup from Cloudsdale will be arriving shortly. We can go after them the moment they arrive.”
1288. >He turned away from you, going back to what he was doing previously.
1289. >You let out a dismayed sigh as he trotted away.
1290. >You… you did this. This was your fault.
1291. >You couldn’t let them hurt your husband, when it was your mistakes that got him in the position he is in now.
1292. >A cocky snort emanated for your brash friend, signalling she felt the same way.
1293. >”Come on, Twilight, we don’t need to wait on this ‘fresh out of OCS’ boot Lieutenant. We can handle things on our own. Let’s hurry and get out of here so we can catch up with them before the Guard does.”
1294. >You felt a smile cross your face at your friend’s determination, before nodding in agreement.
1295. “You’re right. We’ve been in worse situations, right?”
1296. >The mare nodded, shooting you a smug smirk.
  1297. >”You’re damn right. Let’s get moving!”
  1298. “Right, let’s-”
  1299. >”Twilight!”
  1300.
1301. >A new, familiar voice interrupted you.
1302. >You immediately turned towards the source of the voice, spotting one of the members of the fire brigade trotting over to you.
1303. >Most of his body was covering up by his PPE, but you could pick out just a bit of his orange coat and a few locks of his blue mane behind his gas mask.
  1304. “F-Flash?!”
1305. >He took a second to remove his helmet and mask, before flashing you a pleasant grin.
  1306. >”Hey babe.”
1307. >For a moment, you allowed yourself to forget the dreadful situation you had found yourself in, rushing to your lover’s side and throwing yourself at him.
1308. >You didn’t care about the fact he was covered in soot and ash.
1309. >You just wanted to be held in his comforting hooves.
1310. >He was quick to return your embrace, planting a soft kiss on your cheek.
  1311. >”I missed you…”
1312. >You smiled, giving the stallion an affectionate nuzzle.
1313. “I missed you too, Flash.”
1314. >You pulled away from him, regarding him with a questioning glance.
1315. “What are you doing here?”
1316. >He met your question with a smirk.
1317. >”My job, of course. I am a firepony, after all.”
1318. >He raised a curious brow at you.
1319. >”So, why are you out here?”
1320. >His question brought you back to reality.
1321. >That sickened feeling in your gut returned as you pushed away from the stallion, remembering the situation you were in.
  1322. “I-I… I’m trying to find Anonymous…”
1323. >You turned your attention towards the dark, foreboding forest in the distance.
  1324. “He’s in there… somewhere… with Starlight Glimmer…”
1325. >”You mean that mare who tried to brainwash you a couple years back? It seemed pretty odd that there was entire platoon of Royal Guards deployed in response to a possible case of arson...”
1326. >You nodded in response to his question.
1327. “I need to find him, Flash!”
1328. >You felt a deep pain in your chest as you thought about the events of the past day, and the dark future that awaited you if you didn’t act quickly.
1329. >Things were beginning to take it’s toll on you, and you found yourself beginning to lose your composure.
  1330. “I-I can’t- s-she-!”
  1331. >”Hey…”
1332. >Flash Sentry approached you, once more wrapping his comforting hooves around you.
1333. >That sickened feeling slowly disappeared, and you allowed yourself to melt into his hooves.
1334. >”Look… I’m not a big fan of Anon… but I’ll help you two find him and bring him back… I can’t stand seeing you like this…”
1335. >He pulled back just enough to flash you a kind smile.
1336. >”Besides, there’s no way I’m letting you go off alone in that forest, powerful alicorn or not.”
1337. >You felt a smile cross your face at his comment, as leaned in, pressing a soft kiss on his lips.
  1338. “Thanks…”
1339. >You heard your friend clear her throat.
1340. >You looked her way, spotting her looking at the two of you with an annoyed expression.
1341. >”We done here? We need to get moving.”
1342. >The two of you separated, and your lover quickly stripped off the rest of his PPE, leaving only the dark uniform that he wore underneath.
1343. >”Alright, let’s get this show on the road. If the Guard catch up to him before us…”
1344. >You nodded, getting where he was going.
  1345. “It’ll be messy…”
1346. >The stallion stretched out his wings.
1347. >”We’ll cover more ground if we go airborne, come on!”
1348. >He flapped his wings and took off into the air.
1349. >You noticed a small grin appear on Rainbow Dash’s face.
1350. >”You know, I still think the guy’s a fucking prick, but I do at least like his train of thought.”
1351. >With that, she too took off, flying after the orange pegasus who was waiting on the two of you.
1352. >You flapped your wings and launched off the ground, doing your best to catch up with the two.
  1353.
  1354. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
1355. >You were about a mile into your trek into the Everfree when Anon held up his fist, signalling you to stop.
1356. >You raised a brow at his behavior, as he looked towards the sky.
1357. >Before you could react, he grabbed you, hefting you up in one arm and covering your mouth with the other, before pressing his body up against a nearby tree.
1358. >It took you a few moments for you pick up on what had spooked the man.
1359. >You heard the flapping of wings, and the sound was growing louder and louder as the source flew closer to your position.
1360. >Peaking up from the treeline, you spotted two very familiar ponies, and well as an orange pegasus you didn’t recognize, flying in a loose ‘v’ formation as the flew on past your position, not noticing the two of you in hiding.
1361. >Wait… that wasn’t right… you knew that stallion from somewhere.
  1362. >”That mother fucker…”
1363. >Anon’s words came out as a low growl as he watched them disappear behind the treeline.
  1364. >Ah.
1365. >That’s where you knew him from.
1366. >Not only were that bitch princess and that cunt her attacked you look for the two of you, but so was the stallion that Twilight had been sleeping around behind Anon’s back with.
1367. >As soon as he knew they were gone, he released you, gently setting you back on the ground.
1368. >He knelt down and leaned towards you, placing his lips right beside your ear.
1369. >A shiver ran up and down your spine as his hot breath ran down your neck.
  1370. >”How much farther before we’re within teleportation range…?”
1371. >His words came out as a barely audible whisper, just loud enough for you to hear.
1372. “About four miles… even then… it’d still be extremely dangerous to teleport from that distance…”
1373. >The man grimaced just slightly, before letting out a sigh of resignation.
  1374. >”I don’t think we’ll have a choice in the matter…”
1375. >He scratched at his chin as he continued to speak.
1376. >”Not only are those three looking for us, so is that platoon of Guards we saw hanging out your cottage… and since they weren’t going anywhere… my guess is they’re waiting on reinforcements to show up… we’re going to be forced to move slowly to avoid detection by their air forces… eventually, their ground forces will catch up with us….”
  1377. >He shot you a question look.
1378. >”Look… I don’t intend on it coming to this… but if they find us… will you be ready to fight…?”
1379. >You flashed him a cocky smirk, before responding in a sing song whisper.
  1380. “Don’t worry, I know more than a few offensive spells~”
1381. >He nodded, seemingly satisfied with your answer.
1382. >”Alright… let’s keep moving… move slowly, stick to the trees… avoid moving in the open unless you needed to…”
  1383. >You shot him a reassuring smile.
1384. “Don’t worry, I’ve done more than my fair share of sneaking around…”
1385. >With that out of the way, you continued on your way, moving from tree to tree, keeping your eyes to the sky as Anonymous followed close behind.
  1386.
  1387. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
1388. >It had been a good few hours since you had began your search for Anonymous and Starlight Glimmer.
1389. >Your hopes of getting to him before the Royal Guard moved in had been dashed, as they had finally moved in and began their manhunt about an hour ago.
1390. >Armored pegasi filled the sky, with even a few Wonderbolts mixed in, while groups of standard Earth ponies and unicorns patrolled the forest below.
1391. >You admittedly didn’t know much about Anonymous’s past, but you did know that the assumption that he used to be a soldier was correct.
1392. >He didn’t tell you much, no matter how much you tried to get him to, but he confirmed that much.
1393. >If he didn’t want to be found, you doubted the Guards were going to find them, let alone your small party.
1394. >You stopped mid-flight, hovering in the air as you peered at the setting Sun in the distance.
1395. >The moment the Sun disappeared, you knew your group would be practically useless.
1396. >Even more useless than you felt you were now.
1397. >Flash and Dash noticed that you had fallen out of formation and circled back, coming to a stop before you.
  1398. >”Something up, Twilight?”
1399. >You didn’t respond to the question, just keeping your eyes on the setting Sun.
1400. >After a few long moments of silence, you sighed, and faced your two companions.
1401. “Let’s head back. We’ll keep looking for Anon again tomorrow.”
1402. >Rainbow Dash opened her mouth to protest, but stopped herself from doing so, nodding in compliance.
1403. >The three of you changed direction and began the journey home, that empty feeling in your chest bugging you the entire flight home.
1404. >You were going to get your husband back, no matter what.
  1405.
  1406. >You are Anonymous.
1407. >Day had been replaced by night over the past couple hours, bringing with it the cover of darkness.
1408. >With it also came a severe temperature drop.
1409. >Winters were particularly fierce in Equestria, with temperatures dropping below the freezing point once the Sun set.
1410. >Once again, you were thankful that you arrived in Equestria with a sneaking suit, and not your usual fatigues.
1411. >These things were designed to deal with harsh, inclement weather.
  1412. >Your companion, however, wasn’t so lucky.
1413. >Her light coat and the cloak she wore to conceal her identity wasn’t nearly enough to keep the cold from biting at her.
1414. >You had to find shelter, and fast.
1415. >Otherwise, your friend would freeze to death.
1416. >Wordlessly, you closed the distance between you and the shivering mare.
1417. >She jumped slightly as you wrapped your arm around her midsection.
1418. >You lifted her off the ground, bringing her up to your chest, moving your hands down to her flanks to support her.
1419. >Starlight apparently picked up on what you were doing, almost immediately latching onto you, wrapping both of her sets of hooves around you.
1420. >She pressed her shivering body against yours, burying her muzzle into your neck as she revelled in your warmth.
  1421. >”T-Thank you…”
1422. >You felt a small smile cross your face as she gifted you with a grateful nuzzle.
1423. >But her shivering body and the bite of the cold on your face reminded you of the dangerous situation the two of you have found yourselves in.
1424. >You continued onwards, shifting your focus from avoiding enemy patrols to finding somewhere to hold up in.
  1425.
1426. >You searched for what seemed like hours, but eventually, you came across a cabin.
1427. >You took a few minutes to scout it out.
1428. >It looked in surprisingly good shape, but it was clearly uninhabited.
1429. >The only issue was, it was out in the open, completely exposed to both the patrolling pegasi above, and any ground forces that happened to come through this area.
1430. >You would be taking a major risk holding up in that cabin.
1431. >But… by not taking shelter, you took a bigger risk.
  1432. >You risked your only friend’s life.
1433. >She wasn’t equipped to deal with the cold like you were.
1434. >The warmth of your body only helped so much, and it wouldn’t be long before she went hypothermic.
1435. >Your lust for revenge pushed to keep going, to not do anything that would risk giving away your position to those who were searching for you.
1436. >But… as much as you wanted to get back at Twilight for her betrayal, you couldn’t let your friend die.
1437. >If she did, all that you’d have to keep you company was your lust for vengeance.
1438. >You let out a sigh of resignation as you came to a decision.
1439. >Risking getting captured would be worth getting Starlight to shelter.
1440. >You took a few moments to make sure the coast was clear, before rushing towards the cabin.
1441. >It only took you a few seconds to reach the structure, but every second you were exposed seemed to stretch on for eternity.
1442. >Flattening yourself against the cabin walls, you looked towards to sky, looking to see if any of your pursuers caught you on the move.
1443. >Nothing, you were still clear.
1444. >You moved for the door, and, hoping your good luck would hold up, tried the handle.
  1445. >Locked.
  1446. >You grunted with annoyance.
1447. >You had nothing to pick the lock with, and forcing your way in would only draw attention to you.
1448. >You looked down, noticing the welcome mat that you were standing on.
1449. >You knelt down, moving one hand out from underneath Starlight’s flank and lifted it up.
  1450. >Underneath it lay a small key.
1451. >You couldn’t help but smile triumphantly as you grabbed the key from the ground, stood back up, unlocked the door, and push it open.
  1452. >This was too easy.
1453. >Cautiously, you entered the cabin.
1454. >You were greeted by it’s comforting warmth.
1455. >It was easily thirty degrees warmer inside.
  1456. >Perfect.
1457. >You glanced about, noting that everything had a thick layer of dust on it, confirming that the building was, in fact, abandoned.
1458. >You closed the door behind you, taking a moment to lock it, before walking further inside.
1459. >As you did so, you spotted something odd sitting on a desk sitting in the corner of the room.
1460. >Putting Starlight down on a slightly dusty couch, much to her disappointment, you moved to get a closer look.
1461. >On the desk sat a collection of comm equipment.
1462. >Older looking stuff, but it looked government issue.
  1463. >Odd…
1464. >You noted a clipboard sitting beside all the comm equipment.
1465. >You picked it up and examined the papers that it held.
1466. >It was a sign in sheet, apparently used for clocking hours. According to the heading, this cabin was apparently used by Equestrian Rangers.
1467. >That explained the government issued comm equipment.
1468. >According to the sign in sheet, the last time somebody had been here was six months ago.
1469. >You assumed that meant you shouldn’t expect any visitors.
1470. >You placed the clipboard back down on the desk, before looking around for anything else that could be useful.
  1471. >...!
1472. >There! A post-it note attached to the radio transmitters.
1473. >You grabbed it, taking a moment to examine the small piece of paper.
1474. >On it was a small list of radio channels.
1475. >You felt a small smile tug at the corners of your mouth as you remembered the codec you had on you.
1476. >Using these, if they worked, you could keep track of the enemy’s communications.
1477. >You took a moment to upload the frequencies to your iDroid, before starting to go through them one by one.
1478. >The first couple channels were nothing but static, but upon trying the fourth frequency, you got something.
1479. >”...cking in, no signs of either of the fugitives in our sector, over.”
  1480. >Success!
1481. >You listened in for a few more minutes, but after about a dozen check ins with nothing interesting to report, you decided to check up on Starlight.
1482. >Shoving the post it note in one of the pouches attached to your belt, you wandered over to the couch you had set Starlight down on earlier.
1483. >Though she was still shivering, she greeted with a small smile.
  1484. “You feeling better?”
  1485. >”Just a bit… still a bit cold, though.”
1486. >She sniffled slightly, rubbing at her runny nose.
  1487. >”Come… sit with me…”
1488. >She offered you a cheeky smile as she patted the spot beside her.
1489. >You nodded, shrugging off your pack and dropping it to the floor as you plopped down beside the mare.
1490. >As you opened it up and began to rummage through it, you noticed the mare beside you begin to creep closer to you.
1491. >You grabbed a blanket out of your pack, before turning to face your friend, only for her to jump into your lap.
1492. >She threw her hooves around your neck as she flashed you a grateful smile.
1493. >”Thanks for looking out for me, Anon~”
1494. >You returned her grin, throwing the blanket over the two of you, before digging your hands under the fabric, wrapping your arms around her back.
1495. “No problem. I gotta look out for my friend, right?”
1496. >A light giggle escaped her lips, before she leaned forward, giving you a small kiss on your cheek.
  1497. >”I suppose so, Anon.”
1498. >She gave you an affectionate nuzzle, before burying her face into your neck.
  1499. >”Good night, Anon.”
1500. >You felt your smile increase in size just a tad bit as tightened your grip on the mare.
  1501. “Night, Starlight.”
  1502.
  1503. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
1504. >For the first time in over a year, there’s a new body in your bed.
1505. >Despite your love for him, you had never let Flash anywhere near the castle.
1506. >You didn’t want Anon to get suspicious.
1507. >This would be the first time you had spent the night with him, having always returned later in the evening to return to your husband.
  1508. >But… now, it didn’t matter.
  1509. >Anon knew.
1510. >He had ran away from you, from his friends, from his entire life.
1511. >Now he was on the run, with a terrorist who wanted you dead.
1512. >The whole ordeal left you in a bad way.
1513. >So when Flash asked if he could stay over, you eagerly hopped on the opportunity.
1514. >You would much rather be held by Anon right now… but the loving touch of Flash would do.
1515. >You revelled in his warmth as the two of you held each other in your bed.
1516. >For the first time since Anon first confronted you, you allowed yourself to relax.
1517. >”We’re going to find him, Twilight. Don’t worry.”
1518. >The stallion shot you a reassuring smile that got the butterflies in your stomach going.
  1519. “I hope so… if the Guard find him…”
  1520. >”He’ll be fine.”
  1521. “I’m not worried about Anon, Flash…”
1522. >You let out a sigh, gripping on the stallion tighter.
1523. >”Look, we’ll find him before they do. Don’t worry about it. Let’s just try to get some sleep, yeah?”
1524. >You shot your coltfriend a small smile as you nuzzled him affectionately.
1525. “Alright, I’ll take your word for it.”
  1526.
  1527. >You are Flash Sentry.
1528. >As you looked down at the mare who was asleep in your hooves, you felt a triumphant grin spread across your face.
  1529. >You had done it.
1530. >You had scared off Anonymous.
1531. >You had Twilight all yourself now.
1532. >When you sent that letter to him, telling him all about how you have been fucking his wife behind his back for all these months, you had convinced him that Rainbow Dash was responsible.
1533. >But, in reality, it was you, Flash Sentry!
1534. >It wouldn’t be long till the Guards found the human.
1535. >You had it on good authority that Anonymous would be leaving that forest in a body bag, same with his new bitch.
1536. >Just a single call to Shining Armor was enough to put out a kill on sight order.
1537. >Twilight’s sister was as much of a fan of Anonymous as you.
1538. >Soon, he would be dead.
1539. >You could be with Twilight.
1540. >You marry her, and gain the title of prince.
1541. >And then, all would be well in the world.
  1542. “Sleep tight, Twilight~”
  1543.
  1544. >You are Anonymous.
1545. >Your eyes slowly fluttered open as you awoke.
1546. >Apparently you had fallen asleep on watch.
  1547. >Not good.
1548. >Something had woken you up.
1549. >You didn’t know what, but with the way the hairs on the back of your neck were sticking up, you were sure it was trouble.
1550. >You were beginning to debate whether or not to wake up Starlight when your sensitive ears picked up something.
1551. >Movement, outside of the cabin.
  1552. “Starlight… Starlight, wake up…!”
1553. >It took the mare a few moments to obey your command, letting out a soft yawn as she smacked her lips together.
  1554. >”Anon…? What- MMMF!”
1555. >You clasped your hand over the mare’s snout, as you whispered softly into her ear.
  1556. “We’re not alone…”
1557. >You began to hear voices as well, hearing younger males chatting casually.
1558. >You also heard a few older sounding voices mixed in with the younger ones, barking orders at those that they were senior to.
  1559. >Royal Guards, no doubt.
1560. >From the sounds of things, they didn’t know you were here, and just happened to stumble upon the cabin.
  1561. >That wouldn’t last for long, though.
1562. >With the layer of dust that was present throughout the structure, there was a mess of footprints that would immediately reveal to anybody with half a brain that you had been here.
1563. >You grimaced, knowing you would be left with only one option.
1564. >You were going to be forced to fight your way out if they entered the building.
1565. >You briefly shifted your focus back to Starlight, whispering in her ear softly as you listened to the soldiers approach your location.
  1566. “Hide… I’ll handle them…”
1567. >She looked up at you with an annoyed look.
  1568. >”I’m not hiding…! I can fight…!”
  1569. “If you-”
1570. >It was your turn to be silenced, as the mare shoved her hoof up against your lips.
  1571. >”I’m backing you up, Anon…”
1572. >You tried to protest, but you could tell by the look in her eyes that she wasn’t going to back down, and there was no way you could force her to listen.
  1573. “Alright… just stay back… I don’t want you getting killed…”
1574. >A silent giggle escaped the mare’s lips.
1575. >”Don’t worry… this is hardly my first rodeo, cowboy…”
  1576.
1577. >Starlight hopped out of your lap, allowing you to jump up from the couch.
1578. >You rushed over to the front door, where you heard the Guards milling about outside.
1579. >”Get this fucking door open, I’m freezing my balls off!”
1580. >Looks like you weren’t going to be avoiding a fight.
1581. >As you glanced about, trying to figure out your next move, you spotted a window sitting beside the front door.
1582. >Time for some good old fashioned violence of action.
1583. >You stepped back a few feet, before sprinting forward towards the window.
1584. >At the right moment, you jumped forward, your body propelling through the air and smashing right through the window.
1585. >Time seemed to slow as you exited onto the other side.
1586. >You spotted roughly ten guards surrounding you, plus others in the nearby area, all just barely beginning to react to your sudden presence.
1587. >More than enough for you to handle.
1588. >You kicked outwards, before slamming your foot down on the head of the nearest Guard with enough force to send his face crashing into the dirt, immediately knocking him out of the fight.
1589. >You landed on your feet and rolled forward to put some distance between you and the rest of the soldiers, not wanting to get surrounded.
1590. >By now, the Royal Guards realized what was going on, and turned to face you, their weapons drawn and at the ready.
  1591. >”Contact! Contact!”
1592. >You drew your knife, preparing to face them, when a sudden explosion enveloped them, as the whole cabin exploded in a burst of orange flame.
1593. >From out the flames stepped out Starlight, surrounded in a forcefield, a triumphant smirk on her face.
  1594. >”I told you I could fight, Anon~”
1595. >You met her smirk with one of her own as the chatter on your codec immediately began reporting the explosions and fighting in your area.
1596. “You also just gave away our position to fucking everybody.”
1597. >She blinked, taking a moment to realize her mistake.
  1598. >”I-”
1599. “We can discuss the basics of CQC later!”
1600. >You bounced backwards as you dodged a spear flying towards you, the other Guards that were patrolling the cabin’s perimeter moving in to confront you.
1601. >You rushed past the levitating spear, charging at the attacking soldier.
1602. >You slammed your fist into his unarmored face, stunning him, and breaking his concentration, disrupting his magic and forcing him to drop his weapon.
1603. >You followed up your strike by lunging at his side, wrapping your arm under his midsection, and throwing him to the ground.
1604. >The threat neutralized, you moved onto the next enemy, a rather young looking earth pony charging you with a spear held in his two front hooves.
1605. >You were as amused as you were confused by him running on his hind hooves, but noted he more than likely had an extremely weak center of balance.
1606. >You quickly dodged his charge, before kicking outwards, striking the Guard in the side and knocking him on his side.
1607. >Before he could recover, you jumped on top of him, unsheathing your combat knife, and burying your blade on unarmored chest.
1608. >He gasped out in pain and shock, before you finished him off with a quick slash to the throat.
1609. >You retracted your knife in time to parry a strike from a screaming swordspony, the sudden force of his blow knocking you on your back
1610. >The stallion grunted as pushed his weight into his sword in an attempt to bypass your block.
1611. >As he did this, you spotted movement in your peripherals, noting that two other Guards were attempting to flank you, charging your sides.
1612. >Kneeing the Guard on top of you in the side, you pivoted out from underneath him.
1613. >Once you were free, you grabbed the stallion’s hoof with your spare hand and yanked backwards on it as you crawled on top of him.
1614. >He screamed out in pain as a sickening crack filled the air.
1615. >With another quick slash and retract, you removed another threat from the battlefield, before turning your attention to the two stallions charging your sides.
1616. >As you tried to figure out your next move, Starlight rushed your side.
1617. >Her horn lit up as she faced down the contact coming in from your right side, before unleashing a devastating offensive spell on the Guard.
1618. >You didn’t even hear him react to her attack, but when the spell faded, there was nothing left.
1619. >You didn’t have the time to admire her work, however, turning to face the soldier who was bearing down on you.
1620. >This time, you charged back at the Royal Guard, sidestepping just in time to avoid being stabbed by his spear.
1621. >As you did so, you pivoted, slamming your knife into the side of his neck.
1622. >A silent gurgle escaped his lips before he fell to the ground, limp.
1623. >You looked around, seeing that you appeared to be clear for now.
1624. >Letting out a small sigh of relief, before turning to face your companion, who was staring you down with a smirk spread across her snout.
1625. >”That’s four to my nine, Anon. Better catch up.”
1626. >You opened your mouth to speak, but she signalled you to shut your trap.
1627. >Her horn lit up, and she levitated a couple objects up the air.
  1628. >...?
1629. >She was holding up a crossbow, as well as a quiver of arrows.
1630. >”I’m sure these will help you catch up to me.”
1631. >She tossed them your way, which you managed to catch.
1632. >You took a moment to examine the weapon you were handed.
1633. >Though it was clearly designed to be used by hooves, not hands, you could still make good use of it.
1634. >You were about to thank her, when you were interrupted by chatter on your codec.
1635. >”CP, CP, this is Lima 6, confirmed sighting of the fugitives by Ranger Station Eleven. Multiple casualties, requesting reinforcements and medevac.”
  1636. >Shit.
1637. >A Guard must’ve fled before you could handle him.
1638. >Within minutes, this entire area would be saturated with enemy combatants.
1639. >Even now that you had a ranged weapon, there’s no way you could fight off that many soldiers.
1640. “Come on, we need to go!”
1641. >You didn’t even bother waiting on Starlight to say or do something, immediately sprinting past the burning cabin, in the direction that you were previously heading.
  1642.
1643. >You sprinted through the forest, only slowing down to dodge the occasional tree that stood in your way.
1644. >Starlight was surprisingly able to keep up with you, apparently in much better condition than you had assumed.
  1645. >Thank God for that.
  1646. >You couldn’t afford to slow down.
  1647. >You’ve been detected.
1648. >And now, you were being hunted.
1649. >You could hear them flying above the treeline, dozens of them, searching for you.
1650. >It wouldn’t be long before one of them happened to spot the two of you running for your lives.
1651. “How much farther till we can teleport?!”
  1652. >”Close!”
  1653. “How close?!”
1654. >Your companion didn’t respond for a few moments, more than likely trying to figure out what to say.
  1655. >She responded.
  1656. >”I-I don’t know! I lost track! I just know we’re close!”
  1657. >Fuck.
1658. >”CP, CP, Zulu 6 here, eyes on the fugitives! We’re engaging!”
  1659. >Double fuck!
  1660. “Get ready to fight!”
1661. >You stopped dead in your tracks and took a knee.
1662. >You unsheathed your combat knife with your left arm and held it up, before bringing your crossbow to bear, an arrow loaded and ready to fire.
1663. >Starlight screeched to a halt beside her, her horn lighting up as she prepared a spell for the approaching threat.
1664. >From the treeline fell a flight of seven armored pegasi, weapons drawn and at the ready.
1665. >The flight lead snarled at you, shaking his sword in your direction.
  1666. “KILL THE TRAI-”
1667. >You silenced him with a well placed arrow to his forehead.
1668. >The second your arrow hit its mark, Starlight let her spell loose.
1669. >A few managed to dodge her devastating attack.
1670. >The others weren’t so lucky, getting caught in the explosion, being reduced nothing but ashes in a mere second.
1671. >You were quick to reload the crossbow, firing off an arrow at the fleeing pegasi, nailing one of them in the back of the head.
  1672. >”That’s twelve now!”
1673. >You reloaded your crossbow, before opening your mouth to speak.
  1674. “We’re not counting! Move!”
  1675. >”Says you~!”
1676. >Regardless of her teasing backtalk, she ran past you.
1677. >You covered her with your crossbow as you did so, before shouldering your crossbow and sprinting after her.
  1678.
1679. >You ducked behind a tree as you heard the sound of an incoming magic missile, the magical projectile colliding with your cover, an intense wave of heat washing over you as it did so.
1680. >You had lost track how long you had been alternating between running and fighting off the seemingly endless amount of Royal Guards that were chasing you.
1681. >The Sun now sat high in the sky, it’s warm beams shining down on you.
1682. >You were hot, dirty, and exhausted, your face burnt to a crisp from the heat of numerous barely avoided offensive spells.
1683. >Readying another arrow, you shouldered your crossbow, poking out from behind the tree.
1684. >Catching a flash of white and gold moving through the trees, you took aim and let your arrow fly true.
1685. >A satisfying cry of pain signalled you had managed to hit your target.
1686. >Before you could celebrate, you forced back into cover by a barrage of arrows striking the charred tree you were hiding behind.
1687. >The Royal Guards had learned over the past couple hours of fighting, taking swordsponies and spearponies completely out of the fight, replacing them with what seemed like an army of archers and unicorns.
1688. >At least you had plenty of ammo for your crossbow to compensate for the fact you were no longer able to use CQC.
1689. >You peaked out from behind the tree for a brief second, only to be met with another barrage of arrows, followed by a couple magic missiles.
1690. >You needed to fall back and find some more cover.
  1691. >”Anon!”
1692. >The frantic cry of your friend shook you to your core as you turned around, spotting her a few yards away, staring off in the distance behind you with widened eyes.
1693. >”They’re moving in behind us!”
1694. >As she called out to you, you spotted armored pegasi drop in from the treeline she was looking at.
1695. >You ducked as they unleashed a volley of arrows in your direction, a few impacting where you were just standing a second ago.
1696. >You looked towards Starlight, who was busy trying to pin down the archers flanking you with several bursts of small magic missiles.
1697. “Starlight, get us out of here!”
  1698. >”B-BUT-!”
1699. >She tried to protest, but was interrupted as she forced throw up a forcefield as the advancing Royal Guards got a bead on her, narrowly escaping death by doing so.
  1700. “NOW STARLIGHT, FUCKING NOW!”
  1701.
  1702. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
1703. >You shook off your now shredded and useless cloak as your horn began to burn a bright sky blue.
1704. >You did your best to ignore Anonymous’s screaming and the arrows that wizzed over your head as you approached the human, summoning a magical force field that surrounded both you and him.
1705. >You ignored the arrows that bounced and ricochets off the shield as you closed the distance between you and your friend, your horn burning even brighter than before as you prepared a teleportation spell.
1706. >Both of you knew the risks of long distance teleportation.
1707. >You knew that there was a chance that your friend might not even survive the spell.
1708. >He might not even appear on the other side considering the distance.
1709. >Accompanying ponies have disappeared during long distance teleportation, vanishing completely from the face of Equestria.
1710. >With this in mind, you wrapped your hooves around Anon’s waist, giving him an affectionate, tight squeeze.
1711. >You wanted to be able to hug him one more time, just in case things didn’t end up well on the other end.
1712. >Focusing on your destination, you activated the spell you had built up, hoping for the best.
1713. >The smell of ozone filled the air, and you were soon blinded by a bright flash.
1714. >There was a time where you would’ve been begging fate not to kill Anon so you would be able to exact revenge on Twilight.
1715. >But now, you just wanted your friend to make it out of this alive.
  1716.
  1717. >Your name is Newsflash.
1718. >You are now just starting to awake, the Sun’s rays having been bothering you for some time now.
1719. >Having been so rudely awoken by the star above, you jump out of bed, irate, but ready to get the day started.
1720. >And, as usual, your start your day by monologing.
1721. “I live on the Equestrian Gardens Building on West Eighty First Street on the eleventh floor.”
1722. >You smiled to yourself as you spoke.
1723. >You didn’t know why you did it, but reminding yourself how successful always cheered you up in the morning.
1724. “My name is Newsflash. I’m twenty seven years old.”
1725. >You continued to monologue to yourself as you moved out of your bedroom and walked down the hallway leading into your living room.
1726. “I believe in taking care of myself, and a… a… what’s that fucking smell?”
1727. >You were suddenly blinded by bright flash as the smell of ozone grew stronger and stronger.
  1728. >”Newsflash!”
  1729. >That voice…
  1730. >It couldn’t be...
1731. >You rubbed at your eyes, trying desperately to regain your vision.
1732. >Finally, it returned to you.
1733. >You had to take a few moments to take in the sight before you.
1734. >Standing before you was Sunset Shimmer herself.
1735. >Her mane, usually extremely well taken care of, was a dirty mess, looking like she had the worst case of bed mane you’ve ever seen.
1736. >Her pink coat was in no better shape, being matted and stained with dirt, mud, and blood.
1737. >She was covered in lacerations and burns, and looked like she was ready to collapse at any second.
1738. >She looked like she had just taken a casual stroll through Tartarus.
1739. >But it was the sight of the creature that was doubled over beside her that shocked you the most.
1740. >You recognized him, having done more than your fair share of pieces of him.
1741. >It was Prince Anonymous, the one and only ‘human’ in Equestria, adorned in some sort of weird black armor.
1742. >His armor made Starlight look freshly bathed, with the amount of grime and blood that covered it.
1743. >His hairless face was covered in dried sweat, dirt, burns, and bruises.
1744. >In his hands, he held a crossbow, freshly scarred from a recent battle.
1745. >The two of them had looked like they had just left a warzone.
1746. >For all you knew, that might have been the case.
1747. >You shook yourself from your thoughts, before stepping towards the two of them.
  1748. “Starlight… what are you… how…”
1749. >She met your stammering with a tired grin.
  1750. >”I suppose I have a lot to explain… but first…”
1751. >Her exhausted smile widened just a bit.
1752. >”I have the story of the century for you.”
  1753.
  1754. >You are Twilight Sparkle.
1755. >The thing you feared most falling asleep last night happened in the middle of your pleasant slumber.
1756. >The Guard had made contact with Anonymous.
1757. >He didn’t go quietly into the night.
  1758. >Far from it.
1759. >The casualty reports were still rolling in.
1760. >With every new name added to the list of the confirmed casualties, you felt your guilt increase.
1761. >This was all your fault.
  1762. >Everything.
1763. >The blood of the fallen was on your hooves.
1764. >Worst of all, Anon got away.
1765. >He teleported away to parts unknown.
1766. >Now you didn’t even have a chance to talk things through with him.
1767. >You let out a soft sigh of resignation.
1768. >You felt a bit like Anonymous for admitting this… but you needed a drink.
  1769.
  1770. >You are Anonymous.
1771. >You felt as if your insides had gotten ripped out of you, pulled apart, put back together, then put back inside of you.
1772. >Consider what you’ve heard about the effects of long distance teleportation, you wouldn’t be shocked if that was actually the case.
1773. >You were suddenly assaulted by a violent coughing fit.
  1774. >”A-Anon?!”
1775. >You couldn’t respond to your friend as she cried out in concern.
1776. >You couldn’t even move your head to look up at her.
1777. >You were hit with the taste of iron, as you noted that there was now a splatter of crimson staining the white carpet below.
1778. >Starlight was now at your side, trying to support you and help you on your feet.
  1779. >”Come on… let’s get you up…”
1780. >Starting to regain some of your motor control, you shifted your gaze from the floor to her face.
1781. >Her persian eyes met yours as you looked her way, a reassuring smile crossing her muzzle.
  1782. “S-starlight…”
1783. >She raised a curious brow at you as you continued.
  1784. “Let’s not teleport again…”
1785. >She grinned as she nodded in agreement, leaning in to give you an affectionate nuzzle.
1786. >”Don’t worry, no more teleportation… we made it, Anon.”
1787. >You felt a small smile cross your bloodied, dirty lips as you took in her words.
  1788. >You had made it.
  1789. >You overcame it all.
  1790. >Twilight.
  1791. >Her friends.
1792. >The piece of shit that had fucked her behind her back.
1793. >Even the Royal Guard, who, despite how hard they tried to do so, were unable to kill you, or your companion.
1794. >Now nothing stood between you, and revenge.
1795. >Your lust for vengeance fueling your body with strength, you shakily rose off the ground with the help of Starlight.
1796. >Once you were on your feet, you shifted your focus to the new mare who stood before, seemingly in shock from the sight before her.
1797. “Sorry about the mess… you got a shower I could use?”
1798. >She nodded shakily, motioning down the hall behind her.
1799. >”It’ll be the first door on your left.”
  1800. “Cool, thanks.”
  1801. >You shot her a grateful smile.
1802. >Doing your best not to fall flat on your face, you stumbled past the two ponies, following the mare’s instructions.
  1803.
  1804. >You are Starlight Glimmer.
1805. >The moment that Newsflash heard her shower turn on, she rounded on you, a questioning expression on her face.
1806. >”Starlight… what the fuck is going on?”
1807. >She approached you, placing a hoof on your shoulder as she eyed you down.
1808. >”It’s been three years since I last heard from you. Now you’re randomly teleporting into my living room with a fucking prince, looking like you just left a warzone… is that even your blood?”
1809. >You felt an uneasy grin as took in her last words.
  1810. “Some of it…”
  1811. >”Dear Celestia…”
1812. >You eyed her down with a smirk.
1813. “You remember how I said I had the story of the century?”
1814. >She nodded, as she regarded you with a raised brow.
  1815. >”Yeah… I do.”
1816. >You slinked a hoof over her shoulder, before motioning up the hallway towards the bathroom Anon was currently occupying with your other hoof.
1817. “The Princess of fucking Friendship, of all ponies, has been sleeping around behind poor Anonymous’s back. For over two months. Everybody knew, and they hid it from him”
1818. >Newsflash perked up at this, realizing the implications of your words.
  1819. “That’s not all, either.”
1820. >You took a moment to motion towards your once soft and pristine coat, now stained with the blood of your enemies.
1821. “They sent the Royal Guard after us, Newsie. They didn’t even try to arrest us. They sent hundreds of Guards into the Everfree Forest just to hunt us down and kill us.”
1822. >You pulled away from the mare, giving her a cocky smirk.
1823. “You and I both ponies will eat this shit up. The scandal alone would be front page stuff… but the Royal Guard being sent to kill us? That’s… that’s…”
1824. >She held up her hoof, signalling you to stop.
  1825. >”I know, I know…”
1826. >The newsmare rubbed her face with her hoof, shaking her head as she tried to process everything.
1827. >”Fucking… just go clean up… we’ll talk when you don’t smell like corpse.”
  1828. >You shot her a smile.
1829. “Right. I should go check up on Anon, anyways.”
1830. >Newsflash shot you a concerned look as you brought up your companion.
1831. >”The Everfree Forest is a pretty long distance to teleport… you should go in get him checked out, to make sure he’s not missing anything.”
1832. >You grimaced as she pointed out the obvious.
1833. “I know… but with the Royal Guard trying to kill us and all… getting him checked out by a doctor is out of the question…”
1834. >You took notice of the uneasy look on her face.
1835. “Hey, don’t worry, I know a few medical spells. I’ll check him out and make sure he doesn’t die in your house.”
1836. >Your comment didn’t seem to make her any less worried.
1837. >”If you say so, Starlight.”
1838. >You shot her a quick reassuring smile, before turning about and trotting towards the restroom.
  1839.
  1840. >You are Anonymous.
1841. >The moment you turned on the shower, your legs gave out on you, forcing you into a controlled fall.
  1842. >Fucking teleportation.
1843. >Now, you in a seated position in the tub, your legs stretched out as you let the warm water wash away at the sweat, dirt, and blood that covered your body.
1844. >You felt genuine pleasure as you let your legs relax for the first time since you first engaged your pursuers.
1845. >The running, fighting, and subsequent long-range teleportation had taken it’s toll on you.
1846. >The only thing that kept you going at this point was your lust for revenge.
1847. >That, and keeping your one friend alive and well.
1848. >Had Starlight fallen on the field of battle, you wouldn’t have known what to do.
1849. >It was your fault, really.
1850. >You knew the risks that came with taking shelter in such an open area.
1851. >You should’ve moved on, found a cave or something, then continued to hide from the Guards until you reached a point where you could safely teleport to your final destination.
  1852. >But you didn’t.
  1853. >It didn’t matter, though.
  1854. >Your friend was alive.
  1855. >Safe, and relatively unscratched.
1856. >That’s all that mattered to you.
  1857.
1858. >You were pulled from your thoughts as you heard the bathroom door open and close.
1859. >You shot your head to the right, spotting Starlight trotting towards the tub, a sheepish smile on her face.
  1860. >”Mind if I join you?”
1861. >There was a point yesterday when you would’ve said no, or at least question her motives.
1862. >At this point, however, you didn’t care anymore.
1863. >The two of you weren’t just friends at this point.
1864. >You were siblings, not related by blood, but bonded by it.
1865. >With that in mind, you shot the mare a smile, waving her your way.
  1866. “There’s plenty of room.”
1867. >The mare took in your invitation with gusto.
1868. >Carefully climbing inside the tub, making sure not to slip or step on you, she positioned herself over you, before slowly falling backwards onto your lap.
1869. >She took a moment to stretch out, before leaning back against your chest.
1870. >A small, content sigh escaping her lips as the water began to wash away all the grime from the intense fight you haven’t even been away from for fifteen minutes.
1871. >You had to admit… you were more than a little concerned about Starlight.
1872. >You were used to fighting, to taking lives.
1873. >You were a soldier, even if your time in MSF was way behind you, you would always be a soldier.
  1874. >But, Starlight wasn’t.
1875. >You knew her spells took out scores more Guards than your crossbow and CQC did.
1876. >You hoped she’d be able to handle what she did when it came to her.
  1877. >”Hey…”
1878. >Starlight’s voice shook you from your thoughts.
1879. >You glanced down, spotting her looking up at you.
  1880. >”Are you alright?”
1881. >You felt a small smile cross your face as you opened your mouth to respond.
  1882. “Yeah, I’m still in one piece…”
1883. >A severe pain in your chest reminded you that you were more than likely wrong.
  1884. “Well, mostly.”
1885. >You eyed the mare with a curious look.
1886. “How about you? How are you holding up?”
1887. >She nodded, meeting your concern with a grin.
1888. >”That wouldn’t be the first time I’ve dealt with the Guard.”
1889. >You raised a brow at her statement.
1890. >Perhaps she was more of a fighter than you gave her credit for.
  1891. >”Hey…”
1892. >Once more being pulled away from your thoughts by Starlight’s voice, you noted her shifting her body to face you.
1893. >Now effectively straddling your hips, she eyed you with that same pleasant smile from before.
  1894. “Hmm?”
1895. >She leaned in, wrapping her hooves around your neck as she opened her mouth to speak.
1896. >”Thanks for looking out for me… I would be dead if it weren’t for you…”
1897. >She nuzzled you with affection as she continued to speak.
1898. >”Here we are… on the eve of our greatest victory… nothing’s going to stop us now, Anon. Both of us are going to have our revenge~”
1899. >Your heart throbbed in response to her words, shivers running down your spine as her hot breath cascaded down your neck.
1900. >You found yourself wrapping your arms around the mare’s soaked body, pulling her into a tight embrace.
1901. >A large smile spread across your lips as you fantasized about the coming days.
1902. >When the press break the news about Twilight betrayal, and the Royal Guard attempted to murder a member of the royal family with limited justification, heads would roll.
1903. >Twilight would be punished, and the two of you would get justice.
