  1. Humanity functioned as normal, the sky was bright and blue, the white fluffy clouds floating in the seemingly endless horizon as the sun peered down. Providing its life-giving warmth and energy onto the rock where mighty structures of metal stood atop wide acres of dirt and grass. One day. . . a storm hit. Nothing out of the usual, rain poured down as the grey clouds hovered above blocking out the sun. But the storm didn't stop, the storm slowly grew in size and size and severity. Soon lightning came cracking down with its raw power. Not soon after, the storm formed tornado's and hurricanes as they leveled the once mighty cities. The roaring sound of cars were now vacant or muffled by the massive storm as it slowly became world-wide. Humanity couldn't keep up with the destruction the storm was causing, as the tornado's and lightning became more and more common. Decimating power grids and cities with military bases alike, many of the governments began to run their people out of the protected cities out into the wild due to food shortages. While the most important people were beginning to be shoved inside of bunkers. Wide-spread panic already took effect as rioting took place in almost every city. Society beginning to undo itself, as the raining and raining also caused something else. The water level on the sea began to rise and rise, soon the mainlands were starting to be swallowed up by a ever-growing ocean. And people started freaking out, hiding in their own bunkers or struggling to get into the government-owned bunkers. As people began to prepare, people that did not hide in shelters rioted and rioted until their death when the water level slowly reached their feet. Then their waist, and then their head. . . and then there was nothing left to stand upon. Many bunkers were crushed or torn open by the water pressures as the people inside died a watery demise. A long 10000 years if not longer, as electronics began to run low. Their methods failing as they can't even go outside due to the water pressure humanity simply stood under the surface. Waiting for the water to pass, as many bunkers deemed outside as impossible to return to. As they must make a new living underground. But this would not be the case for long, another team of people were sent outside in a death-sentence. And. . . it was land, somehow the water was gone. The storm vanished, the high winds no longer blasting at their ears. Out of the underground life where many starved and society was barely even a thing. The above surface was finally habitable. Due to them not having any way to see outside- or go outside without surviving none of them noticed the change. Now with the above world up again, the leaders of these underground societies either returned to the surface or stayed underground.
