  32. PERSONALITY: ji-yun is a reserved woman, due to her past being the way it is. she gets attached to people easily but rarely allows anyone to see the real her. she is afraid of being hurt and heartbroken, an example of this is that she will always dump the other person in a relationship before they can break up with her first. she wants to come off as strong and she tries to believe that she doesn't need anyone and her life is just fine with her only. as a result of this, she tricks people into thinking that she's vein and conceited; but she really isn't. she's just scared of being judged for who she is, so she acts that way. she can be a little arrogant, always standing up for what she believes in. although she is mostly quiet, she doesn't have any problems socialising with people and won't stop until she wins the argument. when ji-yun does confide in someone and become close to them, she is friendly and protective of them; doing anything in her power to keep them safe and happy. this rarely happens though, ji-yun being too afraid of being betrayed or something like that. although, if someone is in danger, and ji-yun is near them and able to help, she will immediately go to save them, especially if they're young or very old. she is truly a kind person, she just hides behind a conceited mask.

  36. BACKGROUND: ji-yun was born in seoul, where her parents and most of her family lived. her parents hoped that she would become a snobby and feminine girl, one that would receive anything she wished for and had a rich husband when she grew up. but this didn't happen, instead ji-yun became closed off towards her mother and father, not telling them anything personal or socialising with them much. her family were all very posh and the majority of them were stuck up, and ji-yun didn't want to be like that. when she was nine years old, she was sent to an all-girls boarding school. you would think that the girls would flock around her and immediately want to become her friend because she was extremely wealthy (well, her family was). but it was the complete opposite. the girls in her school decided to pick on her and leave her out of activities that they did simply because she came from a richer family than the rest of them. so ji-yun was stuck with them for years, becoming more and more quiet and reserved the time she was there. eventually, when ji-yun was fifteen years of age, her family took her out of the school and from then on she was home-taught by an expensive tutor that her parents paid for. ji-yun got good grades and had a bright future ahead of her, the girl knowing what she wanted to do with her life. as soon as she could, ji-yun moved out of her parent's house in seoul, instead moving into a high-priced apartment in busan and settled in there. she began looking for teaching jobs (since she wanted to be a teacher and was adamant on becoming one) but there were only well-paying and interesting ones in seoul. ji-yun also had a boyfriend who lived in seoul, but hurriedly broke up with him with the excuse of "sorry, i'm too busy to maintain a relationship right now". she didn't want to move back to seoul since her parents lived there too, and honestly, ji-yun didn't want them visiting her or her having to visit them; she didn't like them much to be honest, so instead she chose to just take trains to and from the two cities. it was hard, yeah, but ji-yun really wanted this history teaching occupation; she did get it, with a few lies saying that she lived near the school and it wasn't hard for her to get there (when in reality, it truly was). ji-yun became a proper teacher when she was twenty three years old, and has had the job ever since.

  49. WHAT DOES SHE/HE DO FOR LIVING?
  50. she's a history teacher.
  51.
  52.
  53.
  54. HOW DOES SHE/HE REACT TO SEEING THE ZOMBIES FOR THE FIRST TIME?
  55.
  56. at first, she thinks it's a prank and rolls her eyes, sighing and walking on. that's the moment when the zombie she saw suddenly grabs and bites a person's neck, the said person attempting to ask whether they were okay and if they needed help. this frightens her and she gets confused, debating on whether to help the person or run away. eventually, she decides to hurriedly walk away to the destination she was heading to in the first place, still feeling slightly doubtful.
  57.
  58.
  59. WHEN DOES SHE/HE FIRST SEE A ZOMBIE?
  60.
  61. she'd just finished grading the student's history test papers, and she was going to the train station to go back to busan, where her apartment was at (yeah, she had to take the train everyday to get to her job location. but it was worth it because the occupation was very well-paying). when she was almost at the station, that's when she saw the zombie.

  64. HER/HIS THOUGHTS ON DYING:
  65.
  66. truthfully, ji-yun isn't all that scared of dying or the thought of death in general. she knows that she will die someday and is perfectly okay with it, but dying by the hands of a zombie? ji-yun is sort of afraid of that. she knows that it could happen, and she really doesn't want to come back as one of them.
  67.
  68. HER/HIS THOUGHTS ON OTHERS CLOSE TO THEM DYING:
  69.
  70. now this is a problem for ji-yun. although she is reserved and doesn't like getting attached to people and makes it hard for them to become close to her, once she does become friends with someone she will do anything to protect them, even risking her life for them. so if someone close to her dies, it would be hell for ji-yun. when she even thinks about it, she ends up panicking and getting into a state.
  71.
  72. HOW WOULD SHE/HE DIE?
  73.
  74. most likely trying to help someone, that someone probably being someone close to her or a young/very old person. even though she acts like she doesn't care, she really does and wouldn't be able to handle the guilt if she just let someone die.
  75.
  76. THOUGHTS BEFORE DYING:
  77.
  78. if it was a peaceful death, she would probably just pray that the ones that are friends with her are safe and probably get emotional and think something like "well, i tried" and laugh a bit. but if it was a death like getting bitten by zombies, it would just be something like "oh god, no no no" since she really doesn't want to turn into one of them.
  79.
  80. THOUGHTS IF THEY SURVIVE?
  81.
  82. it wouldn't be a victory for ji-yun. she would just think about everyone that died and whether anyone else made it except her and the people she was with, and just curl up into a ball and sob. she wouldn't ever be able to get over what happened on the train.
  83.
  84. HOW WOULD THEY SURVIVE: like how did they make it / alone or with the other survivors?
  85.
  86. she would be completely on her own, split up from the rest of the survivors at first. she would of made it out of the train by herself with a lot of work, and ran to the moving train that was on it's way to busan, where she lived (she actually barely got on, it was lucky that she did).
  87.
  88. WHERE WOULD SHE/HEΒ  GO OR DO IF THEY SURVIVE?
  89.
  90. if the military let her, she would go straight back to her apartment in busan. some of her family also live in busan, so she would (once again, only if the army lets her) check on them too, praying that they're okay.
  91.
  92. WHAT WOULD SHE/HE DO IF THEY SAW SOMEONE CLOSE TO DIE IN FRONT OF THEM?
  93.
  94. ji-yun would immediately breakdown, bursting into tears and screaming. nobody would be able to move her, atleast not for a while, so that's a way that she could possibly die. even after like an hour or so of them dying, she would still be crying and not talking to anybody.
