Facial Features - Nikolay has a rougher set face with a slightly defined jawline. His couple of years of boxing have already started to take it's toll, with some patches of skin having a leathery, hard, texture on it. His right eye has a recently developed cut under it, closed up with butterfly tape to aid in healing the wound. He sports somewhat peachy complexion that is a little on the paler side along with average length dark brown hair and heavy stubble that has failed to be trimmed in quite awhile.

Bodily Features - Nikolay is in great shape for his age. His time as a mortarmen in Russian Military as well as his time boxing have left his in a very fit and able body, despite some scarring along various places.

BACKSTORY

	Born the son of a Russian Officer and a secretary from the FSB, Nikolay had all the advantages in life he could have asked for as a child. A promising student in his early years, he'd soon go down the wrong part nearing his teens in a way to rebel against his parents and the 'system' he believed to exist. His grades gradually slipped as he got older and at the age of 17, turned to enlistment despite the constant pleads and talks with his parents about moving to something more prestigious.

	Despite everything, Nikolay deployed to the Second Chechen War as a Mortarman, a move his father had arranged behind his back to keep his son off of the direct combat zone to avoid his death, which in reality, worked. Nikolay took up boxing in the army as well, mainly underground matches the soldiers would arrange with each other for rubles, alcohol, cigarettes, and other goods usually shipped back home. His time in the service would be cut short however, as Nikolay would be wounded by a misfire from the artillery a few days after his 19th birthday.

	Recovery was surprisingly quick, which was only speared by his father's final attempt to keep his son away from a life he didn't wish him to pursue, and mere days after his release, his father would force him to take up schooling again, this time as far away from Russia as he could afford to send him. Nikolay would ship out a mere week after his release with no time to say goodbye to friends or even pack his belongings.

	Oregon was... alright. The University was well known and would house Nikolay as his father had hoped, but to Nikolay, it was hell. He would harbor a deep grudge for awhile until he lapsed into a state of alcoholism, using drinking and partying as a means to cope with his pent up anger and frustation until he rediscovered boxing. He took it up at first as sport until he was quickly removed due to his too 'aggressive' and 'dirty' nature of fighting from his underground days. All this did was further his resentment to the school and his family's decision. He'd drifted for awhile until finding a local gym that did matches and wouldn't ban him with his style.

	It'd be here he'd meet Viola Hoffman, a girl who would develop an obsession with Volkov after they'd partaken in some gym exercises. Nikolay had never thought much of her - or anyone at that, but did have a few romantic altercations with her to the point of a few one night stands, but nothing he'd ever admit to being serious with. He'd often blow her off to go to the gym or go to the bar where he'd always end up picking fights with someone over an issue that probably didn't even exist.

	When Nikolay stopped showing up to the gym and bar - nobody was surprised. They'd all assumed he'd either been arrested or had picked a fight with someone a lot worse than he could have bargained for. In a sense - they were right.

CLOTHING

FEET - White Adidas track shoes that are dirty and have withstood the test of time. Comfy and mobile, they work well.

LEGS - Faded jeans that have a black knee brace over the jeans. He also sports a black leather belt with a polished buckle.

TORSO - Nikolay wears a telnyashka (long sleeve) with red stripes, a grey zip up hoodie that is zipped up to 3/4s of the way up with the hood up, and a Combat Jacket in Russian Flora design with the standard patches from the FSB and 'Special Forces' back patch.

HANDS - Bandages wrapped around hands to act as boxing tape.

HEAD - Hood. No hat or glasses.
