Walker: Just thought id clarify without shitting up that thread, im sure a lot of people appreciate the "community vote" but I see it as a huge popularity contest which you guys should nto take into account. Id much rather SA+ make a decision without anymore input from the community after the inital application stage simply because you 99% of the time know a lot more about the person than the community voting. I just dont see this vote as reliable and I dont think it should have any say in the final decision. The community vote was taken into consideration in the inital application stage.

Walker: but with this vote who you want thing the community vote has too much input. Management know more and are trusted to be unbiased in the case of commander applications

Walker: go through another interview stage and ask more questions, maybe making them specific to various situations

Walker: Then to me it should not be counted like so. If you compare it to the applications one person can vote yes on several applications as they are not making one pick, its simply saying "yeah I think this guy could do it".

Walker: I can see the "get all the infomation before making a decision" is what you are going for I suppose, I just don't think this infomation is, again, reliable enough to influence the vote.
