- Grammatically, it would be correct to say "Does a reciprocal link work". The answer is "yes", as long as the links of this type are occasional and not frequent.

- Sorry for that grammatical error. I am not a native English speaker.
- By the way, the directory offers reciprocal, wants back a link to their site. How to exchange this? I am not understanding the formula. If i give them a link, does it appears on my site?

- Yes directory wants us to put their link on our own site
- 1) First, we need to copy and paste their html link onto our webpage
- 2) Then we have to give them our webpage URL where their link appears
- 3) Then they will give us a backlink from their directory.
- A youtube video might help.
- Another reciprocal link video explanation in Hindi

- Does this backlink work? I have got different type of comment. Some says it works, some says not. what would you say?
- I would say it is useful
- You can watch this video about reciprocal links from Matt Cutts, formerly known as "Mr. Google"
- The vast majority of directories are worthless. And they might be harmful if you have too many links from them. That can give you a bad link profile. I cannot imagine any reason I would give a link from my website to a directory.
- I think quality is essential when it comes to picking directories to list in. I would personally like to have my site listed in Curlie or DMOZ etc. Yellow Page listings are also useful, I saw one business's yellow page link ranking very well for a competitive keyword.
- First of all, directory links do not improve ranking much, but they are good for diversity. Access of everything is bad, there is nothing bad in getting a few reciprocal links but too many will definitely hurt your site.
