Character's Backstory:Daughter of middle class merchants, she was relatively sheltered for most of her life until she ran away from an arranged marriage when she was in her teens. Lived on the streets for a time before being taken in by a monastery. Never truly fit in there either, as she always put physical training over spiritual. They took her in and helped set her on the right path though, and she’ll always be greatful for that. Eventually May left to take up adventuring, though significantly fewer hurt feelings than when she left her family. Similar to how people had the last name Smith because their family ran a smithy, May Tealeaf's parents could have specialized in selling exotic teas and spices from around the world brought in by more adventurous traders. Even as a child May heard stories of the far away world. This is partially what inspired her to give it a try herself.

Character's Personality : Generally has a positive outlook on life despite a rocky past. Tries to act cool, calm and collected like the monks she studied under, but tends to be very rash and has a hell of a temper when provoked. Especially in battle, where she becomes no-bullshit and charges her enemies before they can even blink. However, she’s a smart and resilient fighter than knows when to hold back and learns from her mistakes/losses/beatings. She is well educated and grew up around merchants, so she has a good eye for rare and expensive items. Get’s bored very easily, and oftend finds herself playing with rocks and twigs or drawing in the dirt to pass the time. She is shy around people/races she doesn’t know, and only really opens up to her close friends. Tends to be arrogant, Flakey, and doesn’t respond well to failure. However, at the end of the day she’s loyal to her friends.

Character's Weapon of Choice: Tonfas

Character’s Armor: Light armor, like knee/elbowpads.

Fighting Style: Rush in and take advantage of ger size to trip up opponents with her martial arts.

Feats: Improved Init, Improved Trip, Power Attack

Other details: Exercises and stretches every day so that she stays at peak performance, a drive brought on by her subconscious need to make up for her small size relative to most other fighters. Collects new leaves when she comes across them, on the off chance they make good tea. Her favorite colors are green and burgundy, and she has a weakness for sweet treats like baklava and fancy teas. Friendly to the homeless since she knows how tough it can be. Does not like her size being made fun of. Her brother is the only one in her family that understood her, but he left home to pursue magic shortly before May was promised to a dwarven suiter. The dwarf wasn’t a bad person, but he was older and conducted himself in a rude foreign manner that at the time insulted May. When she left and eventually found herself at the monastery, she was taken under the wing of a Half-Orc ex-barbarian who’d left his old life behind to and became a pious man. He was her mentor figure for many years.
