  1. Lillian stood watching her younger sister look at her Shadow counterpart. "What do you want?" Isabelle asked cautiously, hoping that maybe she could get out of this situation without the troubles everybody else had. "Me? Oh, I want everybody to stop being so incredibly stupid, and follow some common sense. Mostly because I'm an egotistical, arrogant bitch who thinks that she's the most intelligent person in the world."
  2.
  3. Lillian clenched her hands into fists, resisting the urge to go to Isabelle's side. She couldn't interfere, this was Isabelle's fight. "I mean, what kind of good sister looks down on her sibling because they aren't as smart as you? Oh, wait, no good sister does that," the Shadow Isabelle chuckled. "Explains why you do that~"
  4.
  5. Isabelle shot a quick look towards her elder sister, but looked back at her Shadow counterpart before she could read Lillian's expression. "I bet you know that nobody really cares for you, even that father who showers you with attention and praise. The only reason he does that is because that's the only way he knows how to deal with you, because he never took the time to figure out who you really are. Good thing, too. If he had, he would of realized how high and mighty you are."
  6.
  7. "Oh, and that time when your sister said that she loved you? Classic. Especially since you were so disgusted, and you were just admonishing her silently. But, no, you couldn't come right out and say it, could you? Noooo, you had to give her false hope. How nice you are, am I right? Of course I am." Isabelle looked away, she didn't want to hear anymore.
  8.
  9. "You're just a selfish, arrogant bitch, who everybody really just hates except for your blindly devoted elder sister, who you hate! Oh, and you're useless. Absolutely useless. Why are you even here? It's not like you can do anything. The fact that you got a Persona in the first place is just fucking amusing in my opinion, because it's not like you could ever do anything with it." Isabelle wiped a tear away. "It's...not l-like that," she muttered.
  10.
  11. "Oh, really now? What have you accomplished here? Oh, right, nothing. You've beat up a few Shadows, but that's only because your friends helped you out. If you can even call them friends, you're just using them." Isabelle whimpered, was this what she was really like? "I-I-" The Shadow Isabelle laughed. "I, I what?" she asked mockingly. "Oh, is the ever-so-intelligent Isabelle not thinking straight? Can't think of how to rebut what's TRUE? Well, that's a first~"
  12.
  13. Isabelle fell to her knees, looking up at her Shadow counterpart. "So, you're not only a bitch, hated by everybody but the person you hate, you're also useless and not as intelligent as you make yourself out to be. I bet your idiotic father is smarter than you~" A tear rolled down Isabelle's cheek. She loved her father, she really did. She would never say something like that. "Don't worry," cooed the Shadow Isabelle. "If you can just accept what a horrible person you are, maybe you can leave all these pawns behind~ You can just go back to the regular world and live a normal life~ Let them get themselves killed, why should you risk your life for a cause you believe is hopeless~?"
  14.
  15. Isabelle glanced up towards the Shadow Isabelle. "Just accept yourself. If you do, you'll realize that you just don't care about these people~ Why bother with them~? They aren't even worthy to be your pawns, in your eyes~" "Shut up," muttered Isabelle. "What was that?" asked the Shadow Isabelle mockingly. "I couldn't hear you over the SELF-CENTERED ARROGANCE~" "I said SHUT UP!" roared Isabelle. "I don't feel this way, and I never will! YOU AREN'T ME!"
  16.
  17. The Shadow Isabelle sighed. "Oh well. I thought maybe you were at least smart enough that you could skip this entire thing and just accept me~ I guess you really are that stupid, aren't you?" Isabelle watched as the Shadow Isabelle dissolved, and reformed as her Penthesilea Persona, except tinged with blackness. Just like Lillian's Shadow had turned into a darkened version of Forneus.
  18.
  19. She tried to use her Evoker, placing it to the side of her head and pulling the trigger...but nothing happened. There was too much doubt, too much fear, overriding her consciousness. Penthesilea just wouldn't appear, held back by Isabelle's self-doubt. She gazed up at the shadowy version of her Persona, looking down at her with disdain. "Well?" it asked.
  20.
  21. It was answered by Forneus smashing into it, screeching wildly. "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY LITTLE SISTER!" yelled Lillian, her tone imperious, commanding. Probably the Emperor Arcana at work. Forneus repeatedly tore at the darkened Penthesilea’s face, whipping at the rest of it’s body randomly with his long tail.
  22.
  23. Lillian cautiously approached her younger sister while Forneus battled it out with the shadowed Penthesilea, warily stretching a hand out to put it on Isabelle’s shoulder. “GET AWAY FROM ME!” she shrieked, and Lillian retreated backwards. Isabelle was sobbing uncontrollably as she asked, “D-didn’t you h-hear it...her...me? E-everything was tr-true...”
  24.
  25. Lillian smiled tentatively. “So? ‘S not like you’re a different person for it...You’re still Isabelle, you’re still my li’l sister. Nothin’ll change that, ‘n ya’ know it.” Isabelle glanced towards her elder sister, her purple eyes filled with tears. Lillian smirked. “Y’know, ya’ should probably do somethin’ ‘bout those tears, Isa.” Lillian pulled out a handkerchief from her inside-jacket pocket, and dabbed at her younger sister’s eyes and cheeks, removing the trails of tears and those welling up at the corners of her eyes.
  26.
  27. “Much better,” she said, smiling. “C’mon, Isa...I accept what ya’ are, why can’t you?” Isabelle smiled. “Thanks, Lily.” The darkened Penthesilea chose that moment to crash down before Isabelle, while Forneus screeched victoriously in the air, before fading away with a confused squeak.
  28.
  29. “Let’s skip the bullshit, shall we?” asked Lillian, grinning madly. “Yes, let’s.” Isabelle knelt before the shadowed Penthesilea, and poked it sharply in the side. “Hey, you. Look, I have faults, I accept that. But, they aren’t anything near as bad as you described them.” She smiled, before saying, “But, I still accept that what you said was true, in a round-about way.”
  30.
  31. Lillian chuckled, and said, “In short, get lost, ya’ ain’t got a purpose here no more.” Isabelle glanced up towards her elder sister. “You really should do something about your grammar deficiencies, Lily.” Lillian sniffed, as if offended. “I don’t need none a’ yer’ fancy ’grammars,’ Isa.”
