       ⤷ joo yeonji spent the first 8 years of her life in seoul, south korea, where she was born. her father then moved her and her older brother to korea for a new beginning - one without their mother. she had passed away a year prior due to a sickness caused from childbirth of her younger brother. it wasn't a kind sickness, either. it ate away at her, killing her slowly for three years until it decided to give the last punch. those three years were hard for yeonji's family, but they received many consolations from loved ones and others who knew yeonji's mother. which there were many of, since yeonji's mom was a musical prodigy. she was a legend in the entertainment industry, and much of the consolation came in the form of money. after using as much as they needed to ensure that yeonji's mother would rest in peace, the family used the rest to move themselves to jeju island, south korea. it was a hard transition for them all, with the culture shock and the huge environment change, not to mention the loss they just suffered through.

       ⤷ DAILY LIFE #1 , SCHOOL DAYS ;
  she would wake up at around 7 am, and then take a long shower, take breakfast that her father had prepared, go to school and then went back home around 3 pm. she never takes extra classes since she's not a smart student, the highest she got was in korean class, and it was a A-. right after she went back from school, she would change into comfy clothes and start doing her house chores. do her boring stuff, eat and sleep. she's not the type who hangs out with people 24/7. don't expect something extra ordinary from her lolol

  wakes up at 12 pm, takes a long shower, eats breakfast-or-lunch-i-can't-tell. usually around 3 pm, she would spend about an hour at the house's small garden, relaxing herself or something. other than that, she would most likely spend the rest of the day on bed or chatting with her younger brother. she rarely comes out from her house. if she has work, she would cut her relaxing time and prepared to go to work.

  every time she has to work, she never really comes in at the right time, it's either she's 30 minutes early or 30 minutes late - there's no in between. yeonji is always apologizng everytime she comes in late and her boss would always 'forgive' her by giving her extra work when work hours are done.

   - these two were as in love as anyone could ever be. they raised yeonji with their best judgment and always made sure to support her in whatever she did. miyeon adored her first daughter. miyeon had yeonji at a pretty young age, but that didn't stop her from being totally there for yeonji as she grew up. she was wise and always knew what to say and was a bit more supportive than gwangseok. he was the slightly more strict one, but he's really just a lame ahjussi. he's a chef at a resturant and he thinks he's so swaggy it's disturbing. this is probably where yeonji gets her quirky humor and lame actions from.

   - he's so opposite from yeonji, it's kind of weird. he's a straight a student and studies when stressed. yeonji's all for lame puns, and yeonwoo doesn't even want to deal with yeonji's humor anymore. the two are so different, but they still get along pretty well. yeonji stepped up a lot to take care of yeonwoo when she was younger. yeonwoo's at the age of pubescent mood swings, so the two argue pretty often, but of course they both love each other under all the sass. yeonwoo grew up to be a handsome guy and he lowkey makes yeonji feel insecure sometimes OTL

   - they were exact opposites, as SHOWTIME is known as a diva while yeonji's known the loud girl that everyone wants to shut up. their relationship is amusing, though. they can always have never ending topics to talk about because it comes from two different point of views. sure, it can be debatable topics at times but being total opposites, they really enjoyed each others' presence as a great friend. they would often share their lunches together and SHOWTIME would continuously remind yeonji about how she should care more of her image, while yeonji listens to one of her favorite co-workers in jeju.

   - moon bin is lowkey yeonji's ideal type. he's fun and adventurous and comes up with pranks with her. she encourages all of his ideas, no matter how terrible they may be. they'll both be the first to scale a chain link fence and also the first to run from any security guards. he laughs at her hand fart raps and he shares her love for toilet humor. he encourages her to take erotic pictures of his thighs and nostrils and like half of her phone is filled with weird pictures he sends her.

   - the second and last of her small circle of friends is lee dongmin also known as cha eunwoo. the two met through moon bin and of the three of them, he's the more quieter & reserved one. generally speaking, the three of them get along really well. he's essentially the mom of the trio, always reprimanding bin and yeonji no matter what they do. dongmin's very reliable and meticulous and he's always got an eye on everyone, making sure that they're all on good terms with each other. yeonji loves dongmin like a brother and nothing will ever change that.

   - bin and dongmin are the only two boys yeonji doesn't feel nervous and awkward around. it's mostly because she befriended both of them at a very young age, because nine year old yeonji was less exposed to the cRUELTY OF HUMANITY and she was innocent and naive and could be herself freely without worrying about boys and such. things were purely platonic, there were no childhood romances, no promises to marry each other when they get older, no running away from home with each other at 11pm as twelve year olds, no nothing. yeonji sees both of them as big brothers that could never be replaced.

✿ | PERSONALITY :
       ⤷ bursting with verve and constantly running full tilt, joo yeonji is almost always high off life. almost comically animated, she does everything with as much gusto as possible and is able to make other people feel her passion. she pours her entire heart into everything she does, even things she finds tedious like chores and homework. yeonji goes through great pains to make sure everything she does is perfect for the people around her and feels like hard work is the greatest respect you can pay someone. she's an idealistic dreamer who has a tendency to romanticize the practical to the point that it's impractical. no matter what, yeonji believes insurmountable success is possible for everyone. best compared to a beagle puppy, yeonji is overflowing with hyperactivity. hardly one to stay still, she's always on the move and always wanting to have a good time. she loves being loud and being with loud people and enjoys milking all the fun she can from any given situation.
       ⤷ shame is not a word is her dictionary. she could care less if people go through her phone and expose her for the person she is, she doesn't care that at least ten people have horribly ugly photos of her. her shamelessness can also translate into boundaries that are hard for her to pinpoint and that she unknowingly crosses all the time like yes, yeonji, girls are gonna be freaked out if you ask for their cup size. yeonji is definitely mischievous and loves causing small inconveniences for other people. like one time she baked three hundred and twenty four pieces of cornbread just to put all over yeonwoo's bed and he refused to talk to her for an entire three weeks. then there was that one time during her freshman year when she covered the student council room in shrek pictures. and who could forget that time she boarded up her classroom with a bunch of chairs after her history teacher left and started singing “ do you hear the people sing ” from les mis? despite the fact that she loves to cause a bit of trouble, she's really naive and innocent and believe that people have her best interests in mind ( except for some people of course ). it is so easy to prank her it's almost not fun. if you told her the sky was green she would wholeheartedly believe you without even bothering to check.
       ⤷ joo yeonji is a huge hopeless romantic who daydreams about her dream man too much. she also indirectly ogles any hot guy who comes her way and is often saying compliments in her mind like, “ oh my god his arm muscles are so chiseled asksldjkd ” and “ wow bless his parents for creating him ”. why in her mind you ask? because she honestly doesn't have to courage to say it to their face. and if she did, she just kind of blanks and her whole mind is just “ you fucking idiot why'd you choose to do this ” and sometimes she gets into a paralyzed state and the dude is just like “ hey man, you okay? ” and she's like “ asdjghslkdj ” honestly, it's bad when she's around attractive men, so it's best to keep her away from them. speaking of men, she hoardes pictures of hot guys on her phone — it's kinda creepy actually. she's not the type to put thought into her actions or thought into how others may react to her actions, like her dying her hair after the first month of high school. or that time she tried the 24 hour challenge in a supermarket only to be busted by the security guards and detained by the cops for being out past curfew. and on top of her inability to think before she does things, when she's faced with consequences, she doesn't learn her lesson. like that time she got detention for clogging and overflowing all the toilets, she still did the same thing only with the sinks. yeonji is like a child. she can see the world plainly and yet with an unyielding sense of wonder but it can also be annoying when you're arguing with her and she just sticks her fingers in her ears shouting “ la la la la la! ”. speaking of annoying, move aside william shatner because joo yeonji is the world's biggest ham. she's larger than life, filled with joie de vivre, blood as hot as the sun's surface with powerfully poetic speeches and dramatic gestures that can transform even the most mundane into grandiose. she lacks an indoor voice and enjoys telling stories about all the wild things she's done while emphasizing and punctuating everything.
