- y0av: hey, I'm arguing with someone about something related to team playstyles (on which playstyle is bulkier), so to help me, would you please tell me if my next message is true?
- ACakeWearingAHat: ok
- y0av: bulky offense is a kind of offense that utilizes pivots, most of the time defensive ones (usually 2-3) to help with common attackers, while using attackers of many kinds to take down the opposing team,
- ACakeWearingAHat: nah
- y0av: wait what
- y0av: when I say defensive pivots I mean defensive checks to common attackers that don't always have recovery
- ACakeWearingAHat: bulky offense is just 6 mons that have at least some offensive presence but there is defensive synergy within it and there are switchins to shit
- ACakeWearingAHat: bulky offense does not have passive mons
- ACakeWearingAHat: generally
- y0av: oh that's sort of what I meant, yeah
- ACakeWearingAHat: balance has passive walls
- ACakeWearingAHat: bo doesn't
- y0av: balance basically is a team with a defensive core that is less passive than stall pokemon, and uses 1-2 breakers to help take down bulky playstyles and actually get damage done and a revenge killer/speed control to help beat opposing attackers (mostly sweepers) ?
- ACakeWearingAHat: doesn't have to be that formulaic
- ACakeWearingAHat: balance just has a balance of offense and defense
- ACakeWearingAHat: simple as that
- y0av: while BO basically is an offensive team with defensive synergy and switches to "shit", right?
- ACakeWearingAHat: ya
- y0av: thanks
