A Rainbow Pony on the Couch, Episode 8

>an hour later, you and Rainbow Dash return to Friendship castle
>you managed to push yourself in your wheelchair most of the may, too bad the castle was not handicap-accessible
>Rainbow had to help you up several flights of stairs
>RD:"I swear to Celestia, I'm telling Twilight to install some ramps in this place."
"Or ask her to put in an elevator."
>RD:"...Whats an 'elevator'?"
>oh, right, still technologically behind
>its still strange how Equestira is advanced in some areas of modern tech than others
"Well, an elevator is a mechanical lift, it can carry a lot of weight at once and can move it up or down very quickly."
>RD:"Oooh."
>you reach the door to your estate and open it
>lifting yourself out of the wheelchair, you plop down on the bed, still feeling nothing down past your waste
>you were able to wiggle your toes, but the nerves in your feet felt dead
"I really hope this isn't permanent."
>RD:"You heard what the doc said, it'll clear up in a few days."
"Yeah... I know."
>RD:"Now come on, I'll help you change into something more comfortable."
>you nod and take off your shoes, shirt, and pants
>Rainbow gets your PJ's out from a dresser-drawer and hands them to you
>you pull the shirt over your head, then try to reach down to your feet
"*ahh* I- can't reach."
>RD:"Here, let me help."
>she takes your pants and slides them up your legs, until you can reach and you pull them to your waste.
"Thanks."
>RD:"You don't have to thank me Anon, its what I do."
"But you deserve to hear it... Sweetie."
>RD:"D-did you just call me, 'Sweetie'?"
>her face flushes red while a meek smile spreads from her lips
"W-well... I-"
>RD:"*giggle* I like it, Honey."
>both of you bust out laughing
>pushing the wheelchair to the side of the wall, you lift your legs over onto the bed
>your wife crawls in next to you
>RD:"I love you, Honey-bunch."
>you grin
"I love you too, Sweetie-pie."
>she couldn't help but giggle, and snuggles closer to you
>the feeling of her warm embrace was enchanting
>you hold her close to you, never wanting to let go
>the few minutes of silence were peaceful, and calming none the less
>until you remembered something from before
"Hey Rainbow..."
>RD:"Yeah?"
"I uh... heard you told Pinkie about my-... our dilemma."
>RD:"...Who did?"
"...Time Turner."
>RD:"*gasp* So did he say he was going to help?"
"Well, by the looks of it, yes."
>RD:"Oh thank Celestia. I just hope he-..."
>you look down to her, waiting for her to finish her sentence
>RD:"...Nevermind, I'm sure he won't."
"Won't do what?"
>Rainbow's face turns a light shade of nervous, one you've seen too many times already
>RD:"Do you-... do you remember in the show whenever the Doctor changed something in the past, it would change the future sometimes?"
"Yeah... what are you saying?"
>RD:"What if he changes something in the future BEFORE it happens?"
>you never really thought about that, or what would the result be if Time Turner did change your future
"Rainbow, I know you're scared, and believe me, I am too. But I know Time Turner is a smart pony, and I don't think he would make any rash decisions."
>RD:"...I hope you're right, Anon."
>she hunkers down into the blanket, trying to hide herself
>grimacing, you pet her mane, not knowing what else to say
"*sigh* Goodnight, Rainbow Dash."
>she hesitates, then only replies
>RD:"...G'night."
>you lean over to your nightstand and blow out the lantern

>you and Rainbow were asleep for a few hours, but something woke you from your slumber
>a feeling of guilt? sorrow? worry? you couldn't figure it out
>Rainbow was still nestled on your chest, lightly snoring
>you wondered what exactly Time Turner needed your memory for
>was he actually trying to help change the future?
"...What the-?"
>a pulsing light started to shine outside on the balcony, before finally stopping
>you slowly shift out of bed, trying not to wake Rainbow
>your legs felt like they regained a bit more strength, and after stretching them, you felt like you could walk again
>they still felt like wooden stilts, as you carefully make your way to the glass doors
>opening the door, you whisper
*Hello?*
>you look to your right and see a familiar red box sitting at the end of the balcony
>the door slides open, and a maroon pegasus leans out
>SN:*Oi, Anon!*
>she waves her hoof at you to follow her inside
>you close the glass door behind you and follow her into the telephone box
>SN:"Why don't you take a seat, Anon?"
>you sit in one of the small chairs surrounding the console
"How come I didn't hear the T.I.R.D.A.S.?"
>SN:"We've got her running on silent mode so that we didn't wake the whole castle. I was actually gonna sneak in and wake you up, but the light apparently did the job, didn't it?"
>looking around the ship, you couldn't find Turner
"Where's Time Turner?"
>SN:"Oh, uh... he's down in the belly of the ship doing maintenance."
>she points down to the floor
>SN:"...I suppose you're wondering-"
"Why did he need my memory?"
>Nova's face flattens with grief, not a good sign
>SN:"Me and Turner looked into your future...-just looked-... and..."
"What do you mean 'just looked'?"
>SN:"We didn't do nothing if that's what you're getting at."
>she kicks her hoof against the floor
>SN:"We... spectated your future, and-"
"...It's true, isn't it?"
>she turns away and looks at the console
>SN:"Anon I am so-"
>you grit your teeth
"Save it."
>balling up your fists in anger, you stand up and head for the door
>SN:"...I've lost a loved one too."
>you halt before the sliding door, the handle within your reach
>SN:"When I was studying astronomy, I always wondered what I would find if I looked out to the stars. My father... would always take me out to a meadow outside of Fillydelphia with his massive telescope and we would just gaze for hours in the night."
>she pauses
>SN:"...Until he got sick."
>you turn your head slightly to her
>SN:"When we found out it was terminal... My mother actually came down from Hayland to see him, even though they were divorced."
"Why are you telling me this?"
>SN:"Because I want you to know that you're not the only one who's lost someone close that even -he- couldn't help."
>this catches your attention, and you do an about face to look her in the eyes
>SN:"A few months before it got bad, I was out in the same meadow, alone. I was so sad, I just wanted him to get better so bad."
>you walk back to the chair and she sits down on the floor
>SN:"That very night is when I met Time Turner. He came up to me out of nowhere and asked 'why are you so sad, miss?' I told him, and he asked if he could help in any way."
"What happened?"
>SN:"I said,'No, there's no hope left. Nothing could save my father.' All he could say was, 'Missy, if you give up now, then its like your father was never given a chance in the first place.'"
>she did a good job at copying his accent
>SN:"He offered to me a chance to see into the future, through the T.I.R.D.A.S., I was skeptical at first like all the other ponies who he's met. But when we found out that there really was nothing that could save my father, all he could say was how so, so sorry he was."
>you look down to the floor in sorrow
>her tone somewhat perked up, however
>SN:"When he dropped me off back at the meadow, he said to me to look up at these coordinates in the sky. Not even saying goodbye, that oddball. But when I did look where he said to, I saw the most beautiful sight."
>she raises her wing and reveals her swirling pattern cutie mark
>SN:"When a star dies, it collapses down into itself and creates a magnificent pattern in the sky. Nopony had ever discovered a stellar phenomena like this before. And when I knew I was the one who did, my cutie mark appeared."
>she's starting to tear up, but not from sadness
>SN:"I flew to the hospital, telescope in hoof, and ran to my father's room. ...He looked -so- bad, Anon."
>she kept pausing, raising her hoof to her mouth momentarily
>SN:"When I told him what I found, and showed him my cutie mark, his eyes shined just like the stars in the sky. He asked if he could see my discovery, and to our luck, his room was just in the same direction. My mother urged him not to hurt himself but he leaned far enough over to get a good look through my telescope. Finally my mother looked through it as well, and then she understood."
>she couldn't help but let the tears flow
>SN:"H-He said he was -so- proud of me... *sniff* and he thanked me for being there for him in his time of need."
>she wipes the tears with her hoof
>SN:"That was the last time I ever saw my father. He died later that night."
"Wow... now I'm the one saying I'm sorry."
>SN:"N-no... Its okay."
>she stands up and walks towards you
>SN:"Anon, what I'm trying to say is, be strong. Never give up hope, even if it seems bleak."
>she rests her hoof on your knee
>SN:"And we will try to help, anyway that we can."
"...Thank you."
>she smiles, then you both walk to the sliding door
>just as you step out, you turn to her and say
"And Nova... Ask Time Turner about his pocket watch."
>SN:"...What pocket watch?"
>you look back one last time, then head back inside your room
>confusedly, she closes the door, and the T.I.R.D.A.S. silently vanishes from the balcony
>Solar Nova makes her way through the cockpit to the adjoining hallway
>shes startled to find a depressed-looking Time Turner facing away holding something in his hoof
>SN:"Turner?"
>TT:"Gah! W-what?"
>he hides the object behind his back
>SN:"Whatcha got there?"
>TT:"U-u-uh nothing! Just a... thing! Yes, just an ordinary thing... nothing important to you or anything... just a thing..."
>Nova doesn't buy it, and using her wings she spreads his coat away revealing the silver pocket watch
>SN:"Nothing, eh?"
>quickly she snaps it from Turner with her feathers
>TT:"HEY! Give that back, NOW."
>she clicks open the latch, and sees the faded portrait of the ponies
>Nova turns slowly from him while examining it closely
>TT:"NOVA I SAID-"
>SN:"This is your family?"
>Turner stops all functions at her comment, freezing mid-sentence
>it felt like all the good inside of him suddenly vanished, nothing left but a dark void
>TT:"Can I just -please- have it back?"
>he holds out his hoof
>Nova gently puts it in and he yanks it away angrily
>he trots back to the console and taps away at the buttons
>SN:"If you don't want to talk about it, that fine-"
>a sudden slamming of his hoof on the metal console quieted the room
>TT:"They died. Alright? My wife and child died. I could go back and save them, but I can't."
>SN:"...Why not?'
>TT:"Because the whole universe, all of space and time, would cease to exist if it weren't for MY sacrifice."
>he turns to her spitefully
>TT:"The Ever-War, the war to end all wars in known history. Every time, Every place, Every-thing in our universe."
>SN:"With who? What?"
>TT:"...The Kaleds. Mechanical monsters who are almost immortal. The only ponies who could stop them were time-tuners like me."
>SN:"What happened?"
>TT:"...The Kaleds want to dominate the universe, bend it to their will, but without time-turner technology it would be impossible. So they built up their armies and attacked my home world, Gallihay."
>Nova listens closely
>TT:"Their forces where overwhelming, almost completely destroying the planet..."
>his voice starts to choke up
>TT:"How would you feel if you watched your family be vaporized by a Kaled execution squad?"
>SN:"...Turner-"
>TT:"And being able to do a DAMN thing about it!?"
>he throws the watch hard against the floor, almost breaking it
>TT:"I watched them fall right in front of me, if I didn't fight my way out of there I would have been killed as well!"
>SN:"Turner stop-!"
>TT:"If I hadn't gotten away, I'd never have saved the planet and NOTHING. WOULD. BE. LEFT."
>Turner is inches away from Nova's face
>TT:"...*gasp* I know I've said that time could be re-written, but if I change that moment, everything good in the universe would die with it."
>Nova quivers in fear of him, and he realizes his mistake
>Time Turner backs off of her and moves back to the console
>he throws the main switch, and the T.I.R.D.A.S. lands with a thump
>he pulls out his sonic screwdriver and points it at the door
>*bzzzzzzt*
>the door opens and Nova looks outside
>SN:"W-why are we at my place?"
>TT:"...Out."
>SN:"What?"
>TT:"OUT."
>jerking up, he points his hoof at the door
>TT:"I need some time alone, and I'm -really- trying not to get angry again."
>Nova looks at him, then down to the pocket watch on the floor
>she picks it up and walks over to the console, where Turner is just staring down at his reflection in the metal panels
>she places the watch on the panel next to him
>SN:"...Call me whenever you want."
>leaning towards him, she pecks him on the cheek, which he barely even noticed
>Nova exits the T.I.R.D.A.S., closing the door behind her

>Turner pilots the vessel through deep space, toggling knobs and switches
>he glances to the silver watch still on top of the console
>he exhales, and picks it up. He notices the glass had cracked from the impact of the floor
>pulling out his sonic, he points it at the clock face and repairs the damage
>exhausted, he looks one last time at the picture before closing the watch and stuffing it back in his pocket
>TT:"...Starla...Silver...I'm so sorry."
>he lays his head between his arms, as the engines continue to churn in the T.I.R.D.A.S.

>its been a few weeks since you last saw Time Turner and Solar Nova
>you told Rainbow and everyone else what Nova said about the dilemma
>nothing but heartbreak and depression from the group
>but with sadness, came sympathy, which your friends didn't lack any
>its been tough on Rainbow the most, she hasn't felt good for several days, and you tried your best to comfort her
>nobody forgot you, however
>Twilight's been keeping you busy in her massive library in the castle, wanting to learn more about Earth in detail
>Fluttershy needed help sitting some of her pets, and you loved animals, even her rabbit Angel warmed up to you
>Pinkie almost forgot about your 'super-duper' after party, which she tried to make a little less... exaggerated than her normal parties, it was one of the most recent times you saw Rainbow smile in a while
>you and Spike went over to Rarity's to help her on fashion choices with a 'yay', 'nay', or sometimes 'eh'. Her sister Sweetie Belle was working on a drawing and kept asking you if it was good
>shes a sweet kid, and of course you said it was good
>Applejack was probably the best by far, she asked if you could help move some crates of apples with Big Macintosh out at the farm
>you carried your load, but when you took a break and reached into a tree to pick an apple, everyone in the Apple family freaked out, never seen a being taller than them reach that high
>the look on their faces were priceless

>later that day, you were back in the library with Twilight
>she was working on a chalkboard writing down things from your "Earth-o-pedia" book, as you now called it
>you were sitting at a large table with a newspaper, reading house classifieds
"Twilight, what do you think of this house?"
>you hold up the paper to her
>she takes a break from her writing and lifts the ad from you with her magic
>the picture was a quaint little house on a hilltop, similar to Fluttershy's cottage
>TS:"I like it, Anon. Maybe Rainbow would too."
>she hands you back the paper, but notices the concerned look on your face
>TS:"I'm... sure she'll be alright."
"Yeah, I hope so."
>TS:"Oh and Anon, could you uh... help me with this? There's some things I'm not quite clear about in the book."
"Oh sure, glad to help."
>TS:"Thanks."
>you both walk back to the chalkboard, and yak away about her lists and charts

>R:"How are you doing, dear?"
>RD:"..."
>FS:"Do you need anything?"
>RD:"..."
>Fluttershy and Rairty were in your room with Rainbow Dash, who was still in bed
>she hasn't spoken to anyone in a while, not even you
>R:"...Well, if you need anything at all Rainbow, we're here."
>FS:"I uh, guess we'll get out of here. F-for now I mean."
>the white unicorn and yellow pegasus start to leave the room
>RD:"...Fluttershy?"
>they both stop and look back
>FS:"Y-yes?"
>RD:"...could we-... talk alone for a sec?"
>Flutters glances at Rarity, and she nods
>R:"I'll be right outside."
>Rarity softly closes the door
>Fluttershy flies to Dash's side
>FS:"W-what is it Rainbow?"
>she lays still for a moment, then looks back u to her friend
>RD:"You-...You've seen some of your pets have -babies-... right?"
>FS:"...Yeah?"
>RD:"...h-have any of them ever-?"
>FS:"Oh Rainbow, don't be like that."
>RD:"How can I not be?!"
>FS:"You're overreacting, you aren't even preg-"
>RD:"But what happens when I do, huh!? You heard what Anon said, his dream was true!"
>FS:"...W-who told him it was?"
>RD:"Don't you remember anything? It was Time Turner! Pinkie's 'friend'?!"
>FS:"Oh... right, I'm sorry-"
>RD:"You know what? If you're not gonna comfort me, just-... just leave."
>Rainbow jerks to her side and throws a pillow over her head
>hurtfully, the timid pegasus floats out of the room and meets with Rarity
>R:"That... didn't sound good."
>FS:"I know we're her friends but, don't you think shes a -little- bit overstressed?"
>R:"Fluttershy, darling, we just need to support Rainbow any way that we can and not give her anymore grief. I know she appears stressed, but give her time. It'll pass."
>FS:"...I hope you're right, Rarity, for Rainbow's sake."
>the pair walk off down the hallway

>RD:"...Dammit."
>Rainbow rolls back towards the door from under her pillow
>all she could do was whisper to herself
>RD:*Flutters...I'm sorry.*
>her eyes shut, and a tear rolls down her face
>then suddenly, they pop back open in realization
>RD:"*gasp!* I gotta find Pinkie!"
>she starts to bolt for the balcony door, but stops
>grabbing a quill and paper, she leaves a short note behind on the bed, then flies out the balcony doors towards Ponyville

>you tiredly walk back to your room after Twilight kept you cooped in her library for the past three hours asking non-stop questions
>you open the door expecting to see your wife still in bed, but to your surprise you see the balcony door wide open and a slip of paper on the bedsheets
>picking up the note, you read
>"Anon, I went out to see Pinkie Pie, I'll be back soon. -RD"
"Why would she need to see-... oh no."
>you split down the hallway to the front of the castle, looking desperately around
>you could barely see the top of Sugarcube Corner in the center of town
>not even waiting for a cab, you race off down the road like Forrest Gump

>finally reaching the pastry shop, you throw open the door and spot Pinkie behind the front counter working with Mr. and Mrs. Cake
>PP:"Oh, hi Nonn-"
"Pinkie, wheres Rainbow Dash?!"
>PP:"You just missed her, she um... can we talk over here?"
>quizzically, you follow her around the corner
>PP:"*sigh* Nonny, Dashie went to go find TT."
"Nononono...Do you know where he is?"
>Pinkie tells you where to meet them, and before you leave, Pinkie grabs you one last time
>PP:"Nonny... Take care of her."
>you nod, even though your face was worried to hell

>the meeting place was just outside of Ponyville near the train station
>you spotted a blue pegasus banging furiously on a red box, and rush over to stop her
>RD:"TURNER! OPEN UP YOU PIECE OF SHI- HEY!"
>you snatch her up in your arms and she wiggles to get free
>RD:"Anon! Let me go dammit!"
"Rainbow, you need to CALM DOWN."
>a muffled Scotland voice yelled from inside the T.I.R.D.A.S.
>TT:"I'm not opening the doors until she -does- calm down!"
>you now had to wrap your hands over her wings to decrease the struggling
"Rainbow, please..."
>she squirms and grunts to get free
>until she ultimately gives up
>RD:"W-why won't you j-just help us..."
>you comfort her, while the sound of her mourning was drowned out by the loud whistle of a steam locomotive now pulling into the station
>the sliding door creaks open, revealing a small portion of Time Turner's face
>TT:"Because I don't want to jeopardize your future."
"Turner-"
>TT:"Look. I can't change your future, there's too much at stake."
"Then what can I do to save my wife?!"
>you blurt out, startling Dash and Turner
>TT:"*sigh* I-I don't know. Okay? I just don't... I'm sorry."
>the door slides shut, closing off all hope you had with it
>but before the telephone box fades off, there were muffled voices from behind the door
>arguing about something...
>the door opens fully revealing Turner and Solar Nova
>RD:"Who are you?"
>SN:"Hi, Solar Nova, sorry we couldn't meet on better terms."
>they shake hooves
>TT:"Nova and I decided... There is a way we could help you."
"What, how?"
>TT:"I'm telling you that we cannot do it right at this moment, but when and -if- you want to have a foal, contact me. I'll see if there's another *ahem* 'hospital' available for her."
>he quotes with his hooves
>RD:"What do you mean by that?!"
>Turner turns back inside
>SN:"You need to be brave you two, everything will be fine."
>Nova says sternly, then closes the sliding door
"Wait! TURNER!"
>the T.I.R.D.A.S. begins to dematerialize
>*whoooooosh!* *whoooosh!* *whoooosh~*

"...Fuck!"
>you angrily kick the dirt
>RD:"Anon, what did he mean?"
>you stare at her... then kneel down and hug her tightly
>RD:"A-anon... what did he mean?"

>bawling, you carry her to the bed, and try to let her down

>she puts her hoof up trying to stop you
>you slowly sit on the bed, laying her down in your lap
>you were about to cry yourself, but you needed to stay strong... for her
>holding her hoof in your left hand, you try to pick up her head with your right
>she stops for a minute and looks at you, still sniffling in elongated gaps
>RD:"*sniff*...Anon?"
"Yeah?"
>RD:"D-do you really want us t-to have... a kid?"
>you sigh deeply, and help raise Rainbow upright
"Rainbow Dash, you know I love you right?"
>she looks wearily at you in confusion
>RD:"W-what are you saying?"
"Nothing. I'm just... I will do -anything- to make you happy, Sweetie."
>you rest your hand on her hoof
"Even if-"
>your speech was interrupted by the smooth taste of her lips
>it was sudden, but gentle
>her hoofs lean on your shoulders and you wrap your arms around her
>her mane smelt of fresh air, and her lips tasted of fine, ripe berries
>you break the kiss and observe her tear stained face
>RD:"I-... love you too, Honey."
>she pulls you back into the kiss, her hooves start to rub against your legs
>your hands tenderly rub the feathers in her wings, making her moan softly
>you break again from the kiss, whispering
*I want this... with you...*
>RD:"*gasp* So do I~"
>you pick her up and you both crawl under the covers of the bed
>not even hesitating, Rainbow pulls of your shirt while you unbutton your pants

>she nudges your hand with her hoof, and you take it

>the best kind of sleep is with the one you love

>a few days have past, and you now sit anxiously with Twilight outside a check-up room in the hospital
>Twilight noticed you tapping your foot rapidly
>TS:"Anon, she's going to be fine."
"Y-yeah I know. I'm just thinking about what will happen in the months to come."
>TS:"We'll reach that problem when we get there. Time Turner said he can help you, right?"
"...Well, not -immediately-."
>TS:"Why not? I thought his machine could travel through time as well as space?"
"He said something about it would jeopardize the time... event... line.. thing. Whatever."
>the door to the room and the nurse sticks her head out
>"Mr. Mous, Princess, you can come in now."
>you and Twilight get out of your seats and walk into the room
>Rainbow Dash was sitting on the examination bed
>the nurse grabs the clipboard lying on the counter
>"Well Mr. Mous, congratulations!"
>she says with a big smile
"Y-you mean shes-?"
>"Yes sir!"
>you chuckled dazedly and go over to your wife and hug
>Twilight talks privatley with the nurse
>TS:"Were there any complications?"
>"No your highness, everything checks out 100%. Shes in good health and should be a happy mother in-..."
>she checks the clipboard again
>"-about a year!"
>RD:"Wait, a whole year?!"
>the nurse looks to her
>"-About- a year, 10 to 11 months at most. But don't worry, it will be worth every minute."
>Rainbow nervously rubs her belly with her hoof, but you hold it softly in reassurance
>"Well, you're free to go Mrs. Dash. Have a safe trip back."
"Thanks nurse."
>"Anytime!"
>your trio walks down the corridors of the hospital to the exit
>RD:"Almost a year... almost a year..."
"Sweetie, its gonna be fine. Trust me."
>you hold her hoof while walking
>TS:"Don't worry Rainbow, we'll take care of you and Anon."
>she smiles softly to her alicorn friend, and continues to the front entrance
>you open the door for Rainbow and Twilight, but you weren't expecting the sudden barrage of flashing lights and hundreds of ponies outside
>"Rainbow Dash! Is it true that you're pregnant?"
>"Mr. Mous! Are you excited now that you're a father?"
>a herd of paparazzi shouted out questions and took pictures which the flashes almost made you blind
>you try to cover Rainbow with your body while Twilight tries to distract the crowd
>TS:"Just get back to the castle! Hurry!"
>spotting an opening, you and Dash bolt through and run as fast as you could
>"Hey! There they are!"
"Shit!"
>RD:"C'mon!"
>a human, a blue pegasus, and a purple alicorn run through ponyville while being chased by a massive herd of hungry reporters
>you finally reach the castle doors which the guards slam shut behind you
"*huff* *huff* H-how did they know?!"
>RD:"I didn't tell anypony!"

>Twilight opens the door, and a stream of party favors pop in her face

>inside was the rest of the Mane 6, assorted family members, and even the princesses."

>you catch Twilight before she falls backwards
>the party-goers soon change from elated to concerned
>R:"Twilight? Whats wrong?"
>TS:"There was a whole crowd of paparazzi chasing us from the hospital!"

>the ponies look at each other in confusion
>FS:"We didn't tell anyone."

>the group turns to a fluffy haired pink pony who was trying to act nonchalantly

>Rainbow turns around and heads out of the room
"Rainbow, wait."
>she keeps trotting down the hall
>soon the whole group is tailing behind trying to catch up
>RD:"Hey guard, open the door!"
>"I'm not authorized to-"
>RD:"I SAID OPEN IT."
>the guard looks nervously at the Twilight, Celestia, and Luna
>Cs:"...Open the door."
>the guard hesitantly nods and orders the other guards holding it back to move
"Rainbow, are you -sure- you want to do this?"
>RD:"As sure as the day I married you."
>an overwhelming feeling of guilt hits you in the stomach

>the doors are flung outwards, and the blitz of cameras and voices began
>you stand in front of Rainbow waving your arms and telling them to stop
>they actually do stop, to your surprise
>you stand aside, then a reporter speaks up
>"Mrs. Dash, is it true that you're pregnant?"
>a moment of suspenseful silence

>RD:"Yes."

>the crowd erupted with joy, to your surprise
>you stand proudly by your wife, hoof in hand
>your friends cheer for you as well
>Rainbow waves to the crowd, which has now well doubled in size since more and more citizens joined the celebration
>RD:"A-Anon... I'm so happy..."
>her eyes were watery
>scooping her up in your arms, you hold her close
"I am too."
>you kiss her passionately
>a collective "Awww!" came from the spectators

"*grunt* Well, there she is!"
>lowering a box to the ground, you and Rainbow gaze upon your new home
>on the ground
>RD:"I'm gonna miss my house."
"I said I could work up for it, Rainbow."

>RD:"Still, I love it, Anon. It'll be perfect for us."
>she rubs her stomach, which a slight bulge could be seen from the right angle

>the tortoise came flying out of the air and circled around you before landing next to Rainbow
"Heh, I still can't get over how funny is his mode of travel."
>she helps remove his helmet and propeller backpack
>RD:"Well, its the only way he can keep up with us, right Tankie?"
>he looks up and squints, and chaps his lips while he slowly makes his way to the house
>RD:"Not so patient for a slow guy, huh?"

>you and Rainbow laugh, and you help her grab some belongings and follow the too-eager Tank

"I got it."
>the cozy little home was now filled to the brim with cardboard boxes
>Tank sat happily between the two reclining chairs in the living room
>he looks up when you and her plop down on the leather
>RD:"I'm glad we did this, Honey."
"Me too, Sweetie."
>you both chuckle, while Tank only blinks in response
"Do you actually -want- to unpack right now?"
>RD:"...Nah."
"Mm-hmm!"
>you boop her on the nose with your finger, which makes her snort and giggle
>reaching to the side of the chair, you extend out the footrest
>she does the same, and stretches her arms behind her head
>you look around the house, its bland white interior mixed with post-modern pony decor
>it was simple, but you were so happy to have a place of your own
>and it wasn't that far from town, so you could still visit your friends in Ponyville without a long journey
"Hey, Rai-..."
>you stop, noticing your wife fast asleep in the chair
>smiling, you lay back in your chair and stare at the ceiling
>'We did it." you think to yourself

>to imagine all of this started by meeting her on your living room couch
>and now your going to be a father
>you inhale and sigh contemptibly
>might as well catch some Z's, the unpacking could wait

>you're lazily snoozing until you snort yourself awake
"Mhu... what time is it?"
>you look to the wall clock, which read 4:32pm
>about a 2 hour nap, you stretch and retract the footrest
>looking over to Rainbow, shes still asleep
>you decided not to wake her, she needs the rest
>getting out of the chair you walk around the mountains of moving boxes and sort them to their desired rooms

>about a half hour later you finished the main bedroom, and now moved onto the kitchen
>struggling with a tower of sauce-pans, you tried to reach up to a cabinet
>*CLANG*
"Shit!"
>you hear from the living room a worried *Nyah?!*
>RD:"Anon? *yawn* You okay?"
"Yeah Sweetie, just dropped a pan."
>RD:"Wait you're unpacking?"
"I did some to give you a rest."
>she walks into the bedroom and sees everything in place
>RD:"Aw, thanks Hon, you didn't have to."
>she floats up and kisses you on the cheek
>RD:"Here, lemme help with this."
>she takes the sauce-pans from your arms and easily reach the cabinet
"You're lucky you're a pegasus."
>RD:"Yep, even you can't reach high enough sometimes!"
>you chuckle, and start to unpack another box of silverware
>RD:"...Hey Anon?"
"Yes, Rainbow?"
>RD:"What do you think we're gonna call it?"
"Call what?"
>RD:"Our baby! Geez Anon."
"Oh, um... Wow, I hadn't actually thought of that yet."
>RD:"Me neither, do you think its too soon?"
>you set down the box you were holding
"Well, its not a bad idea to start thinking of names at least."
>RD:"Yeah, maybe, I'm just so excited!"

>she floats down from the high cabinet and you embrace her in a hug

>you noticed her sudden increase of affection, but decide just to roll with it

>she parts from the hug, and goes back to unpacking
>you do the same, now finishing up in the kitchen you move on to the bathroom

>a few hours later, and a mound of empty boxes later, you and Rainbow stare from the living room at your now-finished home

>she smooches you on the cheek
>RD:"How about, I make us a special dinner tonight?"

>RD:"Aww, but I wanted it to be a surprise."
"Oh, well then by all means, go ahead."

>she leaves for the kitchen, but she didn't notice the growing smirk on your face
>tip-toeing to your front door, you crack it open and look outside

>about a few minutes later, Rainbow comes back from the kitchen to a dark and empty living room
>RD:"Huh? Anon, where are you-?"
>you flick on the light switch from your side of the wall
>"Supriiiise!"
>you and your pony friends all gave her a short spook

>PP:"Happy Housewarming!!!"
>a shrill *fweeee* came from Pinkie's party-horn

>the ponies start bringing hidden containers of food from behind the furniture
>R:"As a special treat, we all made a potluck!"

>TS:"Think nothing of it, we made it just for you."

>Fluttershy trots over and hugs Rainbow Dash
>she offers her dish to her
>FS:"I-I made you a carrot casserole."
>your wife was starting to cry
>TS:"I brought fresh lettuce and tomatoes."
>PP:"I made mashed potatoes!"
>R:"I hope you like imported Saddle-Arabian tea."
>AJ:"And Ah brought some bon-a-fide homemade apple fritters!"
>Rainbow was trying desperately to wipe the tears from her cheeks
>RD:"Guys, I-I don't know w-what to say..."
>R:"There-there, darling, you don't need to cry."
>Rarity levitates a handkerchief from her satchel and hands it to Rainbow

>AJ:"Now then, who's hungry!?"
>the group cheers, and proceed to the dining room
>you all take your seats, but Rainbow went on to the kitchen instead

>RD:"Now I meant for this to just be for Anon, but you're all welcome to have some."
>she places the plate on the table, and lifts off the cover
>the group "Ooo's" at her dish

>after finishing your plate, you get up and take anyone else's empty plates to the kitchen
>you see Tank eating some of the lettuce Twilight brought in his bowl
>you pat him on the head and put the dishes into the sink

>the dinner table was now clean and you were all hanging out in the living room, catching up with events and stories
>you take a seat with Rainbow on the couch
>*what a coincidence, huh?
>you listen to some of the other's stories, and tell some of your own
>the party starts to die down around 10 o'clock, and the guests say goodbye and head home
>you and Rainbow get ready for bed, and finally crawl in together
>she leans in and kisses you
>RD:"Goodnight, Anon."
"Goodnight, Dash."
>you click off the lamp

>its dark, and you're fast asleep in your bed
>you heard a muffled groan next to you, one in pain
>you crack open your eyes and see your wife wincing in pain
>she frantically rolls out of bed and runs into the adjoining bathroom
"R-Rainbow?! *Oof!*"
>you flop onto the floor, and pick yourself up
>sprinting to the bathroom, you were just in time to see her retching into the toilet
>you run over and help her
"Just let it out, Sweetie."
>RD:"*huff* *huff* O-oh, Celestia... *gasp*."
"Are you feeling okay?"
>she tries to speak, but could only shake her head before another wave of vomit enters the bowl
>holding her mane back, she hovers over the foul bits and pieces of digested food before finally retracting back
>you sit with her against the side of the shower
>you yank off a small section of toilet paper and wipe off the leftover ring of liquid from her mouth, then chuck it in with the puke
>RD:"Anon... why is this happening?"
>this had already happened twice before, once during the day
"Its just your body's getting used to carrying a baby."
>RD:"But why does it have to be like -this-? Celestia, this is awful..."
"Maybe we need to change your diet, or something... I don't know-"
>RD:"Whatever we need to, right?"
>she could sense your worry, and places her hoof over your hand
>you were still scared of the thought of what could happen in the future, but she reminded you that now is the only time that mattered
>you let her lean against your side, while she rubs her now-slightly-more-obvious belly
"Yeah, whatever you need."
