  1. This done, we quickly grabbed some food and waited for a newly met Japanese admiral who promised to lend us his light sticks for the upcoming Yasen! That is, Kanmusu Ondo dance led by VAs. The event is a short one, the girls just joke around and dance Kanmusu Ondo with the public. This time in addition to two rounds of Ondo we got a special Zuiun song from the Zuiun Festival. I had no idea how to dance either of them, so I just waved my hands randomly - fake it 'til you make it, boys!
  2. When the mini-event was over and the seiyuus disappeared behind the stage, a familiar voice resounded in the speakers with Kirishima thanking everybody for coming and giving us a few sentences, which I unfortunately don't remember anymore.
  3. The last thing I want to touch upon is the collaboration itself. Below you will be able to find some interesting links to find more photos etc, but to be brief. It was an official KanColle x Sasebo collaboration, not just an event held at Sasebo. Large part of the city worked in unison with C2 and Kadokawa to bring us this special weekend. Ranging from unofficial KanColle toys (a knitted ball on a string with Furutaka's face got my attention on Twitter) to concerts given by local schools, to official goods, as far as local buses covered in KC art and using KC characters like Shigure for announcements.
  4. One thing that really differentiates Sasebo is the local food being a mix of European, American and southern Japanese cultures with steaks and hamburgers being very common and basically a stamp food of the city. These were also the most crowded places with queues just to order reaching several minutes for take outs.
  5. Another attraction was the stamp rally organized by C2 that had you run through the entire town with queues to get stamps easily reaching 30 minutes. Dedgaem some would say. If it's not your thing, just like it ain't mine, you still wouldn't be bored as Sasebo is a very beautiful city with multiple attractions ranging from small Netherlands at Huis Ten Bosch to JMSDF Museum or a WW2 bomb shelter dug by teachers and students.
  6. The merchandise area also deserves a special paragraph, as it was located in the historical "Navy's Triumphant Return Hall", nowadays called "Sasebo City Memorial Hall". On Sunday (15.09) and Monday (16.09) guided trips of the hall were organized with Sasebo's mayor together with one of the seiyuus welcoming every group. However, back to the merchandise area. On the first day a lot of items sold out very fast, but C2 came prepared and for three days they restocked every morning, so that everybody could get their happi, mug, t-shirt or Zuiun plushie keychain. As the queues were pretty long, at anywhere between 1.5h and 2h, brave admirals wanting to throw their money at Kadokawa were entertained by Kanmusu cosplayers dancing Kanmusu Ondo every so often. I was lucky enough to see them twice! Yes, it might be me singing, although it does sound a bit too good.
  7. Huggy's Special, or personal take outs:
  8. 1. Yahagi K2 will probably go the way of Yuugumo-class and have both winter and summer CG.
  9. 2. Kirishima has received a lot of love this event - JMSDF CG, a dancer-cosplayer and special lines for the end of Yasen. I think that devs might be hinting at who the next K2C Kongou-class is.
  10. 3. Akaga is now the official ship in my mind. Sorry ZuiKaga followers.
  11. 4. Kanmusu Ondo is actually hard to dance, but feels pretty good.
