➽ BACKGROUND: Huixin was born in Beijing, China, in a family of six. Her family consisted of her mother, father, two older brothers and an older sister, she was the youngest in her family. Even though her family was very big, her family was quite poor. Thus, her mother and father had to work extra hard to earn enough to feed the entire family. Her father worked as a salesman, so he often went out with his clients drinking and would come home drunk every night.

It caused him to do stupid things to his family, he would demand for huixin's mother to give him mother and would steal money from the children too. If they refused to give money, he would beat them up.

Not just because he's drunk, but in his sober state too, he would hit his children for talking back and hit their mother when she disagreed with something he said. He would always give an excuse that "he was doing it for their good" but the smile on his face everytime he abused them contradicted his words. At the end of the day, huixin would have a new bruise on his skin or a new wound even, but she couldn't even whine or complain because it would only result in more beatings. Her mother knew life would be hard as a single mother, but it was best for her children. So she divorced him and moved to Korea. However, before they could all move to Korea, huixin's father kidnapped her older sister and in the end only her mother, two older brothers and herself moved to Korea. She changed her name and grew accustomed to the culture, life has been good ever since, but huixin still misses her sister from time to time.
