  1. 06[00:52] * Kalil_Ashara sits on the bed, legs over the side, glancing at the door for a while. Eventually, she decides to get up and walk towards it, apparently tired of sitting.

  4. 06[00:55] * Baxter_Haley knocks on the door lightly.
  5. 06[00:56] * Kalil_Ashara opens it almost instantly, as she was just about to leave anyway. She gives Baxter a look, her eyes lacking recognition. She does, however, offer a greeting: "Hello."
  6. 06[00:57] * Baxter_Haley looks ragged, visibly worried and exhausted. Taking a step forward, he wraps her in an eveloping hug, and says with relief in his voice, "Oh thank god you're ok. I heard something happened to you after I left the hospital."
  7. [00:58] <Kalil_Ashara> "Err... Hi?"
  8. 01[01:00] <Baxter_Haley> "Hey, are you ok?" Baxter asks, worried. He loosens his grip on the girl to get a better look at the girl. His eyes scan her face, looking for anything different or wrong.
  9. [01:01] <Kalil_Ashara> "I'm not hurt, if that's what you're wondering." Physically she's the exact same, but her expression is different from usual.
  10. 06[01:05] * Baxter_Haley takes a step back, and retracts a small flashlight from on of the pockets of his cargo pants. "I'm going to need to a to a quick physical," he says, voice full of worry. "What did the doctor's say happened?" he asks, while gesturing for her to take a seat.
  11. 06[01:06] * Kalil_Ashara doesn't sit down. "That woman said something about an experiment of some kind... also giant robots, and monsters called Angels."
  12. 01[01:08] <Baxter_Haley> "And experiment? He asks, alarmed. There's a sense of urgency to him, a fear about him. With much dread, he asks, "...A contact experiment?"
  13. [01:08] <Kalil_Ashara> "She said something about extracting some remnants from some unit's core and synching and things I didn't quite catch. Who are you, anyway?"
  14. 01[01:09] <Baxter_Haley> "...I'm Baxter Haley. Who are you?" he asks, taking a step back.
  15. [01:10] <Kalil_Ashara> "I'm... Well... I can't remember. Oh, wait, Baxter... The woman mentioned you, a roomate?"
  16. 01[01:10] <Baxter_Haley> "Yeah. So, you have amnesia? What do you remember?"
  17. [01:11] <Kalil_Ashara> "Welll... About that..."
  18. 06[01:14] * Baxter_Haley just watches her, fear filling in the gaps of his knowledge. "About what?"
  19. [01:15] <Kalil_Ashara> "Nothing, honestly..."
  20. 01[01:15] <Baxter_Haley> "Tell me," he orders sternly. If nothing else, he's inherited his mother's capacity for rage.
  21. [01:15] <Kalil_Ashara> "I just told you, I don't remember anything."
  22. 01[01:16] <Baxter_Haley> "Then why trail off like that?"
  23. 01[01:16] <Baxter_Haley> "It kind of implies something," Baxter adds with snark.
  24. [01:17] <Kalil_Ashara> "Mind not accusing the amnesiac girl of things? Jees, like I haven't had enough of a bad day."
  25. 06[01:18] * Baxter_Haley sighs and apologizes, "Look, I'm sorry. I was kind of...I don't know, really, with you before. Close, I guess? I've had a really weird day so far, and I think we can both agree today isn't getting any better."
  26. [01:20] <Kalil_Ashara> "I don't know, it might get better if I could get some clothes or a proper haircut, or... Something. Or even a proper name. That'd be nice."
  27. 06[01:21] * Baxter_Haley nods, and gives her a small smile. "You're name is Kalil. Kalil Ashara. I can give you a haircut if you want, but we'll have to wait on the clothes for now."
  28. [01:22] <Kalil_Ashara> "... Yeah, I guess. The woman called me that, but it just doesn't quite fit... And, uhm, really? Well, I guess it can't be worse than this, looks like it was cut with a knife or something."
  29. 01[01:24] <Baxter_Haley> "It probably was, knowing you. Take a seat," he asks, gesturing to a chair. Placing the flashlight back in his pants, the boy retracts a small pair of scissors. Not meant for cutting hair, but it'll do.
  30. 06[01:24] * Kalil_Ashara sits down. "Really... That doesn't sound like me."
  31. 06[01:25] * Baxter_Haley grows suspicious instantly. "What would you like, a bob cut?" he asks, moving behind the girl. "And what does sound like you?"
  32. [01:26] <Kalil_Ashara> "Well, I'd like to grow it out and dye it or something, can you just trim it so it doesn't look like it was hacked at with a knife? And... I don't know, getting a real haircut?"
  33. 01[01:28] <Baxter_Haley> "Well, I can taper the edges so it looks ok. At least until you can grow it out. What color would you want to dye it?" he asks calmly.
  34. [01:28] <Kalil_Ashara> "Hmmm... Red, red would be nice."
  35. 01[01:29] <Baxter_Haley> "Why red?"
  36. [01:29] <Kalil_Ashara> "I don't know, I think it'd look nice."
  37. 01[01:31] <Baxter_Haley> "What was the last thing you remember, if you don't mind me asking?" he questions nonchalantly.
  38. [01:32] <Kalil_Ashara> "Waking up, then I talked to that woman, she left, and after a little bit I decided to go stretch my legs, and... here I am."
  39. 01[01:32] <Baxter_Haley> "That woman?"
  40. 06[01:32] * Kalil_Ashara gives a quick description of Nadine_Hawke.
  41. 01[01:33] <Baxter_Haley> "...Ah, that would be our guardian, miss Hawke. I'm sure she was worried about you, no?"
  42. [01:33] <Kalil_Ashara> "Yes, she seemed to be."
  43. 01[01:35] <Baxter_Haley> "Sounds like her. Now, you said you needed clothes. What kind of clothes do you like?"
  44. [01:37] <Kalil_Ashara> "You know, -normal- clothes. A dress or something. I almost want something long sleeved to hide that scar on my left arm, but... whatever."
  45. 01[01:38] <Baxter_Haley> "A dress?" he questions, though he manages to hide his surprise for the most part. "I don't know, I never had a problem with your scar before. You didn't either."
  46. [01:39] <Kalil_Ashara> "There are more, too... That's just the only visible one. I don't even know where I got it."
  47. 01[01:40] <Baxter_Haley> "Probably a fight. You were kind of a hobo for a while," Baxter explains, trying to jostle any memory he can.
  48. [01:40] <Kalil_Ashara> "... ... Your sense of humor is terrible."
  49. 01[01:42] <Baxter_Haley> "It would be if I were joking. And quite frankly, I don't believe you're Kalil Ashara," Baxter accuses as he finishes her hair. "I'm leaving, send someone for me if you remember who you really are, doppleganger."
  50. 06[01:43] * Baxter_Haley takes a step back, and moves to exit the room.
  51. [01:43] <Kalil_Ashara> "... Yeah, you're right, I'm not." She looks in the mirror. "Well, thanks for the hair."
  52. 01[01:44] <Baxter_Haley> "No problem. You were having a bad day, and from the sounds of it you needed it. Anything else you have to say, miss?" he asks politely. Even now, he has a hard time being rude to a lady.
  53. [01:45] <Kalil_Ashara> "No... You obviously don't want anything to do with me, you don't have to stay."
  54. 01[01:46] <Baxter_Haley> "...No. Kinda. I guess. I'm just having a stressful day and taking it out on you. You've done nothing to warrant such an action, as far as I'm aware," Baxter says with a sigh.
  55. [01:47] <Kalil_Ashara> "Well, I'll give you some respect for admitting it."
  56. 06[01:49] * Baxter_Haley moves away from the door and leans against a wall. He doesn't seem to be looking at Kalil, so much as through her when he asks, "So, if you're not miss Ashara, what do you want to be called?"
  57. [01:49] <Kalil_Ashara> "That... I don't know."
  58. 01[01:52] <Baxter_Haley> "Well, I can't call you Kalil, and doppleganger is deragototy. Anything that just sounds cool of familiar?"
  59. [01:53] <Kalil_Ashara> "Unfortunately not."
  60. 01[01:54] <Baxter_Haley> "Well, at the very least I have an idea of who you are though. What unit did you come out of?"
  61. [01:54] <Kalil_Ashara> "Unit?"
  62. 01[01:55] <Baxter_Haley> "The giant robot's assigned number. I bet you were in a plug- a giant metal cylander filled with an orange liquid- when you woke up, right?"
  63. [01:55] <Kalil_Ashara> "No, I was in that bed right over there."
  64. 01[01:57] <Baxter_Haley> "Right. Well, I'm off to bother Nadine then. For now, I don't know, call yourself Eve. Nerv's pretty big on symbolic names, and you're kind of an replacement for another woman. No offense."
  65. [01:59] <Kalil_Ashara> "Eve?..." She turns it around in her mind, thinking. "Maybe."
  66. 01[02:01] <Baxter_Haley> "Whatever, you're name. You can come up with something if you like, I'm just taking shots in the dark, after all." That said, he once more moves to leave and politely says good bye and that he wishes her to get better.
  67. [02:02] <Kalil_Ashara> "... Eve. I'll take it." She looks at Baxter. "Alright. I'll see you around. And... I'm sorry about your friend."
  68. 01[02:02] <Baxter_Haley> "I am too. Hopefully though, I know how to get her back. I'll see you soon."
  69. 03[02:02] * Kalil_Ashara is now known as Eve_Ashara
