Irregularity
A story about forgiveness, and love.

December 24, 20XX, a special day for some, just another day for many, but one very unfortunate day for a particular lady. Her name is Hei-Ran, a Matter living on Dark Star. She once ruled dark matter, she had everything she could want; a following, an army, personal guards, a huge house to live in, and plenty of money to swim in. However this had all fallen apart one day, upon capturing Seiko Miyazaki; an irregular Matter that had plagued the mind of Hei-Ran for far too long now. She had captured the whole Miyazaki family, which consisted of her girlfriend, Umbra, and her kids, Cyra and Ignis. Seiko was bound to a guillotine manned by Malitiae Acri, Hei-Rans closest guard and partner. The rest were bound by chains, ready to to systematically executed by Argus Iaculat, the head of Hei-Ran’s army, as well as her second closest guard. Everything was according to plan. She had gave the order to Argus to kill the first child, Ignis. Argus raised the gun.

Hei-Ran had not taken one thing into consideration, the irregularity of her own men. Argus had been fighting for his own emotions for far too long, and being ordered to kill a kid was his breaking point. He shot, but instead of killing Ignis, he had shot the chain, freeing him. Ignis ran to save his mother, Seiko.


“Goddammit, Hei-Ran! I can’t fucking put up this anymore!”

Before Hei-Ran could interject, Argus cycled the action of his gun and shot Hei-Ran. Her war fans had blocked her from lethal injury, but for the time being, she was down for the count.
The next thing she knew, Hei-Ran awakes to find the room empty, save for a single guard. He tells her that the Miyazaki family, as well as Argus are on the run, and Malitiae are after them.

Malitiae had returned to Dark Star empty handed. Hei-Ran was furious to find out that the irregulars had escaped. Days were spent trying to track them down, days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. One day, Hei-Ran woke up, and went to speak with Malitiae. Upon entering the room, she sees that he’s gone. Only a note lies where he normally would

“Hei-Ran,
I’m sorry. I cannot take this torture anymore.
Your commands, are too much for me
to accomplish. It goes without saying that
I am leaving you. However there is one main reason
to why I’m leaving you.
I’m irregular.
I cannot put up with fighting something
which I am. I’m sorry, this is the only way.
-Malitiae Acri”

Hei-Ran dropped down and began to cry.

Months pass since then, Hei-Ran had began to grow obsessive over Malitiae after his exit. All she can feel is the want for him in her life. It’s safe to say shes gone crazy. After months of obsession she begins to get letters from a unspecified matter that goes by ‘MC.’
After about a week, MC arrives. MC turns out to be a matter by the name of Magnus Custos. Hei-Rans oldest friend. In the early stages of her rise to power, Magnus left one day to ‘take care of some business.’ He never returned, until today that is. It turns out he was captured and experimented on by a company that goes by the name ‘Auruacast’ on Pop Star. Together, Hei-Ran and Magnus had discovered that Seiko and Malitae are planning to get married soon. They plan to invade during the wedding and capture Seiko.

The wedding takes place in a beautiful chapel, with a big glass window up front. Malitiae and Seiko stood side by side in front of it, all of the irregulars are there, including Argus. Magnus breaks the window and ensares Seiko with his six tentacles. Everyone gasps as Hei-Ran appears.

“It’s hard to have a wedding if you have no bride, huhuhuhu.”


Hei-Ran and Magnus escape with Seiko captured. Malitiae, is quick to gather his weapons and go to rescue her.

Seiko is brought to a cell where Hei-Ran interrogates her on her irregularity, mostly love. Several days pass, before then, Hei-Ran prepares for her ‘surprise’ for Malitae once he shows up.
Malitiae locates Seiko at the cell, Magnus alerts Hei-Ran to his presence. She orders him to bring him and Seiko to the ‘surprise room.’Once Malitiae falls right for the trap, both him and Seiko are caught up in Magnus’ tentacles. As ordered, Magnus brings Seiko and Malitiae to the room. Once they enter, its revealed what the surprise is.

The room is set up like a chapel, Hei-Ran at the front with a wedding dress on. Magnus, Seiko, and Malitiae are equally shocked. Some other guards take Malitiae and bring her to Hei-Rans side, and seiko is taken up to the front seats to watch. Magnus is heartbroken, he had the biggest crush on Hei-Ran since they first met. The procession starts and Magnus can’t handle to be in the room, he steps out. Upon stepping out and going outside he's met with a gun in his face. It’s Argus, as well as an army of Waddle Dees behind him. Magnus talks him down and explains the situation. Due to Magnus’ raging emotions, he helps Argus. He lets Argus and the Waddle Dees in the same way Malitiae got in, so they go undetected. Shortly after, Argus and the Waddle Dees invade the procession, and secure Malitiae and Seiko. They exit without casualty.

Afterwards, Hei-Ran is crying in her room, that she didn’t get her love. Magnus just hears this and listens to it, rather than helping. The very next morning, Hei-Ran finds a note on her pillow beside her, she opens it up.

“Goodbye. </3 -Magnus”

This breaks Hei-Ran, all her pent up rage and sadness explodes out. Her guards hear this and decide to abandon her, with fears of her becoming Irregular. Over the next few months she just shuts down in her house. She loses credibility on Dark Star, and with that, her source of income dwindles.


Months pass. Hei-Ran slowly losing hope in herself. She's deeply considering the easy way out of her own personal hell she's gotten herself into. Before she does so she checks her mailbox, the only thing inside is several letters with the letter “A” stamped on them.

“Hei-Ran, how has it been?
I’ve known got for a while now and
just wanted to touch base with you.
Ps, I don’t hate you.
‘A’nonymous”

Upon reading this, and the rest of the letters, she regains hope for someone, somewhere that accepts her. She eagerly awaits each and every morning for the mail matter to come by and maybe deliver something to her house. Most days they just walk on by, but every once in a while they drop an envelope in the mailbox, marked with that familiar ‘A.”
This schrade goes on up until the Christmas of that year.
