i want to pull apart the veil of the author for right now
i want to dispose of any form of surrealism for the moment
for it's time for me to address you
the one reading this
a moment to separate all of the dour and dreary and hopefully give you a bit of a shining light
even if it's fleeting, even if it doesn't last.
you, just like me deserve a moment of solace
a moment to breathe during a very destructive storm
the world is very beautiful, isn't it?
even in its most ugliest moments there's still sheer beauty buried deep within
there's still hope in this battered world, you know
even when there's an endless loop of pain and suffering
we do what we can to find hope in it
to find beauty and reasoning to keep fighting
i cannot help you all the way through these things
but the most i can do is constantly remind you that you have people in your corner
and of course there will always be these cheesy rambles about reasons to survive and an endless loop of attempting to find hope in a seemingly hopeless world
a seemingly colorless world
but i'm here to show you that there is hope
it's inside you, it's in the things around you
there's an ocean beyond the waves and it will show itself to you soon
my only request, my only plea to you is that you stay strong
you will always have people here to hold you and show you that you are loved
i promise.
