Final Fantasy XIV - Blue Mage Overworld Spells (5.2)

This list is meant primarily for the gearing up of new Blue Mages via overworld spells in preparation of dungeons or other content. Given that these can be easily done alongside the process of leveling up, these are some of the best initial spells to obtain while using Blue Mage.

It is worth noting that some spells, such as Loom or Sonic Boom, have no cast bar. Typically they are denoted by a special animation or status effect though, such as Flame Sergeant Dalvag teleporting next to someone when struck from a distance.

- Spells marked with * are required for completion of the story.
- Mind Blast (Tam-Tara Deepcroft) and Glower (Aurum Vale) are required for the 1 - 50 story, but have a 100% drop rate even if unsynced.
- To access further Job Quests and unlockables, such as the Blue Mage log, you are required to defeat major bosses such as Azulmagia or Siegfried.
