  1.
  2. Professor Nia says, "Just this dork."
  3.
  4.
  5. Marceline asks, "Are they a runescribe?"
  6.
  7. Professor Nia says, "No clue, I think the others are asleep."
  8.
  9. Victor says, "I am not."
  10.
  11. Eakna Almusta says, "Hmm the cosmic man is now a rabbit.."
  12.
  13. Victor says, "It appears I am."
  14.
  15. Marceline says, "Lame."
  16.
  17. Eakna Almusta says, "Now that just sucks... I want him to show me some cosmic magic..."
  18.
  19. Professor Nia says, "I could make you into a critter too if you want kin."
  20.
  21. Victor says, "As much as I don't mind this form I do prefer my original state."
  22.
  23. Marceline says, "No."
  24.
  25. Professor Nia says, "Humans would be alot better if they were all forrest animals."
  26.
  27. Victor says, "Maybe."
  28.
  29. Victor says, "Ah, thank you."
  30.
  31. Eakna Almusta asks, "Sir what's your name?"
  32.
  33. Victor says, "I am Victor."
  34.
  35. Victor says, "I don't believe I've caught any of your names."
  36.
  37. Eakna Almusta asks, "Can you show me some of your cosmic magic?"
  38.
  39. Victor says, "Certainly."
  40.
  41. Eakna Almusta says, "Oh I'm Eakna Almusta. Card magic researcher."
  42. Victor looked at the bunny daemon.
  43. (Victor)
  44.
  45.
  46. Victor says, "Well met Eakna. I don't know what you mean by card magic. To demonstrate any magic we'll need to leave the immediate area."
  47.
  48. Eakna Almusta says, "Well then let's go."
  49.
  50. Victor says, "*nods. "Sure, sure.""
  51. Flying to the East a bit Victor stopped them as they reached the area near the new Tower. Once there mage hovered in place. Only a few inches above the ground.
  52.
  53. "They're all easily done once you're familiar with the flow of your stars mana."
  54.
  55. As he spoke the mage had lifted his right hand and cocked his elbow back. Allowing for his hand to draw in near to his side. That aside, one could clearly see separate swirls of ethereal energy swarming toward his hand. After a few seconds Victor took half a step forward and fired his right arm and hand forward.
  56.
  57. From the palm emitted a bright beam of concentrated ethereal energy! The beam shot forward and traveled a great distance across the open grass before of course dissipating.
  58. (Victor)
  59.
  60. Eakna had followed the floating magi all the way over to the cleared field next to the towns tower. When they arrived he simply listened to the words of the man known as Victor. He pulled out his notebook and started writing notes down on the cosmic magic.
  61.
  62. When words were spoke he wrote down what the man said. "So cosmic magic uses your star which is quite obvious in the name... so then. How would you access the magic if you aren't familiar with your star's magic?" The young man asked as he wrote down in his small notebook. He watched the beam of magic go across the field.
  63. (Eakna Almusta)
  64.
  65. Victor nodded.
  66.
  67. "Yes, that's right."
  68.
  69. The words confirmed the males statement. There after Victor rose a brow as the question was presented. It wasn't often that others were so curious. At least not about his magic..
  70.
  71. That aside the mage replied.
  72.
  73. "In my case my star acted in my stead. As I preformed magic with my own magi born mana, my star preformed the abilities through its mana as you see currently wrapped around me."
  74.
  75. Finishing on that note he expected more questions.
  76. (Victor)
  77.
  78. He wrote down more notes. He was trying to decide on how to make a cosmic spell on a card if it had to act in tandem with your star. He pulled out a stone tablet. These were good for tests.
  79.
  80. "Could you show me the most basic Cosmic spell? I think I would like to try mimic it. Try explaining the steps on how you go through casting it. It's process." He would begin inscribing on the stone card trying to prepare basic runes on it before actually getting to the mechanics of the spell itself.
  81. (Eakna Almusta)
  82.
  83. "Hm.."
  84.
  85. Victor vocalized as his primary response. His mind had drawn to thought for the moment. The most basic of the spells was the charged dash. Giving a nod he turned to face the open area.
  86.
  87. "Right. One of the more basic abilities is a dash."
  88.
  89. The mage said, all while pulling and pooling a certain amount of ethereal energy. Once that energy had reached the desired level the male released it! Upon such he charged forward with the force of a meteorite. Luckily there was nothing in front of him. Just open field.
  90.
  91. When Victor came to a stop the mage turned again and looked toward Eakna.
  92.
  93. "As far as trying to copy this ability it will prove incredibly difficult. This force is something a regular magi is not capable of."
  94. (Victor)
  95.
  96. Gears were turning in the young man's mind. While he couldn't draw forth from the star as he couldn't truly connect with it... He could draw forth from the energy from the plants and life around him. He begun writing on the stone and it was quite sloppy.
  97.
  98. "Alright then... if you plan to draw energy from the stars... I'll draw it in from the life around me." He stated holding the stone next to him he began to pour in mana into the rock. Energy from the plants and animals from the nearby area would be pulled into the stone and the male would be covered in a more blue like energy. He would try to dash forward with the strength like Victor did but as soon as he tried to release the mana the stone erupted and launched him back.
  99.
  100. "Damn it... That should've worked. Guess I really need to get the mythril cards... One more try. Can you show me again. Slowly this time?" He would ask pulling himself up and then pulling out another stone card. He had to make this work. It was the most basic of spells. So it had to be the best to make work in the beginning. He needed some type of progress on magic cards.
  101. (Eakna Almusta)
  102.
  103. Victor listened as Eakna spoke. Going on to watch him prepare to gather the mana and release it. In truth Victor assumed that Eakna was able to draw mana from the plants and such around him from Nature magic.
  104.
  105. That aside he continued to watch as the male pooled the mana. As he released it Eakna was shot backward! Without even really realizing it, Victors right hand lifted and gestured toward Eakna.
  106.
  107. The male may have felt a slight tug at his person due to the manipulation of gravity magic. It likely didn't stop him, but it would have helped soften his impact.
  108.
  109. "First attempts often never work correctly. But yes, I can."
  110.
  111. Finishing that time Victor hovered back a few feet. There after the mage began to pull and pool the ethereal mana around himself. The aura which radiated around Victor started to swirl within itself.
  112.
  113. Not only that, but the watchful eye could see separate swirling lines of ethereal mana being pulled from the sky around Victor. As if his stars mana was pulling mana from that of Eternias own sun!
  114.
  115. After a few moments the mage released the mana. He did so by literally throwing the mana forward, through his circuits and body. Projecting him in that same direction with the force of a small meteor.
  116.
  117. Clearing a good distance he finally came to a slow stop before turning back around. Now facing Eakna the cosmic mage hovered toward him once more.
  118. (Victor)
  119.
  120. He watched carefully this time. He saw the mana begin to swirl around Victor and how it formed to make his shroud of cosmic energy. Then after a moment the mana would be used to project him forward to go at the speed of a meteor. They didn't call it meteor dash for nothing he supposed.
  121.
  122. Victor finished the spell which was enough for Eakna to begin inscribing the stone card. The runes on it this time were wrote down with precision and careful planning. They were laid out so the mana could flow properly through it. Once he finished inscribing he stood up.
  123.
  124. "Alright... this time I took a little bit more focus and precision..." He stated as he begun to charge the runes. They would pull energy from the life around him. The trees, the birds, the plants and even some of the people. Nothing life threatening just something to help give him the power he needed. The card reached it's full charge glowing a bright blue and Eakna would release it!
  125.
  126. The mana would release and he would launch forward going at a similar speed and force as Victor! The technique was sloppy but the card was a success. When Eakna landed he would have a sloppy stepping. He wouldn't fall but it sure looked funky seeing him regain his balance. That would just take practice. "That was awesome! It worked! Holy shit it actually worked!"
  127.
  128. He looked at the card and kissed it. A giant goofy grin on his face. No cracks or imperfections in the stone card. Just a working spell card! Sure it wasn't cosmic energy but it still worked!
  129. (Eakna Almusta)
  130.
  131. As he returned Victor observed Eakna scribing a stone card. It took a bit, but as it was finished the mage gave a nod.
  132.
  133. "I see. Perhaps this one may work."
  134.
  135. The mage stated instead of asked. There after he watched in silence as Eakna worked. He watched the mana begin to fill the stone card. As the glow brightened with a certain blue tone, Victor rose a brow. Raising his gaze he met Eaknas or at least tried.
  136.
  137. There after he watched as the male shot forward. After having released the mana from the card. It seemed the force mimicked closely to that which he displayed.
  138.
  139. "Most impressive."
  140.
  141. Victor said as Eakna managed to regain his balance.
  142.
  143. "To be honest I didn't expect to see such a thing."
  144.
  145. He admitted.
  146. (Victor)
  147.
  148. He chuckled and then looked at the cosmic magi as he finally had a working card. He didn't believe it could actually happen. "To be honest the theory had been put to practice a few times... but for it to actually work is amazing! I don't know any magic. So for me to be able to cast magic without having learned any the conventional way well..." He paused for a moment and looked at the runes on the card.
  149.
  150. "This card gives me hope that I can become a great fighter using these. One day I'll make it to where people around me will be amazed by my card magic." He said with a smile. One day he knew he could learn magic and harness magic that no one else would be able to use together. He'd make people gasp at techniques no one had ever though of before. Just like he made Victor surprised.
  151.
  152. "Thanks Victor for your help. If you know any other magic besides cosmic I'd be happy to know. Think on whether I can use any of them or not."
  153. (Eakna Almusta)
  154.
  155. "Ah, I see."
  156.
  157. Victor began just as Eakna paused to look at the card.
  158.
  159. "I don't know many non-magi willing to pursue magic if they're not naturally born with it. Perhaps soon others would be willing to if you master your idea."
  160.
  161. The mages tone held an undeniable amount of confidence. He was completely certain that Eakna would achieve what he was looking for.
  162.
  163. "I am already impressed with this card magic as you call it. If you're able to achieve more then I am certain others would be as well.
  164.
  165. You've something to prove, Eakna. Strive for it."
  166.
  167. Trying to assure the male even more Victor tried to use more bolstering words and a tone. There after, as he was thanked, Victor nodded before smiling just a bit.
  168.
  169. "I'm happy to help. I only know of Fire and Gravity magic outside the art of the Cosmos of course."
  170. (Victor)
  171.
  172. "Oh I'm not a non magi. I just don't have an affinity with magic to put it in a short term explanation." He stated simply enough as he then listened to what magic Victor knew. "Hmmmm sadly I'm not really interested in the other magics. I appreciate your help in learning this though. I'll make sure you are wrote in the books on this. Thank you. I'll be taking my leave now. In the future when I have more spell cards... I'll have to spar with you. Until next time Victor."
  173.
  174. With those final words he'd be off to go and head back to Huang.
  175. (Eakna Almusta)
  176.
  177. Raising a brow Victor found himself even more surprised. That aside, he went on to nod a few times as Eakna continued.
  178.
  179. "No worries. If you need help with more cosmic abilities don't be afraid to ask. As far as your books, well, you humble me. Truly.
  180.
  181. If you need a place to write or even read other books Levengard Library is open to the public."
  182.
  183. He made a gesture to the North. The building just to the left of the Tower. There after he gave a small parting wave as Eakna headed on back to Huangzhou.
  184.
  185. "Be seeing you. I look forward the spar ahead."
  186.
  187. With that said he turned his attention back to Thera.
  188. (Victor)
