  15. Realm Enemies- Writhes, Leeches, Howls, Gorgons, Piths
  16.
  17. Realm Appearance- I made a map, god help me
  18.
  19. Den of the Beast- Must be well fortified, yet luxurious. Big enough to house the ten weak starting Spawn in comfort and safety until we can get stable. Proximity to the Garden, Springs, and the Botanist power should keep everyone fed for the time being.
  20.
  21. Conversion- A variety of powers are at our disposal for gaining new Spawn. Pheromones and Mistbreath are always on, but likely offset by Strange Folk and Outsiders. Theoretically, Illusion, Bloods, and Bodies of Steel & Sinew will also make up that ground. Mortals will initially feel off-put by Spawn, but quickly grow to like them. At this point, Assimilation will begin to kick in. I'm thinking that will be a slow process, just as Corrupt Bodies should be. Hopefully this prevent too many issues concerning Free Will, as I prefer my Spawn with personalities and unique identities. Swift acquisitions can be overseen personally, with Behold, Stoke, and Chirell's Voice. The question is how fast we want to grow our ranks, but that will depend on the exact nature of Spawn. Mindless drones must be treated wholly separately from beings that retain a sense of self.
  22.
  23. Enemies- Naturally, every other god is the enemy of this Realm. We must not take an aggressive posture and would prefer to remain unnoticed. As for the enemies attracted to the Realm, the Sky Protects will eliminate Writhes, Leeches can be exterminated with some effort, and Piths/Gorgons can be assimilated so long as they don't catch us first. Howls I suppose will be an issue, but as the center of my Realm is Devouring Wilds...It will be interesting to see how many of their natural characteristics are retained upon conversion, but my instinct says none.
  24.
  25. Development & Natural Resources- There are a plethora of resources available to the Realm, however it will take some time before the infrastructure or manpower is available to take advantage of them. In particular, even getting on Floating Islands will be problematic as our flight capabilities will be random. The question of resource depletion is interesting, as this is a rather small and contained Realm. Normal ecological rules are pretty much out the window and I can only assume it's fueled by magic. There is a question of what to do when we reach critical mass somewhere far down the line, but perhaps circumstances will be different by then. The Realm biomes do not include any water features outside of Springs, so we must assume lakes, rivers, and possibly a border ocean are on the table.
  26.
  27. Public Relations- How much do we want to interact with the real world? I couldn't stomach leaving behind my life, but the questions of Assimilation and Corrupt Bodies affecting loved ones will be an ongoing issue. Especially when they reach the end of their lives. This will go back to the previously discussed point concerning how much agency as Spawn retains. It may be better to let a loved one pass rather than allow them to become a creature devoid of their former self. On the other hand, if free will is maintained the question becomes how many to save.
  28.
  29. As for the rest of the world, contact should be kept to minimum, as it will likely attract too many worshippers and too many seeing a threat. It would likely be wise to maintain subtle contact with bright minds, both to better understand our Realm as well as putting the pieces in place for the betterment of the real world without showing our hand. Defense of the real world is imporant, but needless conflict with other Realms is not something we want. Yes, an army can be quickly grown and maintained, but we simply lack the raw combat capability of others. A war of defense or subterfuge is an easy win, but a full-scale conflict could be disastrous.
  30.
  31. How do Spawn visiting the real world interact? As stated before, all perks point to them being just fine. However, Fading and Mana-Starved mean long excursions are not viable, while Wispform means Spawn will have to travel in groups to ensure the wisp is returned to the Grove. Corrupt Bodies and Assimilation will also be a bad look for any Spawn hanging around for too long. We must stay in the shadows, only recruiting those we feel not only deserve a place among us, but would want to be among us.
  32.
  33. Mana and It's Potential- What is Mana? We aren't given much of an explanation, besides it being what allows me to take from other Realms. Is this the nature of Mana? As the others brought a fundamental sense, am I to assume Mana is a sixth sense, comparable to all others? Perhaps instead of allowing one to steal aspects of others, Mana just allows it's user to shape reality. In this way, we're not actually stealing power from other Realms, but using them as a template to shape our new reality around. Have humans been gifted with Mana as they were other senses? That could be disastrous for all Realms. In the same vein, is Mana finite? There are several options which grant enhanced Mana regeneration, so it's safe to say it's a pool, as depicted in many mediums. Is it limited to the magics presented or are there others to be discovered? If the latter is so, my Realm will be powerful beyond match once we can get a handle on it. For the sake of balance, I can't assume it would be that much better than what other Realms can offer, so maybe it's just a greater spellcasting ability.
  34.
  35.
  36. Game Plan- Set up the initial Spawn in Den of the Beast. Utilize Botanist to provide food, although the Den should be well stocked if my understanding is correct. Instruct Spawn on remaining safe for the month, including safety plans for if they need/want to go out. This includes information about potential dangers, good communication, traveling in groups, and wisp collection. At this point, I return to the mortal realm and put my affairs in order. Be honest with family, friends, loved ones. Try to give work a decent heads up, it will be impossible to see things through in that regard due to Fading. Conduct exploratory missions and attempt to find the Leech nest. As the Realm is of my design, exploration is less about where things are and more about the specifics of what is actually in the biomes. I need to get a good idea of flora, fauna, minerals, and other ecological information. Getting around will be an inconvenience for some time.
