- THIS LICENSE refers to version 1.0.0 of the Squid Attribution Non-commercial License.
- THE SOFTWARE refers to the software released under THIS LICENSE, in both full and partial form, in both compiled form and as source code.
- THE OWNER refers to the right holders of THE SOFTWARE, usually the original creator of the software.
- THE CONTRIBUTORS refers to any legal entity which has made a contribution, in the form of providing code or other assets, to the software.
- THE LICENSEE refers to the person recieving permission from THE OWNER to use the software under THIS LICENSE.
- PROPER CREDIT refers to credit of the entities in question, and has to be provided through including the entities' names in the source code of any works containing THE SOFTWARE, AND through including the names of the entities in any fitting manner where works containing THE SOFTWARE are being distributed.
