  1. So we're approaching the end of 2017, I remember this time last year I said to myself "man I'm gonna MAKE this year a pretty good year" after going through what was the darkest time of my young adult life, and to my surprise I think I've stuck to that claim, so what's happened? I graduated from college, I left with 2 A*'s and 2 B's, I had the best summer of my life, I moved into my own flat for University and I started studying Video Game Design, which has been my dream and something I've worked towards since I was like 13 years old. Relationship wise I've been with Shae for almost a year now, it's the healthiest and happiest relationship I've ever been in hands-down, and we're moving in together next year when I get a house. That's something I'm excited about too, getting a house and being able to make more content in a comfortable environment, when I was back home I was living with four siblings and two parents in a pretty small house, it was hard to make videos or stream when I wasn't in the house by myself, and I think the quality of my content in 2016 reflects that. Now that I'm at university it's been sllllightly easier, definitely so in terms of noise, but my room is so small that it gets quite uncomfortable with the green screen sitting there in front of my bed. I'm making do for now though and I am going to make 2018 the year that I start to grow, that's my ultimate goal. I haven't made much progress in terms of views or subscribers, which hasn't been too much of a bother, I mean I primarily do YouTube videos for fun, I think it's a good creative excercise, I don't even monetize my videos, not that I'd get much off of them anyways. I'm gonna be able to do that completely after the summer of 2018 when I've moved into the house and I have my own dedicated streaming room so I'm not really uncomfortable whenever I go to record something or stream. Oh yeah, speaking of streaming, I really do want to make myself more comfortable on Twitch, I've been streaming a fair bit recently, I've done Dark Souls streams, Brawlhalla streams, Counter Strike streams, Rainbow Six streams, and I still haven't really gotten anywhere with it. I imagine I'll need to grow on one platform before I grow on another, so for now I'm going to just continue to make videos and gradually move over to Twitch once I'm more comfortable with my Youtube channel. I'm thinking maybe once I hit 1k? It's not a huge goal but for me it would be massive if I could hit that this year. Back to the house, I know I'm rambling, but I am SUPER excited for this, I'm gonna be moving in with Shae as I mentioned, but also with Jordan, my life-long friend who's been in the majority of my videos, my friend Owen, and my very good friend Harry who I play Counter Strike with. Oh yeah, about Counter Strike! I remember back I never thought I'd get to this point, but I'm actually in a team now, we've been to three LAN events here in Leeds and so far we've went to the semi finals in two of them and won one of them this year, that's crazy for me, I never thought I'd ever get out of Master Guardian and now I'm IGL for a team and an organisation I'm trying to start up outside of my Youtube channel. Probably won't go anywhere, the UK CS scene is pretty barren, but to think I went from Silver V to Global Elite, poppin' heads on LAN versus people who've got way more hours and experience than I do is insane and I'm proud of my progression with the game.

  3. Overall when I compare this year to last I think it's insane how many good things have gone my way, a few rough patches here and there but no year will ever go perfect and if it does then boy oh boy the year after that will probably be really shitty to balance it out so I hope no year ever will go perfect. We need those bad experiences to bolster how important the good times are and all of that philosophical stuff. I've rambled on for too long, but if you've watched this video until the end, thanks a bunch for hearing me out, I look forward to seeing you next year.
