BACKGROUND:; Hyekyung was born Kang Hyekyung in Jeonju, South Korea to a loving family on October 27 of 2000. As a child, she loved to sing. Hyekyung liked playing instruments like the ukelele and the tambourine. If Hyekyung loved seeing one thing, it would be seeing others happy. Hyekyung didn't have the prettiest face when she was growing up, but she had a great sense of humor, which got her popular in school. Unfortunately, she was used for popularity while growing up, which made her very careful about who she should be friends with.

If her friends in the show got eliminated, she would automatically feel frustrated. Hyekyung thinks friends are people who keep you going in life, but she could manage without them.

Hyekyung would be very happy and excited if she were to get a good ranking because she would have known she proved that she had talent and potential to win. If she got a bad ranking, she would be disappointed in herself but not ready to give up so easily.
