Hello guys! I wanted to make a guide on how to use battleship, because it's one of the toughest classes to master and also one of more versatile ones.

- Don't EVER have autofire on all the time.

This might seem really dumb, but hear me out. When you hold autofire on all the time, it's a risk of being found by your counters (necromancer, pentashot etc). Some more farmed shapes just aren't worth it.

- Rightclick is a thing.

Yes, you can use the claw technique with battleship. All you have to do is to get drones on one specific place and then hold rightclick and spread your drones around your opponents and let them go. You need to do it quick tho, because if you do it slowly, the drones will despawn.

- Battleship isn't your average drone class.

Come on, did you seriously think you can use high reload, low damage and low duration drones the same way as high damage, normal reload drones? You use battleship with its own style, somewhere between bullet spammer and drone class. The techniques that work only for battleship (hiding drones beneath you and surprise attacking, scythe attack etc) aren't very viable for other classes and vice versa (with exception of the claw, but it takes a lot of practice to do).

- Build is key.

You can't just go glass cannon or no movement speed build. You need to balance your stats and this is how:

You can freely take one point from reload or bullet speed and move it to reload or max health or body damage. On the other hand, bullet damage is very necessary, but penetration isn't that valuable because drones fade out fast. So, this is probably the optimal build for battleship:

0/2/2/6/5/7/6/5

Also note that you should put some points in regen too if you're not in TDM/domination/any-other-gamemode-with-bases.
