Of the 24 new areas with LTE, T-Mobile has:
- 6 LTE areas
- 8 "4G" areas
- 0 3G areas
- 8 2G areas
- 2 roaming areas

So, of the 24 areas, 10 of them will have pretty poor performance in general.
