- for starters the SOPs are going to be the procedures youre expected to follow during your time in STA / WIJST, and failure to follow them is going to almost certainly result in consequence
- i say almost certainly because there are some ops chiefs that will probably be more laid back with you, me and divided both and sofa are probably going to be doing the majority of the work for ST so you will see us around the most
- subsequently were also going to be the ones who will probably the most strict about following SOPs so just use common sense and the follow the rules in there
- theyre not hard and pretty simple, but if you fail to follow them in STA youre going to lose merit points for misconduct depending on the severity of it
- the cadet handbook outlines pretty much everything you need to know for sta, all the way from entry to graduation
- theres a few guidelines at the beginning to follow but the SOPs pretty much trump those in priority now so we dont really regulate those super hard anymore
- after that youre going to notice the ranks of sta which go as follows
- initiate, cadet grade 1, cadet grade 2, cadet grade 3, and then the reviewal stage
- and the revision stage is also described in there but i will get to that later
- during initiate all you have to do is literally receive an instruction / pretty much get counciled on STA and how it operates, aka what is happening right now
- after that i will move you all onto the cadet grade 1 rank in the group and begin tracking your progress on the sta database spreadsheet which you can also see yourself
- when you move onto grade 1, you have to complete 2 basic objectives - the first you will notice is to simply receive 5 merit points from events
- and i will explain how merit points are credited later
- the second, which isnt really graded or regulated, and if you havent already, just learn the basics of raiding and defending and thats about it
- there is no mark for grade 1
- so once youve received the 5 merit points you will be moved onto grade 2 regardless
- grade 2 has two more objectives, except this time youre required to receive a "mark" to move onto grade 3
- so obviously you must receive 10 more merit points as said, which makes a cumulative total of 15
- and then you need to receive your grade 2 mark through a grade 2 trainer
- during the grade 2 training, you can contact any of the STA grade 2 trainers which are c4spian and outflash
- so remember those names, but you can always dm me or divided if you forget who your grade 2 trainers are
- theyre going to do your grade 2 training, in which theyre going to 1v1 you with RCL weaponry, because at the end of your progression through STA you will have to take a cumulative shock trooper test (which we just abbreviate as STT)
- which is worth 200 total points
- you will be graded on 2 raids and 2 defenses, each worth 100 points
- you will be grade on two obbies - one simple one, one expert one, worth 5 and 15 points, respectively
- and finally you will have a combat spar portion of the test with 1v1s and TDMs
- both portions worth 40 points each
- so obviously it will be important for you to pass these portions of the test, hence during the grade 2 trainings your trainers will run through all the points you are being graded on and will improve them if needed, and then they will have you do a sort of "mock" 1v1 portion of your STT where they grade you
- if you receive a 26/40 on their mock test, you will receive your mark and be moved onto grade 3 once you have completed your merit point objective
- grade 3 also follows under the same structure, but instead of 1v1s you will do a mock TDM portion of your test
- the only grade 3 trainers right now are me and commado_apple / sofa, and you will spar with us and other ST that we bring along
- not other cadets
- the same applies here, we will run you through the points that are being graded and try to improve them as much as possible
- as before, if you get a 26/40 on your mock test, you will receive your mark
- you also need 15 more merit points in this stage for a cumulative total, and you will receive a basic quiz on the SOPs
- nothing like
- "tell us what procedure xx is"
- itll be very easy and if youve read through them like 1 or 2 times it shouldnt be a problem at all
- once youve done all 3 of those things for grade 3, you will be moved onto your reviewal stage
- this is the part that really counts and is kind of the make or break for you
- this is where we do your STT and you are required to get a score of 130/200 or higher to pass
- so 65%
- you will pretty much attend 2 raids and 2 defenses each under the supervision of an ops chief+ or multiple ops chief+
- you can choose which raids and defenses you want graded, and so long as one ops chief or move is available they will grade you
- you should also note they will take into account the difficulty (or lack thereof) of the clans you will be raiding / defending against
- so even if you pick 2 easy raids and 2 easy defenses you will still be graded accordingly regardless
- after those are done you will have to do the two obbies i talked about previously, the first one of which is very easy, the second of which is expert level and we dont really expect many people to complete it
- you will have 3 minutes for each obby and if you fall or miss a jump or fail some part of the obby, you will automatically get sent back to the start and you can continue
- as many times as you want, as long as it is within the 3 minute time limit
- as i said the easy obby should be no problem so its pretty much a free 5 points, while the second obby most cadets should be able to complete all but maybe the last part or two of it
- which is going to put you at like 10/15
- and any further will receive more points accordingly
- and you will have more detail on those obbies later on when you make it through your grade 3 stage
- and then the last part and probably the most intense part for most people is going to be the combat spar portion of the STT like i previously described
- you should note this isnt just a "1v1 someone once and do x tdms" - STCOM will run your test for as long as they feel necessary
- you may 1v1 someone twice, or you may 1v1 3 people 2 different times, or 1 person 1 time and another person another time
- its all really down to their discretion until they feel they have accurately graded you
- the same goes for the TDMs, teams will be mixed and matched and swapped around until STCOM feels the grading they have given you is accurate
- the breakdown for the entire combat portion is located in the STA cadet doc, but i will just put it here for anyone who wants it
- ok nvm that format didnt work quite how i wanted let me reformat it real quick
- Your performance in the 1v1s and TDMs is worth 80 points total, divided as follows:
- - 1v1s (40 points).
- - Dodging (10 points).
- - Open contest (raw aim) (10 points).
- - Popshotting (5 points).
- - Terrain abuse (5 points).
- - Decision-making (10 points).
- - TDMs (40 points).
- - Combat IQ / intelligence (20 points).
- - Awareness (5 points).
- - Decision-making (5 points).
- - Teamplay viability (5 points).
- - Communications (5 points).
- - General skill level (20 points)
- so the subheadings are broken down accordingly
- for tdms there is two subheadings but for 1v1s its just the 5 points underneath it
- and like i said before it all accounts for a 200 point STT
- 130 points is a passing grade
- the ops chiefs present will grade each portion and if multiple are present then the averages of their grades will be taken instead
- points will be rounded up and down accordingly, integer values only
- no decimals
- because there is no need for it
- if you fail your STT, you will be sent back to the revision stage
- in which trainers will collectively work to reinforce any areas that you were lacking in during your stt
- whether its raiding, defending, 1v1s, or tdms
- whatever it is theyre going to do their best to try and fix it up and get you through
- after that you will have another shot at the STT
- if you fail the second time, STCOM will send to back to one of three grades depending on what they see fit
- it is HIGHLY unlikely you will ever be sent back to grade 1, and on top of that STCOM has the right to void merit points accordingly to where you are sent
- meaning if you are sent back to grade 2 because both your 1v1s and TDMS were lacking, they may not require you to redo merit points if your raiding and defending was not lacking
- and so on
- so pretty much you will have as much time as you want to make it through STA, so those of you that are not naturally "elite" can still work your way through with enough practice
- and trust me it does make a difference having someone to essentially personally mentor you which is what our trainers are going to be doing
- as for the merit points
- merit points are credited by STCOM for performance / showing up to events
- this is all decided pretty much by the online or respective ops chief at the event
- if there are more than one, they will converse collectively to decide how many points you are awarded
- if there are none, MAKE SURE you take a picture of the event and send it to one
- this is important
- if your name is not noted in the activity log or there is not a screenshot of you at an event, we wont credit you a point for that event if none of us are there
- so even if the host says theyre going to log everyone there or take a screenshot, take one for yourself
- for your own sake
- raids and defenses can be worth up to 2 merit points
- allied defenses (guns only) are worth up to 1 merit point
- we wont count other allied events such as trainings or raids or sword defenses
- like i said whatever the crediting ops chief chooses thats on them
- some may be more lenient some may not
- any other wij event that isnt an official raid / defense is worth up to 1 merit point, such as trainings, joint trainings, DTs, spars, etc
- same rules apply, the respective ops chief decides how many points you get
- and this can be a decimal value
- not necessarily integer
- and then lastly the STA database is where you are going to keep track of your progress
- there are 6 tabs on the spreadsheet, the cadet database which gives info about each cadet, the merit points database which shows credited merit points to cadets for events and whatnot, the mark database where we will keep track of cadets that have received there marks (or in contrast, those that have not yet received their mark), and the STT database, which shows a grading breakdown for each STT that is taken by a cadet, and the EGAs tab, which shows an extensive grading analysis of every mark mock test and STT, even the ones which they failed
- there is also a list of attendees for future use but that isnt important to STA
