Swedish uses SVO word order. The grammar is very similar to English. The subject may be omitted if using imperative.

Verbs have no plural conjugations. Verbs that follow other verbs often become the infinitive. If a word's infinitive is followed by -s then it becomes passive. To use the present tense (I.e. running) then the -a becomes replaced by -ar or -er. Words used in the perfect tense end with -t or -tt.

Nouns have two genders, "-en" and "-et" words. En words become plural by conjugating -ar or -er. Et words don't conjugate for the plural form.

The definitive form (The) is formed by attaching either -en or -et to the end of a word, depending on its gender. Plural definitives of en words would the plural plus -na. Plural definitives of et words become -en.

On both verbs and nouns, the "e" may not be added during conjugation.
