  1. >Firewood, the curse of the winter.
  2. >You wipe some of the sweat off your forhead that has gathered even through the cold winter.
  3. >Not far away you can see the clouds coming.
  4. "Ugh, time to start hauling this wood inside".
  5. >You go up to your front door and prop it open so that it will be easier to move in and out.
  6. >As you work hard to get all of the firewood inside it starts to snow as you work.
  7. "If jack frost doesn't stop this he's going to get an ice-cycle right up his- AHHHHH"
  8. >Fallen over a stary log, just what the doctor ordered.
  9. >You pick up what you were carrying and head on inside.
  10. >The new hole punched in your leg is turns out to be rather small so all you end up doing is put a band-aid over it to stop blood from getting on your pants.
  11. >Outside you notice that the snow is starting to fall at a rather steady pace.
  12. >and your door still proped open letting it in.
  13. "Great"
  14. >You go over to the door and shut it up for the night.
  15. >All of that lonely firewood will just have to learn to survive in the wild.
  16. >Not too much of the snow got inside but enough to make a decent size puddle if you don't do anything about it.
  17. >You head over to your bathroom to grab a towel to clean up the mess before it starts to melt.
  18. >While you are in the bathroom you hear something hit the ground with an "umpf".
  19.
  20. "Who's there?"
  21. >You head over to a nearby closet and grab one of your grandpa's golf clubs.
  22. "Come on out or I'm going for a hole in one"
  23. >You walk into the kitchen where you heard the noise from and hear something run into the next room knocking over a vase on it's way.
  24. "The cops are coming, just come on out."
  25. >Truth is you didn't think to call the cops just in case but if this guy meant bussiness you are going to show him the exciting part of golfing.
  26. >You walk into the next room, clup raised into the air searching for the robber.
  27. >Then you hear it, heavy breathing as if it was a scared animal.
  28. >You head over to your table and see a small horse trying to hide itself.
  29. >Seeing it isn't someone trying to steal everything you have, you relax.
  30. "Hey there little buddy."
  31. >The pony backs up against the wall fearing for it's life.
  32. >"Don't hurt me, please."
  33. >You put the golf club down on the ground.
  34. "No one is going to hurt you, see?"
  35. >The pony is still trying to back up even though it's out of space to do so.
  36. >You take a closer look at the small thing and notice that it's only a filly.
  37. >Then you relized why the thing is in here, she was hungry.
  38. "Ok, just wait here. Nothing bad is going to happen."
  39. >You pick yourself up and head back over to the kitchen.
  40.
  41. >Turning half of the cans on their side you fish out a jar of peanut butter.
  42. >Quickly you head back over to the pony that is still backed up against the wall.
  43. >You stick your pinky finger in and eat a small bit in front of the pony to show it's safe.
  44. >Then you stick your pointer and middle finger in and fish out a small bit for the pony.
  45. >Slowly you reach out your arm twards the pony to offer the treat.
  46. >She is hesitent at first but she slowly reaches for the peanut butter, licking it off of your fingers.
  47. >Now you slowly bring your arm back in to ge the pony out of her hidding place.
  48. >and she slowly follows your hand back out, all the while licking the treat placed on your fingers.
  49. >By the time all of the peanut butter is gone she is right in front of you with a tiny smile on her face.
  50. "You got a name?"
  51. >"S-Sweet Drop"
  52. >You pick up the pony slowly so she sees what you are doing.
  53. "Lets get you cleaned up"
  54. >The poor thing had a thick layer of dirt on her.
  55. >After about a half hour of getting her clean you dry her off, making sure she there is not a drop of water on her.
  56. >Then you take her back to the kitchen on which you put her on the table.
  57. "Hungry."
  58. >The small pony perks up and a smile goes across he face.
  59. >"Very"
  60. >In response you grab a knife and cut up and apple into slices.
  61. >Half for you and half for her.
  62.
  63. >Once again you slowly had her the apple so you don't scare the little thing.
  64. >She places her small hooves on the apple slice and hungrly eats it up.
  65. >When she finshes she looks up at you with a smile across her face.
  66. >"More"
  67. >A part of you warms up with as you give her another slice to enjoy.
  68. >After your snack with Drop you prepare her a small bed on your couch.
  69. "You ok with the couch?"
  70. >The small pony slowly shakes her head yes as she climbs on the couch and wraps herself in the blankets.
  71. "Goodnight"
  72. >She squeaks a small goodnight before you head to your bed.
  73. >Once you wrap yourself up you hear a small set of hooves come into your room.
  74. >"C-can I sleep with you?"
  75. >You look over at Drop standing in your doorway.
  76. >In response you get up and walk twards her.
  77. "Of course"
  78. >You lift her up and head back to bed, laying her at the foot of the bed.
  79. >However that didn't last long as he walked up and layed down at your side using your arm as a pillow.
  80. >Finally you feel asleep with your new little companion.
