BACKGROUND : jiyu was born in beijing, china prior to her parents' marriage. they got married when she was two years old, then departing from china to korea to find some peace and quiet from her father's side of the family – they weren't pleased at the fact that he had gotten a child before he had gotten married, petty issue, really. fast forward to elementary school, jiyu had a hard time trying to make a constant friends circle since a lot of them were fascinated by the fact that she was a half and half. and it wasn't pleasant to hear, from her point of view. it felt more like humiliation and separation rather than welcoming. in high school, her father had officially abandoned them, flying back to china abruptly with nobody knowing the reason why. jiyu and her mother were left with minimal money since her father was the source of most of it, since then, a lot of things had changed; moving neighborhoods, schools, signing up for jobs, compromising and much more struggle. it was her third year of high school when she found the hotel, the critical year of schooling where she needed the most money she could get and further more. her mother used to cater the events going on in here, cooking dishes that people adored. she had signed up and the owner had recognized her as one of his ex-employee's daughter – immediately expecting the same good service from her. it was pressuring, but it was fresh and new. she loved working here, the change from her gloomy home to the blissful luxury was enough to content her.

PERSONALITY : huang jiyu was indeed a mystery yet to be solved. nobody really talked to her back in school, a few classmates starting a bit of chit-chat and some boys trying to get into her pants but in the end, she'd always kill them by her gaze. jiyu was two sides of the same coin; a two faced thriller that over time, nobody was willing to go through anymore. an exterior so cold and demanding, so blunt and intimidating could lead to nothing but an ugly inside, isn't it? only her dearest mother had the fortunate token of seeing jiyu's soft and warm interior, cold gaze melting in hot concern and the bitter aura cool into a majestic sweetness. jiyu is a hardworking daughter that thinks people's comfort and emotion must be at the upmost top, even if her's are disregarded. and that's not necessarily a good thing, at times. however, her pride and such has become a sheer reason as to why she cannot fully portray her inner persona. a clingy, bright humorous girl is asleep within her while a faux demeanor is awakened; jiyu does not want everyone to know how soft-hearted she is, thinking she'd be taken for granted, or to their advantage. she's also terrible with words, hesitant over the emotions she fails to say to other people. other than that, she's very capable but when in need of guidance, her pride makes an entrance and despises asking for any help at all, leading to unavoidable chaos.

OPINION ON JOB : jiyu adores her job. it provides more than enough for herself and her mother since it's the most pay she's gotten out of all her jobs. she also loves the atmosphere change from her home to work, it's a place where she can focus on something else rather than all the negatives. jiyu's cold exterior diminishes when she's serving customers or offering guidance to them, her customer service is good in rank of an 8/10 but can't really take a hold of herself if her mood is disrupted.

HIS PERSONALITY : dong sicheng was someone who was too easy to adore. i mean, jiyu would be lying if she didn't hold some sort of affection for the boy. although very dependent on people, it could only be due to the fact that he was still new to the nation and needed some sort of familiarity before soaring. sicheng's very driven and talented, as well as easily adaptable to his environment. he's also very humorous once you've cracked his shy shell. sicheng is caring, genuine and sincere, almost as if he was a piece of sunshine in human form. very entertaining, a little mischievous and really dedicated.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM :
> beginning : awkward and strictly work. sometimes it got annoying to jiyu, because sicheng, like herself, needed constant assurance that he was doing things well and good. but of course, since they did share this similar quality, jiyu understood him. however, it was awkward between them since sicheng didn't really speak up often and he always seemed tense in her presence. jiyu was also very snobby at the starting of the job.

> middle : it was in this point of time when sicheng and jiyu started to get to know each other. jiyu's facade crumbled gradually and soon enough sicheng was a component in her daily life that she was learning to warm up to. he reminded her of the pure kids she'd once taken care of. jiyu began to attend to sicheng and show him sides of her that he hadn't seen before. this was also the time in which jiyu needed some sort of source of guidance and advice when it came to emotions towards sicheng. she'd always think of him as a colleague, and strictly at that rate only – jiyu was taken aback when her heart pounded harder than usual when she and sicheng make accidental contact. sicheng and jiyu were the type of dorks who could converse over anything and share their passions with one another, they could also joke around with each other, most of the time talking gibberish to others, but really, those were just their inside jokes. they'd text each other really often, sending videos of stupid things or of themselves if they couldn't meet up that certain day.

> end : the progress was slow but eventually, both parties began taking steps closer to one another until a certain comfort level. jiyu still had sides to herself that she refused to show but it was better than the beginning. she initiates most of the events between them and is more clingy towards him. despite the secretive side of her, jiyu is learning to open up but she still hasn't built up the courage to even speak to him about her feelings. when he initiates things (rarely), jiyu finds the time to tell him but is always hesitating and delaying her confession. jiyu, being extremely old-fashioned at times, wrote a very detailed letter to sicheng – since spoken words were not an option, written words were so much better; a play on her genuine emotions put up into a single piece of paper. jiyu stayed up very late that night, wanting to send the letter in while the boy was fast asleep. she'd asked one of the boys to place it next to his bed, anxiously waiting for him to read it once he woke up.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU :
> beginning; being honest, sicheng was very intimidated by jiyu. despite her cute looks, her spunky attitude was too complex for him to handle. he decided to keep silent and merely follow her instructions instead of building a further relationship with her, thinking that there was no chance that jiyu would soften up.

> middle; sicheng was up late, down at the restaurant and cleaning up a few tables. without knowing, jiyu was also there, behind the counter and taking a few notes and counting the profit from today but she was also on the phone with someone – who sicheng assumed was her mother. it was a shock to him to find jiyu speak so gently and look as if she wasn't going to come at someone any minute. he'd grown more careful and friendlier ever since his encounter with jiyu's little scene. instead of silence, he grew more curious and asked more questions which leads to his shamelessness and sudden boldness in their blooming relationship. he grew fond of her odd tendencies and adapted to her pretty well.

> end; oOooh boy, if sicheng was shy and such in the beginning, he's the opposite now. although still unsure and pure, sicheng knows how to hold a conversation with jiyu very well and he feels as if he'd managed to crack her shell as well as she did with him. sicheng doesn't start the fluffy skinship, but he does know how to elevate it despite the blush that threatens to expose itself to jiyu. sicheng also knows how to push her buttons more often and actually get away with it, but of course, who could stay mad at the cute dong sicheng? when he woke up the day that jiyu sent in her confession, sicheng's smile couldn't help but make an entrance. her letter was written in very brief and broken chinese, but he could understand. he wrote one in return, to confess his feelings as well.
