  1. Hello Everyone,
  2. I am currently planning a display called “Self-Defined” with my friend Killie and other people at my hometown, Chengdu, China. We want to show people the idea that EVERYONE is equal, and EVERYONE should choose with their freedom, and define themselves freely.
  3.
  4. Killie started with some prototype ideas of “Self-Defined” display, and later we decided to collect personal photographs to show the differences between how surrounding people perceive you and how you perceive yourself as one part in the display. We want to create a photo wall of individuals in different status (i.e., you are dancing, you are traveling, you are hanging out with friends) from a wide variety of countries and cultures. Therefore, we would love to ask for some help from you guys! If you want to give us your personal pictures to reveal all perspectives of the “REAL” you, that will be perfect!
  5. Here are the photo requirements:
  6. 1. More than two photos must be submitted, no beauty filters can be added;
  7. 2. All the photos must be different (and can show your personality/identity);
  8. 3. Remember to attach a name and a short self-description, so that everyone can know you better;
  9. 4. The photo pixel size is no less than 300dpi.
  10. I also put some templates to let you better understand the requirement!
  11.
  12. We really need your support and help! If you are interested in this, please send your pictures to either Self_Defined@163.com (since this is a Chinese email address it might be hard to send emails) or pomeloywu@gmail.com (preferably this one)!
  13.
  14. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

  19. By the way, “Self-Defined” is also an online magazine we created in 2016. We publish articles on human rights, gender equality, social welfare issues on a Chinese social media platform WECHAT every week, aiming at empowering fellow citizens to define themselves, not by society and surrounding noise from families and friends.
